Bought one of these to locate a break in my homes water main, there was 36' of not knowing exactly where the line was buried. As a first time user, I was able to locate the exact location where my line was compromised with a leak. There were absolutely no signs on the surface that the leak was below the location identified...I had reservations at first, but as I dug down to the line all reservations disappeared. I spent about 20 minutes from assembling the unit to pinpointing the exact location of the leak. This is a must have for anyone who does this work on a professional level.
