  • Apparently there's a new kid on the block for 1911 and 2011s. Bul Armory has been becoming more and more popular in the competition 1911/2011 space. The Trophy is a single stack IPSC classic division gun. This one is chambered in 9mm, and features an ambidextrous safety, oversized adjustable mag release, front and rear cocking serrations, magwell, etc... And for the price point, I think it's a hidden gem of a deal.
    The 1911 Syndicate is a niche real estate company. No, we don't just work with clients who need off grid properties or to rent space for a gun shop. Almost all of our clients are shooters/military/LEO's/hunters and outdoorsmen who need to buy or sell a house. You should use us because we're actually good at our job, fortunately, the side bonus is that we all share a love of common interests. All of our clients get treated to custom knives when they buy their house, and private events. All of our 2019 clients got to partake in an end of year private CQB course. We operate in Utah and Arizona.

    My Desert Eagle 1911 ( made by Bul ) has served me well for years. Slide is smooth as buttered glass, trigger is fantastic. You're absolutely right: Bul makes a better than average 1911 for a very mainstream price.

    I was trying to find a 9 mm 1911, have or have owned six 45 acp versions. For about 18 months, was looking locally for a Bul, magnum research, or Springfield emissary. Ended up being enticed to purchase a Alpha Foxtrot, the parts fit and finish were outstanding but after the first three rounds touching each other on the target it failed its first 100 round range test (fail to eject many times). Just got back from the manufacturer in Georgia yesterday in very good turn around time, but have not retested yet.

    I have one I love it, its a beautifully made piece, 2600 dollars here in Oz not a cheap 1911 but unfortunately mine wont load 10 rounds, 9 clicks in fine but 10 rounds in a mag and I have to literally SLAM it into the gun, and that broke the ejector off which I had to replace. So when I use it for IPSC I'm at a one round less disadvantage. I contacted Bul and they are yet to get back to me but promise they will. Great review btw 😉

    In a 1911 review, where all the guns fit the same form factor, its helpful to get deeper into component details. For example, Dan Wesson, which others have mentioned as the primary price-point competitor at approx. $1700 uses all bar stock small parts, whereas something like a Springfield TRP - also a nice gun in the $1400-ish range uses a good amount of MIM. When a newcoming to the market, like BULL comes along, we want to know whats IN the gun, and how they're making them. Without that you're just kinda saying, "Well, it's a 1911, alright!" Thanks Brother!

    • @ironbran3
      @ironbran3 4 года назад +2

      Keter this is a solid reply and explanation of the difference between MIM and Bar Stock. However I have to disagree on your statement on 1911s only being “art you can shoot”. If that was the case, why do 1911 type handguns virtually dominate all forms of action pistol shooting? Glocks are a fantastic choice for many organizations due to their low cost, ease of operation, and simplicity of repair (Glock parts simply drop in and do not require the fitment a 1911 part would demand). However, when it comes to accuracy, reliability, longevity of the firearm itself, and downright shooting speed, 1911s rock.

    This is the best 1911 youll find under 2k still. Dan Wesson makes some that are close with maybe a tighter fit (overrated tbh) but even those have tags at or over 2k and the action on the Trophy is still one of the best ive come across in any price range. They really know how to fit slides to frames and lap their rails properly because this gun is just smoother than ice sliding down melted butter on a taut nutsack. Theyve updated it a bit since this too, better serrations on the slide, extended mag release and a better looking trigger. Bul makes some of the best production 1911s out there even though theyve started to make a name for themselves theyre still underrated as hell.

    1st video from this guy I've ever watched and he decided to review a competition gun without even trying to get a clue of what the rules of the competition this gun is designed for. Come on, 5 min of research on google would have clared up that personal ignorance!
    The rest of the "review" is pretty much Mr. Tacticool trying to explain why a beachball is a substandard hockey puck. (no rail for my rocket launcher kind of shit). Get your crap together man, at least acknowledge that you are reviewing a power tool and not a spanner. Geez...
