Awesome video and great story about your Alfa. I’ve never seen an Alfa Romeo like this before and I assumed it was a newer model year than it actually is. Definitely modern looking! And I’m very glad you fixed up the car. Although putting time and money into a car which may not be worth much monetarily might seem like a bad idea to most people, the experience of fixing it and bringing something you love back to life can be worth more than any amount of money. It’s also a very exciting experience to slowly improve a damaged vehicle. Each time something is improved or fixed it makes the car feel like new again. This story with your Alfa is what I experienced with my vehicle and it was well worth the money and I had fun along the way. And now, I can drive the car without being embarrassed with how bad it looks or feels haha. Congratulations with getting the Alfa running and looking much better, I hope it’ll be a great car for you in the future! I’m looking forward to seeing more of it. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much James, I really appreciate your support and comments as always! I can imagine that this Alfa is a bit unfamiliar to you as it was never sold in the U.S market., but it is indeed a timeless and modern-looking car for its age - the interior in particular has aged wonderfully in my opinion. The 156 and the other 90s classic Alfa Romeos are also about to approach the 25 year mark soon, so in a couple of years it will be possible to import and legally drive these cars in America - definitely something to look forward to!
I completely agree with you and can resonate so much with the sentiment of investing time and effort into a car that is special to you. Although it might not be the most rational or sensible financial decision, the process of bringing a neglected car back to life is so rewarding - really a priceless feeling indeed!
Haha, that is very interesting! Is it a vehicle that you have featured on your channel? I can't imagine it is your Cadillac Fleetwood Limited considering that it is in such great shape. Granted, most 20+ year old cars are bound to have at least some issues even if well taken care of.
Thank you, I am really happy that my Alfa is back on the roads again... except the fact that it ended up breaking again a couple of days ago, so that was rather short-lived. Life of an Alfa Romeo owner, haha. I will definitely post more videos of it in the coming weeks.
Likewise, keep up the amazing work on your channel - I'm really looking forward to catching up on your new Cadillac reviews you have posted as soon as time allows. Take care!

A great car! I'm really touched by your dedication. Keep up the good work! I personally adore the 156, knowing full well that it's not really a mainstream stance.

Thank you for watching, I appreciate the kind words! It is indeed a special car worth preserving despite being notorious for its reliability issues and the fact that it is FWD.

Appreciate the love but, Well, if you leave an Alfa outside for two years in Sweden's winter, you can hardly take it against the Alfa of 25 years.
Challenge is to similarly mistreat (say) a 25 years old Passat and see.. ;-)

I agree, I am genuinely impressed how well my old Alfa handled being left outside for so long in such poor conditions. This was clearly not ideal, but I am afraid it was the only option at the time as as the car was unroadworthy (and illegal to drive) at the time and the fact that I had limited interior space to store it.
Thankfully it will be spending its winters inside a dry storage unit from now on.
