In 2002, my high school senior year, a friend let me borrow FFX. I loved it. I believe I got very close to the final boss, but it was very close to the end of the school year and I had to return the game, so I never beat the game.. 22 years later I'm playing the game again in an attempt to complete the story and every step of the way has been a blast. I just reached Remien temple. Anyways, I don't know if i have it in me to acquire all celestial weapons and the game doesn't tell you any of this. If i do attempt to go for it, I'm glad I found this video.

Did Remiem and 4 chests too, which is something most walkthroughs ignore (there's a different shortcut if you don't go towards 5th chest).

I was able to easily do the 200 dodges in the ps2 several times. when the hd version came out. I couldn't even get past 20. after 3 days of trying I looked up that the frame rate was bugged making it impossible without doing the crater trick.

I will never buy another FF game. I’ve only ever played this one, and it is the most frustrating thing EVER, that I can’t skip through cutscenes. Wouldn’t touch any other FF game, or ANY GAME made by that developer.

If you screw up and miss a destruction sphere just go get Auron's celestial weapon for the first strike, get swap in Yuna and get Yojimbo to Zanmato the dark aeon blocking your path.

The butterflies ain't in a fixed position for the first area that the bird guy isn't at, I swear the ones on the top floor are moving up & down, everytime I try a left route or a right route they still catch me on the top floor.

When mentioning how to unlock One Eye, he forgot about Floating Death in the Omega Ruins. You need 4 of him as well.

I lost count for a moment. So I did another 10 bolts. 210 bolts I dodged. First real attempt I got hit at the 94th bolts. After that I tried a few more times messing up my timing. Eventually made it though. Onion knight, Nirvana and caladbog are probably the hardest to get

I got 18 balloons but I got hit by 8 GD birds, four spawned on me in the corner where it wraps around to the final stretch, got hit on the wrap-around to the final strech where it spawned in behind me, then I got caught on 3 that spawned in on me right in front of the finish line 😤 A few games later I got great RNG and nabbed 15 ballons w/o getting hit by a single bird, so fucking DONE with this BS.

@23:13 where it spawns 3 birds on you this shit keeps happening to me with 4 or 5 and it's infuriating. Having to run the whole race when you can't win is BS. There should never be a racing game that doesn't give you the option to abandon the current race and retry.

Playing this game right now. I got 184 lighting dodges, and on my 185th dodge the X button didn't input. I got so annoyed, vexed, irritated after failing. I thought i did it wrong so i tried it again at the same spot and the button inputted, so doing it is just two much trouble and annoyance. Fantastic video btw!

From worst to easiest I'd say: Butterflies [haven't finished it after endless tries will do in Remake] Blitzball [Spent 5 days with four 4 hour sessions and one 9 and 1/2 hour session.. yes..] Chocobo Race [just don't use analog sticks] Lightning Dodging [first tried this. Pause and take a break after 100 dodges to calm down then continue]

I thought it was the water-filled crater in front of the lightning rod. I was able to get struck consistently there as well

The least, and I mean the very fucking LEAST they could've done when remastering this part is add a retry option. I remember most of the frustration went boiling during the part when you have to sit out the rest of the race when you know full and well it's already lost. It's just adding salt to the wound giving you a quad bird at the end for shits and giggles.

Dude, thanks to you I was able to aquire the Venus Sigil once again 🙏🏾 Almost a decade ago, I knew of that same exact crater. I had No Encounter on a weapon and the TV was on mute, but because I didn't know about the running in between the crater and the tower it took me about 30 minutes of sitting in the crater while the lightning struck twice back-to-back every 5 to 7 seconds Your method was much more accurate and quicker than what I did back then. I truly appreciate your video 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The chocobo training is what keeps me from coming back and grinding this game. I don't have the patience for all the rng.

Another tip is to hold down the joystick towards the crater until you hit the X button to dodge. If you're trying to anticipate when to stop moving you are adding more complexity and have a much higher chance of stopping too early, pressing X too early and getting hit as a result.

This helped so much. I always avoided this but on my third attempt got to 54 dodges. I’m sure I may get it real soon. Thanks!!
