Love that this is a channel of 2 average guys BS’ing on guns. Not claiming to be experts, just, hey, I shot it, here’s my take. Production is off the charts as well
I really like my Staccato c2 and I can shoot it well, but for my EDC I still go with my G19 that I built. It's lighter and it always go bang with little up keep. The Staccato needs to be cleaned and oiled and you'll know when you start to get stove pipes. It's a tack driver (Holosun 507c) for sure and makes shooting easy. And that is another reason I like my Glock because you can't slack on fundamentals (Grip, trigger control) because it will show. The Staccato is so forgiving and will make you lazy imo. But Staccato has great Customer service and makes a great Pistol.
Q: I too have only carried and used Glocks for exactly 10 years. How difficult is the transition to a 2011? As far as safety, not being able to hit slide lock on reloads and such? I want to get a Staccato but very hesitant because obviously price and also I might suck for a long time.
It was an easy transition from Glock to staccato c2dpo for me. Just took practice and training! But kept my Glock because I didn’t want to carry my Staccato. But just sold my last Glock and getting another staccato, going for the P Dpo this time. I would say just go for it and don’t look back haha. Now I am a proud owner C2 duo XC and soon to be a P dpo
Seeing this review just makes me smile. I want a staccato for obvious reasons but my number 1 reason is because the name of my hometown is engraved on the bottom of the pic rail. I was born in Georgetown, Texas just like that gun in y'alls hands and I take immense pride in that.
@@randomactsofriding4850 in USPSA its a 'Limited' division gun. If you place and Optic on it, you're now using an "Open' gun. I believe you can shoot it in IDPA as Carry Optics.
@@SEALAX in USPSA a staccato p without optic can be shot in limited, limited 10, and production. In USPSA competition a Staccato P would qualify to shoot in carry optics with the removable flared magwell removed.
@@JohnSmith-bf1sq Agree but, I don't want to shoot Limited or any other Division with iron sights. My eyesight is poor so an optic is more than helpful. I have an XL (not an XC or P) and don't want to remove the magwell from the XL and, I wouldn't if I had the P instead of the XL. If it places me in Open, so be it but I think the USPSA rule that places folks like me (magwell and/or an optic) in Open division vs the others should be reviewed by USPSA. Thats not likely either so, I'll shoot in Open.
Glad to see your surefire glass is as cooked as mine. I see videos of people with the p and they must take the light off prior to shooting cause theirs are clear.
just put some chapstick on the glass before a range session and after every range session wipe it off with tissue paper and a q tip. the chapstick will catch all the nasties on your glass. Works every time thank me later!
If you come across someone that calls an M3 a super car, you best be smacking the shit out of them. Also, as always, great video. I never thought i would see Chris not carrying a glock
I would love someone to do a comparison video with a staccato C2 duo vs like a couple of average carry guns like the CZ p10c the Glock 19 and maybe like a 320 if y’all ever decide to do that Video again
Pinned the shit out of mine. Had it goon taped for a bit. Said screw it popped a hole in the main spring housing, sacrificed a small Allen wrench as my “pin” and boom. No slop or play in the grip safety in ‘pinned’ position. No need to worry about a poopy purchase on draw and just need to fiddlefuck the thumb safety
Will this thing fire just normal factory ammo ,hollow points etc or does it need crazy ammo like infinity stones or something? Not trying to be a smart ass just curious since ammo can be hard to find and hope it just eats anything you throw at it.
I'm in-between a man and a child according to Chris.I'm 5'10 and the c2 duo is perfect for me. I guess I sounded like a girl at least they tell me that. Who cares! lol I might buy the P for home defense because I live in a free state. great video guys!!!!!
What goes around comes around. I have been hearing for years that the 1911 platform was too high maintenance for general issue to law enforcement, hence the move to newer more modern platforms. Now here we are back with basically a high capacity 1911 and those concerns have vaporized as agencies and officers are purchasing this gun. Maybe, just maybe they never were valid concerns. They weren’t for me and many others who never left the 1911.
I doubt your seeing an agency purchase Staccatos. They’re on approved lists because no local government agency is going to drop $2k+ per firearm to have an overweight night shift slob drop crumbs and soda all over it sitting in his car all night. But they will sure as hell approve the night shift slob to buy it himself!!
I'm a 1911)2011 fan but issue to special teams and officers motivated enough to drop $3k of their own money on a gun and accoutrements doesn't mean 2011s would be good general issue LE guns.
You can get a Cheely grip module with no grip safety. It’s way better than staccato grip anyways. Extreme shooters might have grip safety delete as well but not sure on that one.
I just ordered mine, a Trijicon RMR 2, and Surefire 300X at a $4200 price tag 😅. I cut grass all summer for this gun. What is a nice premium holster. Thanks 🙏

I would think having a fiber optic front sight while using a red dot would be less advantageous than with a plain front sight, especially under bright sun and with a red light pipe. It would be like running two red dots simultaneously.
I think one of the things worth mentioning is how staccatos being such a bad ass firearm somehow some way does not send the red dot plates when purchasing a DPO/DUO versions any more. I found that it the hard way and in my opinion that makes no sense unless you're trying to nickle and some your customers
damn good point i didn't bring that up i'm sorry. I went with the Dawson plate to keep it all Dawson. They probably don't include them cause they know people are going to buy the plate they want and potentially just throw out the standard plate that were originally being sent with the gun? Not sayin thats the reason but that would make sense cause they save some coin that way? idk man just my 2 cents 👊🏼
@@Chrisblau true. I just think that's messed up from the customer service point of view that they don't even bother to mention it. I mean why the hell else would I be purchasing the DPO/DUO model if not to put the optic? Lol

Wow 800 round range days, big ballers over here.
Idk about that just a example of a hard day training
Seeing this review just makes me smile. I want a staccato for obvious reasons but my number 1 reason is because the name of my hometown is engraved on the bottom of the pic rail. I was born in Georgetown, Texas just like that gun in y'alls hands and I take immense pride in that.
Dope!
And why did you have to delete the C2 video?
What does DPO stand for? There is also a DUO model? I wish people would clarify these acronyms when reviewing. Thanks
55 seconds in and I'm hooked.
Great review as always 👏 would love to get your thoughts on the Luago Arms Alien Pistol plz and thanks.
I wish I could get my hands on one to shoot
"should not wear a medium sized shirt", *cries in size small* Y U DO DIS Chris
I really wish the Staccato could be used in more USPSA divisions...only reason I don't have one yet
Why can’t you it’s a stock gun? Sorry I’ve only done idpa and still dont know everything about it
@@randomactsofriding4850 in USPSA its a 'Limited' division gun. If you place and Optic on it, you're now using an "Open' gun. I believe you can shoot it in IDPA as Carry Optics.
@@SEALAX oh I see interesting thanks! I still
Need to try uspsa
Nice review & channel gentlemen. Subbed.
Love the content!
You guys are freaking hilarious 😂😂😂
Glad to see your surefire glass is as cooked as mine. I see videos of people with the p and they must take the light off prior to shooting cause theirs are clear.
It takes all of 5 seconds and those lights gets caked as shit
Range maintenance of the glass on surefire is key
just put some chapstick on the glass before a range session and after every range session wipe it off with tissue paper and a q tip. the chapstick will catch all the nasties on your glass. Works every time thank me later!
I’m just here for confirmation bias while waiting for my order to be completed lol
Absolutely love mine.
If you come across someone that calls an M3 a super car, you best be smacking the shit out of them.
Also, as always, great video. I never thought i would see Chris not carrying a glock
Yeah I never thought I’d see it either but now I don’t think I can ever go back to my Glocks I’m so spoiled with the staccato
Do you have a recommendation for the aluminum or steel frame?
If carrying it aluminum. If you’re not going to carry it steel
Where do you get the shirt on the left?!? Super dope shirt!!!
"You don't like it, fuck off!", love it! Lol
Would you guys prefer to carry a Staccato P Duo or a Glock MOS if you knew you were heading into a gun fight?
Staccato
I would love someone to do a comparison video with a staccato C2 duo vs like a couple of average carry guns like the CZ p10c the Glock 19 and maybe like a 320 if y’all ever decide to do that Video again
Damn thats a good idea dude not saying we will do that or we wont but thank you for the idea
"if you dont like it, fuck off"
"secondly, was that aggressive?"
"Oh yeah, but i like it"
best comments from the getgo :P
“What size shirt do you wear” wait, I thought I was watching a gun review… 🤣
So when do we see the year update?
“The Ginger Puma Ab Woorkout”…..coming soon!
Hey! Do you do real estate?
Pinned the shit out of mine. Had it goon taped for a bit. Said screw it popped a hole in the main spring housing, sacrificed a small Allen wrench as my “pin” and boom. No slop or play in the grip safety in ‘pinned’ position. No need to worry about a poopy purchase on draw and just need to fiddlefuck the thumb safety
What iwb holster you rocking??
Tenicore Certum3
What do you think of the threaded barrel version?
Do you prefer this over the bul Armory you reviewed recently?
I would rather have a staccato
wasnt there a version of the sti frame what was more customizable that you mentioned? sorry if this is the wrong vid to ask on
You can swap out the grip module on all of them
Will this thing fire just normal factory ammo ,hollow points etc or does it need crazy ammo like infinity stones or something? Not trying to be a smart ass just curious since ammo can be hard to find and hope it just eats anything you throw at it.
Regular ammo is fine
I'm in-between a man and a child according to Chris.I'm 5'10 and the c2 duo is perfect for me. I guess I sounded like a girl at least they tell me that. Who cares! lol I might buy the P for home defense because I live in a free state. great video guys!!!!!
So is there a design requirement that demands a grip safety on 1911s and 2011s?
No, you could get an Atlas. I don't believe they have a Grip Safety. They make a great gun but it's about $6.4k compared to the Staccato's $2.4k
I just rented one of these and loved it. what's the next level up from this if this is entry point? I don't know anything about 2011s
Honestly it climbs quick from there. Fowler Industries, Atlas Gunworks, Nighthawk, Alchemy
@@1911syndicate thanks. The quantico hicap interests me the most out of those
@@npr-ws9nq those “custom” makers, are fitted the same way as staccato. You are just paying for a name.
I think that's a great looking pistol and I wish that I could afford to buy one
Great video guys. Is there any version of this gun that does not have a grip safety? I hate those things.
I don’t think so
@@1911syndicate Thank u
You can get a Cheely grip module with no grip safety. It’s way better than staccato grip anyways. Extreme shooters might have grip safety delete as well but not sure on that one.
@@jvz1448 Thank you!!! I will look into that!
Just curious why he uses Certum instead of their Velo for AIWB?
Like the adjustable wing height on the Certum both are considered AIWB
Some people don't understand the concept of diminishing returns
I just ordered mine, a Trijicon RMR 2, and Surefire 300X at a $4200 price tag 😅. I cut grass all summer for this gun. What is a nice premium holster. Thanks 🙏
“Built like a child”
“Built like a man”
Jake jump on Chris’s shoulders
Become “Master Blaster”!!!!!
LOL you guys are the best!!!!
Loving the content guys!!!!
Man build
Jake has no idea what being built like a man is like 😂😂😂
Mac N' Cheese 4 life!
I had one, the C2 DPO, I did like it, but for a little bit more I LOVE my TRI-11. I say save a little bit more and go TRIARC.
What does the Tri-11 have that staccato doesnt? Deciding on my first 2011 and staccato has been the one that has stood out the most
I want one badly for work. Unfortunately, I'm to poor and we have to use the issued Glock 22....☹
Ugh. I’d rather not carry even for your job than carry a 22 😂😂
Hey, could you put the C2 review on Rumble?
I love my P for duty but I use my C2 for duty to. both work great.. PS neither one have any loose tolerances to them ..if yours does you might send it back
Is there any version of this gun that does not have a grip safety?
@@a.d.c7941 no, most people that don't like it will pin it or put rubber strap
@@treyscott9676 thank u man. I think im gonna stay clear of it because of that. I like the Atlas 2011’s better that price tag on them smh. Wow
Still want a Stacatto. One day...
What safariland model holster do you use
I would think having a fiber optic front sight while using a red dot would be less advantageous than with a plain front sight, especially under bright sun and with a red light pipe. It would be like running two red dots simultaneously.
Front sight FO is bright green, very distinguishable...
The SR 30 video is missing, too. Nice camo.
Have you had any malfunctions?
I can’t imagine a grip safety being a malfunction issue. Is this really a thing?
It is
I think one of the things worth mentioning is how staccatos being such a bad ass firearm somehow some way does not send the red dot plates when purchasing a DPO/DUO versions any more.
Lol
