Triarc Systems is a shop out of Texas that makes AR-15's, 2011's (Tri-11), 1911's, and custom Glocks. We have featured the Tri-11 in multiple videos, a 9mm double stack pistol that has been a great gun. Today's video isn't one we took much pleasure in making. But knowing that people have purchased Triarc's based on our recommendation, we feel it's our responsibility to come to you when the tide turns. Over the course of this year we've had enough experiences to advise that our opinion has gone from "buy it" to "hold off for now." We certainly are hoping for the best and that Triarc will clean up some of their issues (in our opinion).
The 1911 Syndicate is a unique company. At our core, we're actually a real estate company believe it or not. We're based in Utah, but can help you wherever you are located. We're also a media company for the firearms community. Every week you can expect to see new content, whether it be gun and gear reviews, training content, "challenges," etc... So if you need some help on a real estate deal hit us up, or if you're a company in the firearms space who has some cool stuff you'd like us to show off, hit us up any time.

I 100% agree with your concerns about Triarc customer service. They dominate the influencer marketing space and hype their stuff. A few months back I placed an order for an AR and a 1911 they had in stock, didn’t hear anything for 2 weeks so I reached out and was told “yeah that’s not actually in stock the website is wrong it’ll be 14 weeks to build”. Super weird vibes and rude customer service. Future questions went unanswered and so I called and canceled my order, sounded like I got the owner on the phone and he didn’t bat an eye when I cancelled my $4,500 order, didn’t ask why, didn’t offer an apology or explanation, zero attempt to keep my business. Felt like I dodged a bullet with them.
Interesting
Weird. Chris himself helped me with my build and each of the staff I have been in contact with has been eager to help and answer my questions and make changes to my order. Wether it be over the phone or email. 🤷🏽♂️
Good for you, companies like this shouldn’t get any business at the point. Customer service is #1 and always will be no matter what business you are in.
Had very similar experience with them myself. They are complete disaster of a company right now!
@@CertifiedBullpupHater I had a similar experience over the summer. I'm still a buy now guy from TRIARC
Jake , this is exactly why i respect what you guys do on your channel . theres very few channels that give a true heartfelt review
Just doing our part
Appreciate the honest review Amigo, please inform owner to contact us. We offer a lifetime warranty with all our products so we will fix any issues. We take in feed back and dive deep into any issues that occur. We will problem solve and implement any new processes that will help mitigate any potential issues. Thanks again.
Props to you guys for wanting to make it right!
@@nucphyschem1 it's been a interesting and tough year but I am extremely proud of our team. we are continuing to learn and adapting to make positive changes. Thanks Amigo
@@TRIARCSystems I’m really rooting for you guys. It’s not necessarily the issues the arise with certain products but rather how the issues are dealt with. I hope this is all resolved soon and you guys keep growing while maintaining the quality and integrity of your product. Hope to see you all live up to your own motto “pushing forward”
Sorry to say but you guys are not being honest. You are definitely not problem solving at all nor do you offer anything in terms of customer service. I haven’t heard from anyone for 10 weeks about my pistol and than got the wrong gun. When tried to resolve this issue I got major runaround and “we don’t give a fuck” attitude. Had to call over 10 times just to receive a partial refund almost 2 months later. I literally never leave bad comments but this time I had to. It was beyond tragic the way I was treated as a customer. I own many high end guns and never ran into this kind of issue. My understanding is that you don’t give a fuck about few disappointed customers since you have so many orders you can’t even process right now. Good luck in your attempt to restore your reputation. I truly wanted to be a fan and was looking to order 3-4 more guns from you guys. Won’t happen anymore.
@@phenom7181 Give is a call anytime between 10-6 CST Amigo so I can look into the issues you had and implement the changes but I need some exact details. So give us a call next and defense your RUclips tag. Thanks again
Nice, honest review. Continue to keep it real and you’ll continue to grow your channel. Really appreciate it.
I wish they would stop straight telling their customers lies about lead times among other issues
Thanks for being up front. I just was told to look up Triarc handguns when I was looking for a new 2011. I'll keep looking at STACCATO's.
Those things are too nice man. Good choice. That firehawk from nighthawk is amazing too.
Yea if you've got 5 g's a fire hawk is dope. I do happen to know of 2 new 2011's hitting that market soon that will be new players
@@1911syndicate Thanks for that info, I will keep my eyes out for them.
@@1911syndicate are those 2 news ones affordable?
@@1911syndicate what's their names?
I appreciate your honest review. Triarc built me two rifles. The first in 2018 and the second in 2019. I am pleased with the build and performance of both rifles. I recently stopped by shop during the pandemic and observed that they were swamped with backorders due to circumstances beyond their control. I love the crew and hope they continue to improve their firearms. I really enjoy your videos. Keep em coming.
Thanks man
Came into this hoping for a knocked it out of the park review. But I appreciate the honest opinion. I'm not a millionaire and when I spring for a high end 1911 I don't want there to be any doubt.
Understood
I am grateful of your honest review. I purchased a tri-11 based on your review of your pistol and your thoughts of the gun and the company. I am not a gunsmith myself but own several high end 1911's from cabot and nighthawk. These are truly hand built. Tri-arc states that their guns are hand fitted but I highly doubt they are. I can rotate the bushing with no problem at all. You can also observe that there are no contact surface wear marks on the barrel at either the muzzle end or at the lower lugs. They look and feel like drop in parts. The finish on the guns is nothing to write home about either. The plastic grip module looks cheap. I also agree with the bad customer service. I have called several times and no-one answers the phone. I finally received a response to an email days later only after a emailed them again several times. For a few dollars more you can buy a Cabot or NH especially now that both are making 2011"s.
Damn that's a bummer man, sorry to hear that
I call all the time, I never had a problem getting through... odd
I know this video is 1 year old but this just made me decide against purchasing the Triarc/Centrifuge 2011 for $3100. Thank you!🙏🏼
I support your decision
Haven’t even watched the video yet. But gotta hit the thumbs up and comment to feed the beast. Love the channel
My man
And this is why this channel will be absolutely huge one day. You're not one of those guys giving positive reviews and selling holsters on your channel trying to grow the channel short term.
I can not wait for more honest content and see you shift this industry towards a better version of itself.
It’s tough man. A lot easier to make a living at this if you want to shill. It’s not BS, we’ve said no to some absolute garbage that people wanted us to rep
Refreshing to hear an honest review on Triarc. Nowadays it’s very hard to determine what is truly a real perspective vs influencer/marketing. Keep up the good content. Got a subscriber here.
They’ve done a very good job with influencer marketing. Which is a compliment to them. The problem as a consumer is distinguishing between positive remarks from influencers and objective opinions
I wish Hi-Point would make a 1911.
Yeah, and I wish Ferrari would make a toilet. Ya know, so you can go fast.
Lol
Its has to be call the Hi-Point 11 lmfao
Definitely gained a follower
This is the best way to conduct reviews.
Thanks for the honesty brother.
Welcome my guy
I have a custome Atlas Gun Works ESP Bushing Barrel. The tolerances are vary precise. I do not need a bushing tool to remove the bushing. I can rotate it with my hand. Slide to Frame is insanely tight. The accuracy of this ESP is insane. With Bushing in place, I had a hair get stuck in-between the barrel and bushing, and had to pulls slide back to remove. have had zero issues.
Can’t believe no one has asked about the shades this man is wearing, they look badass. Great, honest review. Appreciate it. 👍🏻
Haha, magpul
I guess I’m glad I went Nighthawk for my double stack!
No doubt that's a nice build
I love your disclosures. Need more honest folks like you
We'll keep them coming
I could be way off but I feel like triarc is a gun assembling company not a gun builder , and with hi end 1911 this will really show
I mean, they make an incredible 2011
I mean they have a barrel that is proprietary but i doubt they actually make the barrel in house. ....but yes I TOTALY AGREE, over rated qucci fanboy crap same as Q, Noveske, etc. Those companies do very little to their products to demand the ridiculous prices, compared to a company that actually does deserve the high price like, LMT, LWRC, KAC, POF, Hodge, and others.
Their quality went to shit due to volume they can’t handle...major disappointment with my Tri11
In my opinion it's a matter of timing, my Tri-11 from 2.5 years ago is solid, but guns made in the last 12 months I personally would not buy
I can’t speak on the handguns but my rifle from them has been great. As far as customer service goes it was 50/50.
Agreed 100%. My 13.9 is absolutely fantastic.
Thank you for calling out their customer service. It's horrible. Has been for a couple years now. I thought other dudes were just being whiny until I had a small issue myself.
It’s not a lie man. I’m surprised people can’t see the writing on the wall
Hell yea! Love the honesty. It is what it is.
Respect Jake, for bucking the gun influencer group think. These kinds of videos are what make a loyal fan base.
Yea it'll be interesting, we're more concerned with the audience than pleasing companies
Heard good things about this company. Sounds like it’s been taking a turn as of late.
Your honesty about this topic has me hitting the SUBSCRIBE button. I hope that Triarc is able to get back on track. I'd been wanting to get one of their ARs
Same, I’m hoping for the best
I have seen the Chambers custom brutal review of one of their tri-11s and now yours. I honestly like how the Tri-11s look but think they are going thru their growing pains right now. Hopefully they can work it out like STI did.
Hoping so
triarc is simply garage built guns with really successful marketing.
The channel is blowing up, excited to see where it goes

I totally agree with this review 1000%!
Your videos are amazing man! Keep doing exactly what your doing!

On week 8 of my wait for my rifle with them. Have been debating whether or not I should cancel in times like this.
That's above my pay grade, do whatever you feel good about, but you probably aren't going to see that rifle for a period of months
Honest reviews as always thanks bro🤟🤟🤟🤟
Great, honest review-had wondered about Triarc...and yes, I giggled like a stupid teenager over your hot loads comment, so sue me😂
Ce 1911 cette oeuvre d'art c'est mon pistolet préféré..👍
You nailed it.. I’m getting really concerned about the reviews I’ve been hearing lately as well about qc.. I’m still waiting on my order from June that was supposed to be here in aug (10 week lead time). it’s now October and still is in parts allocation. It’s an upper receiver without a bcg or muzzle device in plain black.. close to cancelling my order at this point. Month 5 and nothing but social media updates. Can’t even get an email saying “hey, your order blah blah blah”..
Really hope they can get it together and pick it up because like you said I want them to succeed as well and would rather not cancel or have to send my order back for a qc issue..
It's a tough position man, you're not the only one, I know that much
Looking to get my first handgun. Live in NYC, took 18 months to get my license and it’s a huge hassle to get each new pistol. Probably going to get some sort of Wilson Combat 1911 in 9mm.
Strong endorsement from us on that
@@1911syndicate Thanks, just curious if you think it’s worth getting a Cabot or some other High end 1911, or just stick with Wilson Combat? I don’t plan on getting another 1911 ever, maybe some sort of pocket pistol down the track.

As a very recent triarc customer I fully agree with your review and perception of where they are currently as a company. Think there are some growing pains there. I wish them nothing but the best, however don’t think I will do business with them again...
Damn, sucks to hear man, but better to hear it than not
What happened
@@AFGixxeR88 Chris - thanks for reaching out and I’m more than happy to discuss however more directly may be a bit more beneficial if that would be useful to you. Here’s a summary if that helps...I purchased a tri-11 in March with a 10 week lead time. I checked in on week 11 as I had no communication from the team (I purchased in-store not online). I took delivery ultimately in early July (17 weeks), however it wasn’t delivered with all the options as specified (missing extended slide release) when I picked it up in store. I was assured it would be resolved within a couple of weeks, however no communication initiated by the team since that time. I’ve checked in by phone a couple times as it’s been a few months now, however unable to receive feedback on when this last remaining item will be resolved. With me driving all of the communication and the terse/noncommittal feedback that I’ve received when I do call in, it hasn’t left me with the most comfortable experience relative to our relationship. I have to admit that I’m starting to have some concern if this will really ever be resolved. This has been the single most expensive firearm purchase I have made, and I selected your company.... I’m guessing this will all be resolved as I get that sense from you, however to be honest, the overall experience hasn’t been the best for such a large financial transaction from my perspective and honestly has led me to believe that I, as a customer may not be all that important/valued. Let me know if you would like to connect. I’m always happy to catch up and like I said, I do wish you guys success....

Duder, thanks for this review, but now i'm wondering if i should pull the plug on my TRI-11 order from August. I probably won't see my gun for another month, at least. I was assuming the longer wait times was due in large part to increased social media attention, but i didn't expect to hear their quality started to drop off. Thanks for the honesty man.

I was not expecting that, appreciate the honesty. #trustfall
I just got a STI staccato P duo ...would like to hear ur thoughts on that one !!!
Staccato rebranded to focus on making production level 2011 pistols so you will see fewer quality issues than Triac who is now overflowing with demand and still has lesser experienced gunsmiths.
Working on a Staccato review, will be in the coming 3 months I think

Great video! I also have some quality issues with my Akai Custom 2011. Since I am in the EU, I don't know how to solve it economicly. The return and re-export cost is nearly 4000 usd. Akai's customer care is way under than what you expect after purchasing 5210 usd pistol.
If you know a good lawfirm or any other solution, please let me know.
Thanks,
did triarc ever address issues with this gun?
I’m not sure. Not with me. I believe the owner of the gun got rid of it
I have now gotten to the end of the video and I think my weekend is ruined lol..thanks for the genuine review though. Hopefully they turn it around before my build starts.
Hope so man, if you need anything, send a DM on IG
Love It! True Story!
I sent a couple of Glock slides to TriArc in August, and got em back recently with some pretty noticeable blems in the slide and laser cuts. I figure maybe they aren't being as careful due to the crazy increase in demand for everything. Anybody had a similar experience with any of their products?
Man bummer
I’ve had the same issues here. Sent in a Glock 43 slide that looks like it has some tooling marks left on the slide cuts as well as a portion of the slide that looks like was missed in the nitride finishing process. Also sent in a Glock 19 slide that has some blemishes in the finish. Lastly I was made aware halfway through my order that my Glock 17 slide had a defect in the serration cuts. I was offered about 40 bucks off of my 400 dollar order to “make it right” however I haven’t accepted that yet and I’m not sure how to handle that. I get that any manufacturing process will have defects but my lead time was 6-8 weeks when I ordered it and it’s been 18 weeks now upon being notified of the issue. If you’re gonna take 20 weeks to do a simple slide cut then it better be perfect, with or without COVID impacts.
@@johnm3659 Exactly. The whole point of ponying up for a high-end shop with a months long lead time is to have the work done by artisans. I wanted to get a 2011 down the line, but after having both of my Glock slides botched I have zero faith in their ability to cut straight lines at a proper depth, much less build a premium 2011 that deserves it’s $3,000 price tag. I’m working on selling the Glocks so my hands can clean on the whole deal and I can forget it ever happened.
@@trddybrrks5222 that’s too funny about selling off your glocks to wipe yourself clean from the experience. I had the exact same thought and will likely do the same. Looking back on it, I wish I didn’t let myself get swept away with the influencer hype around the company. I’m sure they were great at the start but I should have saved the 1200 dollars for the work I paid them to do and spent it on ammo. I’m sure there are great companies out there but this whole experience turned me off from “custom” firearms and I’ll be returning to stock for all of my glocks. #makestockglocksgreatagain
@@johnm3659 I just want my custom work to be done by true artists and craftsmen. I have a feeling they just weren’t ready for the explosion of demand in 2020. Desperate to fill orders, work got rushed and QC took a back seat. There’s just no way to scale up as quickly as they would have needed to, they should have stopped taking orders the minute they fell behind. It’s unfortunate because I probably would have gotten good results had I sent them in a year prior.
Watching this waiting on a Triarc AR. Awesome. Lol
Ouch
I really appreciate and respect you for a honest review. I've been really considering getting a 2011 from them, but this has me considering other options. I honestly didn't think they were a production shop. Not sure why I thought most of their parts were in house. What is the best ambi 2011 you would recommend in upper mid-tier segment?
Right now it jump from basically Staccato all the way to Atlas the guns. Within a 2-3 month window I know there's a couple new players entertain the 2011 space, I know both personally and they show great promise
@@1911syndicate I've heard similar has happened with Sticato regarding quality going down due to the high demand. However I've had my eyes on an XC. One just came into the shop near me. Given your recommendation, I may need to see if I can trade one of my organs for it. Something I won't miss too bad. Maybe one of my kidneys 😅
@@Johnblaze678 no. Staccato is the same as their STI days. I’ve bought guns from them since 2015 and they’re quality is still fantastic. I’ve got a few 2011s I recommend
Staccato
Nighthawk (TRS) double stack guns
Atlas Gunworks
Alchemy custom weaponry
Chambers customs
Wilson
And Bul Armory.
Bul armory is Very VERY good for a price point below $2,400 (usually)
Now I own 2011s from all of those makers
Mostly one model but I own 5 staccatos/STI, great quality.

Hope so
Fuck this is a great channel my pleasure!🤯🔫👍🏼
Basically, the gun is not worth the price. From what I see here, your review is to the point.
Correct
I thought some 1911/2011 mags are meant to lock the slide back and some are not for competition reasons I could be wrong but I think
Correct, but this is not what's going on
Love your content. I personally ordered a TSR15 from Triarc 14 weeks ago. When I ordered, they had it plainly listed on their site that it would be 10-14 weeks for any custom AR builds. They have since updated the site to say up 12-16 weeks. I have called them 3 times now. First at 7 weeks just to check status, and they told me to call back around 10-11 weeks to see if they had allocated the appropriate barrel. I called again around that time and they said they were still working on orders from May/June. I called again this week just to check. They stated they have a steady supply of barrels that are coming in weekly, and they are steadily working through backorders. I actually spoke with Chris their owner the second time I called. They were cordial on the phone and apologetic, but matter of fact. Just a lot of demand, and they are working through the queue. But to be honest, I’m not mad about the wait. With most of the custom/high end builders there is a lead time, and a lot of those times are long. Patience is key to get what you want, and being respectful to the people who are making it goes a long way too. Also they posted on someone’s comment in one of their videos that they are offering rebates if they didn’t hit their expected lead time. Now, if I get the rifle and there are problems, my tune might change. But I suspect they will put together a sick build for me. It’s a good thing I’m not depending on this buy for anything right now because I have other firearms, but I can see how a first time buyer or someone with little patience could get miffed. Also remember Covid times.....
Exact same boat for me. I’ve been helped out quite a bit by the staff and although I would like my rifle to have been in my hands yesterday I understand the difficulty Covid has brought. Everything I have seen about Triarc until this video and the chambers custom post has been 100% positive. I think it’s an issue to have a stellar reputation sometimes because when screw ups happen everybody starts talking about it. SOLGW, BCM, STI had some issues and I’m sure I can find somebody’s KAC that fell apart in their hands. My main concern is how the company responds to such issues...not necessarily the issue themselves.
@@CertifiedBullpupHater To not it get it; it's not what you do when times are good and people right that shows me what your made of, but when times are rough and people are not will tell me who you really are.
Hey if you're happy with everything, but all means rock n roll
Had a similar experience with my 13.9 that I ordered in March. Covids had an impact on all manufacturers for awhile they were literally waiting on a stock for my rifle.I got my rifle back in June and I’ll tell you personally, have absolutely nothing but great things to say about it. I’ve had 0 issues and it’s one of the best shooting rifles I’ve ever held. I think you’ll completely forget about the wait the first time you get your hands on it and get rounds through it. Same could probably said for all of the Texas PDs and Swat teams that are replacing all of their duty rifles with Triarcs
I want to support this company so bad but I’ve had them screw up 2 out of the 3 slides that I sent in for slide work. Their way of resolving the issue was to offer 10% off of my order. Although these were minor machining defects, it just screams of quality control issues and is honestly insulting to the customer. I could overlook these sorts of things if my promised lead time of 6-8 weeks didn’t turn into 18 weeks for their basic slide cut!
Fuck dude that’s not good
Was it a new gun?
Did the owner have concerns?
approx 1000 rounds through it before we got it
I literally own this exact gun. Like the serial numbers match. I bought it on gunbroker a couple months ago. I paid $2800 for it. Seems like a good deal. I love the gun. I have shot probably 1000 rounds through it and haven’t had a single issue. I assume the slide locking back would be a grip issue since it is not easily replicated. I haven’t had any issues with it. I’m using Wilson combat mags and I haven’t had it stick. Do you think the gun could have been dirty?
Nope happened with multiple shooters 🤷🏼♂️

Personal experience with Triarc mid 2020 pandemic*
I had a great experience. Placed an order for their centrifuge rifle 13.9” barrel. Lead times took longer than advertised but I kept up with their Friday live streams on IG and had my questions answered. Made a call asking if they could put my order on the back burner for a few months since I was going TDY. “Just call back when you get home and we will get you setup.” Came back and called and two weeks later they had me ready to go. Fitment is great, no leaking gas after at least a dozen and a half mags at this point. It’s a shame to see they are having issues but nobody is perfect. Hope to see those issues disappear
Thanks for chiming in
🔥 Hot Loads 🔥
Better than cold loads
$3700 so it’s competing with Nighthawk?
So do you think that they’re focusing on their Tri-11s rather than their 1911s?
Crap. 26:08 that is NOT what I wanted to hear.
Honestly I don't. I think right now it's across the board that there's some quality issues and customer service issues
I feel like their QC slipped trying to be a law enforcement gear provider, instead of a high end pistol company
You might be right
Triarc handguns are nice but their not the cats meow. 👊🇺🇸🇺🇸💪
There was a time when they were nice. Those days have expired
Thank you for being honest and please don’t change that. For that kind of money everything you pointed out is unacceptable. Keep up the great videos thanks. I don’t even own a 1911 but my $500 dollar Canik doesn’t have that many issues and probably has a better trigger LoL.
You’re not wrong
Eating oatmeal while listening to you talk about shooting hot loads. Jesus
It's pretty disturbing
poorly fit mag catch and poorly fit slide stop usually cause those issues
It’s uncomfortable for me it’s uncomfortable to you but just go with it.... I’ve said that a few times 😂😂😂
Man, you and a couple of guys in the comments section, saved me SO much money! I like spending my money with American businesses; especially those from home state, TEXAS. Based on what I've learned here, and the critique from Joe Chambers; I'll be spending my hard earned cash with another Texas based gun company: STACCATO.
Yea, I'm in a tough boat. I've long been a fan of Triarc, and hope they turn a corner, but right now, it's just dicey in my opinion
👍🏽👍🏽
If I spent that much on a gun and it’s didn’t shit golden eggs I’d have a new biggest regret.
I can tell you were very uncomfortable doing this video....
Indeed
Damn !!! I thought this was gonna be a .45 .. very disappointed
👍🏻
Speaking of awful customer service, chaos gear supply....
Nice fudd gun
Jake its ok. You can always shoot hot loads. It happens to every man from time to time. Admitting the problem is the first step.
Look it was after a heavy meal so it doesn't count
@@1911syndicate Nice "Analyze this" reference bro
Triarc custmer service is a fucking disaster right now. I placed an order on one in stock gun back in April. 2 days later I was told the gun wasn’t available but they could build one just like it in 6-8 weeks. 18 weeks later I received completely wrong build that was around $400 cheaper. Called several times to get rude short responses and utterly ridiculous runaround on refund etc. Finally about a month later got my partial refund back after 10+ phone calls. Crazy horrible experience from a mediocre company that’s way over their head with amout of work they are trying to do. I wanted to love them and was about to order another 3 guns from them including one AR, but after this debacle with my last order it will not happen. Quality is also not there relative to it’s price and comparing it to the Nighthawk double stacks or something like Wilson Combat it feels cheaper and nearly as well put together. Major disappointment!
Shit, that's a real bummer man, sorry to hear that
Their website shows as in stock to be able to order a build. I can see how the “in stock” flag and the “buy now” button could get confusing but I bet that’s somewhat boiler from their e-commerce platform. They should maybe consider adjusting that, but it’s not necessarily that simple.
But once you’re on the order page, it states in red letters lead-time approx. 12-16 weeks...
So far I’m sticking with my order.
@@jeffreycho4106 this was 8 months ago before Covid and all. This particular firearm was fully in stock in its configuration. Since then, they have changed their website ordering system considerably. At that time, even for new custom build orders, lead time was 6-8 weeks. Good luck with your order!
