    Hey guys, the sponsorship is only going to be an occasional thing (not even sure if I do it again). I went with it because I actually use Audible and also because I have the crippling fear that RUclips is going to shut down my channel and I'll starve to death. THANKS FOR WATCHING EVERYONE!

    Here's a couple more:
    The actor that played Jimmy Olsen, Michael Cassidy, also played Lex's brother on Smallville.
    Joe Morton, Silas Stone, also had a role on Smallville as Dr. Steven Hamilton.
    The movie theater at the beginning of the film has blurred Star Wars poster.
    The theater was playing Excalibur. Superman and Doomsday kill each other just like the ending of Excalibur.
    Wallace had Action Comics #1 on his wall.
    Perry White tells Clark this isn't 1938. Superman debuted in 1938.
    Perry White also calls Smallville which has been Clark's nickname in many series.
    In the Wayne Family Tomb, Alan Wayne has a tomb which is a reference to the Court of Owls.
    If you look at the painting at the end of movie, it looks like Darkseid's face. Also Angels are battling demons which is what the Justice League will be doing.
    Patrick Wilson (Nite Owl) was the voice of the President of the United States.
    Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Comedian) was Bruce's father.
    Carla Gugino (Silk Spectre) was the voice of the Kryptonian ship.
    Jonathan Kent's story is a reverse version of The Labors of Hercules story. Terri is a big fan of Greek mythology.
    When Bruce chases after Diana there is a serving cart with the Temple of Zeus on it.
    When people are going through security at the courthouse, the machines do the same sound as Christopher Reeves Superman's X-Ray vision.
    There was a reference to Gods that can throw lighting like Black Adam, Shazam and Zeus.
    In Injustice Gods Among Us, Superman rips out the Joker's heart out. In the nightmare sequence he rips out Batman's heart out.
    Jonathan Kent mentions the Lang family farm in the story. A reference to Lana Lang.
    One of the protesters outside the courthouse was dressed like classic Superboy.

      Conclusions:last time i read stupid reviews of haters who are thinking about overcomplicated stuffs for...no fucking reason expect being a "film critic".
      The most funny i saw:"the movie is confusing,there are too many stories with no sense" .
      What the hell?Are these people monkeys or something ?It was damn easy to understand there is almost no downtime so the movie is not letting you in the dark wondering what's happening.
      Anw,critics sucks,the movie should be seen without taking care of them because it won't fit anyone.

      @Scanny524 8 лет назад +11

      +Giovanni Alckmim Russo `THANK YOU. I'm so sick of people complaining about the killing. Honestly, this film had its severe flaws, but I always felt like the "no kill" rule had no place in a live action movie universe attempting to remain somewhat grounded in reality. I mean, take the car chase in the movie for the Kryptonite. How was Batman gonna do that without killing a few people?
      I don't mind it in the comics, where realism is turned away at the door, but the movies can't do that without seeming childish and silly.

      +Scanny524 so why is joker alive, if batman kills people without remorse whats the point of arkham?

    • @Scanny524
      @Scanny524 8 лет назад +3

      Alan Lozano There's a difference between killing people because you have a mission and they're getting in the way, leaving you with no other option, and killing someone you CAN imprison just to stop them committing future crimes. Just because Batman does column A doesn't mean he does column B, which is much more akin to murder.
      If Batman can imprison a criminal, he still will, even if he is open to killing in certain scenarios.

  • @ThePsychoticBee

    I don't think anyone's noticed that as Bruce is running toward the collapsed buildings and the dust clears, a horse appears seemingly from nowhere. Presumably from a mounted policeman, but I immediately assumed it was an easter egg from the dark night returns' scene where the power is out in most of Gotham and batman is riding a horse instead of the bat mobile, bad ass. Good vid bro!

  • @StanWilks

    James, there's a reference to a comic called "The Case of the People vs Superman" when he is being trialled.
    That comic was centred around the story of a young girl who accuses Superman of killing his mother, but it turns out he actually didn't. In this movie, he is accused of killing that terrorist at the beginning when he is threatening Lois Lane, but as you know he actuaslly killed him.

    • @timoyr2954
      @timoyr2954 8 лет назад

      He didn't kill him and that's not what the trial was about. It was about those people who KGBeast and his team killed, whose army in turn took vengeange on a nearby village.
      Superman says "I didn't kill those men" implying that he also didn't kill that guy he tackled.

  • @lukepearlberg6237
    @lukepearlberg6237 8 лет назад +1

    This movie was awesome! I didn't think it had pacing issues at all it's just telling a lot of stories. The story was solid, and all of the characters felt like their comic counterparts(with the exception of Lex). Lex never felt like he wasn't Lex, he was a different interpretation, but not a bad one. He had the core elements of the character there. A solid 9.5/10

    This film is getting unfair criticism from people who were ready to hate it the moment it was announced. It's a very flawed film but it doesn't deserve the reviews it's getting. I'd rather watch 2 and half hours of a film that tries to do something new but fails in some areas, than a paint by numbers film like TFA that does absolutely nothing new, and just rehashes what was done previously.

      it gave him some character development and some much needed layers to bruce. bruce is mentally unstable and jaded from all the losses over the years, and the robin suit could signify his breaking point. the batman we see in the film doesn't go out of his way to kill anyone, but he doesn't go out of his way to prevent their deaths either-- he has a mission to do and he will get it done by any means. if he is attacked by lethal force, he will return the gesture because in his eyes that person just demonstrated their potential to harm others and, thus, their safety becomes void to him. I know this is a huge deviation from the classic batman ideologies, but by the end of the movie he gives a little speech to diana (wonder woman) about how they can become better now (paraphrasing) and demonstrates this with lex in his jail cell when he decides not to brand him. So in the end he has returned to the status quo of not killing. if in the next movie he is still killing then i will 100% agree there is an issue, but for now i think it works well in this ONE film.

      +Justin McNeil this is all well and good until you think why didn't he kill the Joker yet who we can already tell absolutely deserves to die. and people say he doesn't go out of his way to kill people but there are a few scenes where this is just not true.

      i get what you're saying, but we don't know yet what the deal with that is and i'm sure it will be address in future movies. maybe suicide squad takes place in the past. who knows man. i'm only addressing what happens within this one movie, since thats all we have. the rest is speculation.

    Actually, the Solomon on the tombstone is referring to Solomon Wayne. Bruce Wayne great-great-great grandfather who was a judge and promoter of the Old Gotham style of architecture. Solomon was one of the men responsible for the beginnings of Gotham City. Solomon also has a courthouse named after him in Batman: Arkham City. Where you have to Catwoman from Two-Face.

      The movie was not that bad. Plot? It's a movie to kick off the Justice League. IT'S just a movie where Superman and Batman finally find their place in the world. Is it that hard to understand. Coming from a comic book reader point of view. Not a critic. This movie serves as a kick off to start the whole DCEU.

      Explain me what was the plan of Lex Luthor about? Why did he wants to kill superman? And why kill batman on the process? How he knows superman secret identity and he's mother? Along with so many plots holes and scenes jumping fast from character to character without any connection, this movie has a lot of issues.

    • @StuffUser101
      @StuffUser101 8 лет назад

      +Hasan Ates My main complaint about the movie is the plot holes, unexplained Batman moral code and the fact that they used Superman's death so fucking early. Plus the trailer spoiled most of it. Oh and the cameos for the other characters were laughable in the way that they were delivered.

    Established first that I am a dc fan so I can negate the comeback that I am a marvel fanboy... check.
    Proceed to spread the hatred for the movie.... begin.
    I hate the movie, everything in it, the story boards reminds me of reading a super hero comic book, panels after panels in different plots. The seats in the imax theater is unconfortable too, I hate the color of the girl that gave me the tickets... its god damn blue... it should be effing black. The screen seems too bright and the volume is too loud. The glassess is too small and they are in different colors... wtf? We should have rights to lower the volume when we wanted. I am entitled and what I want should be given to me. Fuck Snyder for not explaining everything to me in an organize manner. When 1 is followed by 3 then 5... I got lost when number 2 shows up... It will also be great if the batmobile has blings, dollar signs hobcaps and a neon light underneath.
    Dont get me wrong, I am a huge dc fan.
    Insist again that you are a dc fan and you read alot of comics... check
    Marvel is still the best because they are full of jokes and colorful and witty one liners deserves an oscar.
    End the post to promote Marvel... check.

    the line 'do you bleed? you will' is a reference to 1998's 'Gotham Adventures' series, in issue 61 (which didn't go to print and saw the end of that particular run) Bruce Wayne says it to Vicki Vale just before 'gently' 'exploring' 'main street' with his extendible 'bat pole'.

    I have an observation I like to make: In the nightmare sequence when Superman has got a hold of Batman his fist pierces through Batman's torso like in Injustice where Superman's fist pierces through the Joker's torso. Even the reason why Superman did this is similar, involving Louise Lane's death. I did it. Found one thing that Sunday Movies' hawk like eyes missed.

    Here's one I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else: Excalibur, the John Boorman movie, can be seen written on the front of the movie theater when Thomas and Martha Wayne are killed, thus locating the scene in 1981 [we see this confirmed as Martha's year of death later on]. At the end of Excalibur, Arthur drags himself along the spear of Mordred, i.e. with it going through him, in order to get close enough to deliver the killing blow to his adversary... Which is exactly what Supes does [kind of!] vs Doomsday! You're welcome.
