A couple slight improvements to this strategy: 1. Equip Auto-Protect Auto-Potion Auto-Phoenix with Wakka/Tidus 2. Bribe Valaha for X-Potions so you heal for 9999 on each hydraulic press 3. Use Blitz Ace instead of Slice and Dice for more damage regardless of if you hit the perfect overdrive You can cut down on time but not having to heal between rounds, just every third round kill the dingo 👊
Idk. Slice and dice is still the better overdrive, imo. It's consistently a 480-500k damage overdrive, whereas blitz ace only does more damage if that last hit is successful.
The fastest way that I found was have Tidus, Wakka and another character (doesn’t matter who) have 255 in attack, defence and magic defence and victor overdrive mode. For Luck spheres just use Tidus Slice and Dice overdrive and Wakka’s Attack Reels. For fortune spheres use Tidus Slice and Dice first to knock the enemy over, then use Wakka’s Attack Reels, then Entrust with the other character to Wakka and use Attack Reels again. Then just fight a easy enemy before each fight to come in with full overdrives. For armor have auto-haste and auto-protect. 😊
You can bribe for Attribute Spheres to level up Luck too as opposed to farming Fortune Spheres. It’s faster overall than farming Fortune Spheres of course more expensive though.
Ooooh thats interesting! Never considered using Attribute spheres before. But is it really much quicker? You kinda need to spend 400k to get 2 of them so I imagine youre gonna need a lot of gil, and itll probably take a lot of time to get that amount of gil.
@@UG_Commentary Not sure if quicker or not, but gives a bit of variety to the grind. Earth eater sucks. Though a tip for when luck gets high on the other 2 characters and killing them becomes annoying, they can simply escape from the battle to leave Wakka on his own.
@@nekogod earth eater only takes about 4 minutes to beat, just have auto phoenix and spam normal attacks and let him kill you over and over you'll be revived everytime anyways
Loner wakka is the fastest for earth Eater. Additionally the same strategy is actually quicker with greater sphere. Also Earth Eater takes 2 attack Reels and 3 max damage hits. Get the max damage hits at the beginning while trying to run away with the other characters then spam attack Reels about 2 minutes from start all the way to starting the following fight. That's also going normal to even slow speed.
Well, technically, the Maelspike bribe is the fastest for the luck activation. joke aside, yes. Earth eater gets digested really fast with Loner Wakka.
@@RKOIndonesia No google? :D 100k. HP x 10 is usually the best money to value. If it fails just keep bribing with 1 gil as the game tracks all your bribed money. Make sure to not have any counter weapons equipped.
I honestly don't see the point of leveling up luck for the 7 characters. I just choose the three characters who will fight the Dark Aeons, Nemesis and Penance, and level up their luck to around 130. That is around 90 fortune spheres only. Now, for the trophy, after the super bosses are defeated, I clear all the luck nodes and replace them with mag defense or whatever, and fill those nodes with the 7 characters in a blink.
There is no point really, apart from needing the necessary stats for beating the optional bosses. But yeah, after your done with that, you can fill up the sphere grid however you want
what the hell. I played through this game twice and I don't think I ever knew entrust existed. I could be misremembering as it was like 20 years ago, but still.
I have yet to find any instance as to what two monsters i need to u lock to get the greater sphere. Is it any? Cus i unlocked two and i still dont have him🤷🏾♀️
Fastest method for Earth Eater. 1. Make sure your strength is maxed. 2. Put Wakka in ''Loner'' Overdrive mode. 3. Attack twice and knock him over. 4. Escape with the other characters. 5. Defend until your Overdrive fills up (Heal if necessary) 6. Perform two Attack Reels (Follow up with a normal attack if that doesn't finish him off) 7. Rinse and repeat.
There's a flaw to your Earth Eater Strategy. As someone who has a 255 MAX TIDUS & YUNA... You don't need to ATTACK YOUR PARTY TO DO THE LONER STRAT. You simply make the party members YOU DON'T WANT in the fight RUN AWAY! Don't use the skill FLEE... Make them both run away individually. Saves way more time. I farm Earth Eater with TIDUS.
The interesting! Though i dont like the escape strat cuz theres a 25% chance theyd stumble and the escape would fail wasting more time. If you do the strat with tidus, how long does it take to complete each fight?
@@UG_Commentary I don't really count but it's not long at all. It's easier to make the party you doing want just run away. I have Max luck on TIDUS & Yuna.
@@KaoMinerva I was asking for the time cuz the point of the video was to find the fastest possible method to killing earth eater. I used this to max out all my the characters’ luck stat and when you do have weaker characters, it is much faster to just kill them than to get delays from escaping failing. But i do get that escaping is probably your best bet when most of your characters are maxed out with luck (i know this from experience) If you could time your Tidus strat id love to compare it to the times i get with Wakka. @@UG_Commentary I just timed it from selecting "fight monsters" to selecting Earth Eater as fast as possible. It was a perfect one try having Yuna & Wakka escape. @@KaoMinerva Thanks for the clarification! Sorry for asking you to do that. I research quite a bit when I make these videos, and I just want to make sure what I say is accurate. I understand where you're coming from with the escape strat, but I think its still consistently faster by just killing them especially when you have multiple low level characters. Though when everyone has high luck, that's when escaping is the way to go.
@Hugh Jass Actually, my answer was in the video. Apparently, Earth Eater takes half damage on overdrives, that is why I couldn't do 99,999. Too bad we cannot do critical attacks during overdrive.
In my expert opinion, it makes weapon go “SCHWING!!” after hits. But in all seriousness, i dont know the exact way it works, but what I do know is that it affects the critical hit rate, as well as works like an Evasion and an Accuracy stat rolled into one. Meaning the higher the luck, youll be dealing critical hits more frequently and youll be able to both land hits on enemies and avoid their hits more frequently too.
The only complaint I have with this video i have is, you spent more time saying that it takes too long to obtain the "loner" overdrive mode than it would have taken to say "Have Wakka take 110 turns in combat alone." If youre doing this to try to get people to view other videos, dont.
Thanks for the feedback! Fair point. Mostly lazy writing on my part. Idk I just envisioned having to show some optimal strategy to acquiring loner I guess? For whatever reason, I didn't wanna do that in this video so I kinda just threw that line in there unwittingly.
