If a goaltender often has to sprawl and make desperation saves that means theyre not positionally sound so they have to rely on athleticism to make up for it. The reason why Carey Price is considered one of the greatest goalies of all time is cuz hes so positionally sound, he doesnt have to show off his flexibility or speed often because hes already in the right position to make the save.
