Something about Clark talking about being a regular guy despite being SUPERMAN in the DP interview really hit me. I’m really not ready to say goodbye to this show.
I started crying when he said that. This episode really unexpectedly hit me like a ton of bricks. This show (despite the very occasional CW-ness) is so well done.
Honestly, when they had his sister do the interview, I thought Jimmy was dead. It feels a bit rushed that they just hang out happily at the end, but it was cute.
@@theadamabrams Doesn't really feel rushed to me, it makes perfect sense for Jimmy the be the final scene of the episode, it's what it was building up to. I think assuming Jimmy is dead for no reason whatsoever is much more illogical.

@@TheMarine316 Thinking back, I know they displayed super speed in Lois & Clark, but they may not have done a bullet time scene. They may not have had the budget for the special effects. I remember one scene where Superman picks up a gun and fires it at Lex, only to intercept it just before it hits. But they didn't do a slow-mo, just cut to his hand in front of Lex's chest, Superman holding the bullet.
I love how this whole season has been about Clark hiding his secret and the consequences of it. And they keep showing the slow motion shots of Clark taking his glasses off before revealing himself as Superman because not only is that his disguise, but but as foreshadowing for the ending of this episode. The glasses represent him being Superman is a secret, and him taking them off again and again show he's going to take them off permanently at some point - that he's going to let the world know that Clark Kent is Superman. This episode highlights why Tyler is my favorite Superman/clark Kent, I’ve never liked stories that reveal the hero’s identity but they handled this so perfectly & with such emotion that’s it’s one of my favorite scenes ever, why are all the best scenes in that Diner 😂
Does everyone in that diner think that Superman has Super Costume Changing powers now? It was so fast that from an outside perspective he just instantly had a costume on.
I think the point is that most people in smallville had an inkling, or heard a rumor, or could put the pieces together. The secret was getting out, That’s why the choice to show the teammate knowing, the choice was for the boys to always have to find excuses or do a reveal.

Watch the scene in 4X2 again. There were more than 3 people. Yes, you are right; you can’t see Coach Gaines in any shot but there are groups of people coming out of hiding in shadows. It’s completely believable Coach Gaines had been among them.
Im ngl im one of the ppl that sleeps on this show and i regret it that was a damn good episode this whole season has been great. I wish they'll pick it up for at least 1 more season
I was screaming and pausing the video on my first watch. This episode is intense. I thought about how they gonna execute the reveal, and boy, they made it better than my imagination.
To me, Emmitt's motivation was to be proven right that the town nerd shouldn't have been able to stand up to him. Plus, there probably was a bit of xenophobia thrown in with the whole "making regular people like me feel small"
This show is incredible and no one talks about it. Barely anyone reacts to it and these same reactors will react to garbage. This tyler dude is almost on Reeve's level and DESTROYS cavill on a fucking cheap CW show. The part where the bullet is flying to him, and he looks at lois with like a defeated look, and takes off his glasses to rip his shirt off is one of my all time fav tv/movie scenes. His eyes/face looking at her was incredible acting without saying a word. It's a travesty this show is getting cancelled, the showrunners said they had planned for 7 seasons and now they compressed the next three seasons into this one. Pretty sure his reveal was supposed to be for that seventh season.
It’s dizzying how good this episode was. I know Smallville is the best tv show Superman for a lot of people but this show is it for me. This Superman is the best Superman I have ever had the privilege of watching.
The girl calling him Mr Kent at the end reminded me of Cash in Arkham Knight its revealed Batman is Bruce and he says I'll stick to Batman if its all the same to you.
What if clark still held on to his secret was an ode to also keeping his parents' memory alive. Because lois said they would show disapproval of his actions and fear of government interference of his care. Trauma or behavior that he unintentionally inflicted on his kids too.
We’ve known for 2 seasons that it’s not arrowverse so it shouldn’t be an issue that jimmy is different also his sister janet has been in the show since season 1 so he’s always been white and had a different sister to the Supergirl version
@@supergeek7134 I think it's an Arrowverse show. It was a spin off from the Arrowverse show Supergirl, which was set on a parallel Earth itself for half of its run. The Flash featured parallel Earths frequently and no one said they weren't Arrowverse worlds.

Been waiting on this lol, great superman episode. This is Superman and his growth as a man. Im even more hype for the movie when that finally comes out.
This episode was something really special. I'm just gonna say it - this is my favourite on-screen Superman thing ever. I'm so grateful for this amazing show.
Really focusing on Clarks life with hiding his secret his whole life and thus loosing out on so much, absolutely amazing :') Now i do wonder how this season and series will end...even though i dont want it too end it is good that they end on their own terms. This show has been so good at handling Superman and a different aspect of the character (family life)
This show is literally the only thing I watch now on the CW. It will be interesting to see what direction in programming the new ownership decides to go.
Great episode, I think there was a deeper part of the secret they didn't address. The secret is not only for Clark but it protected the people around him. People always tried to hurt anyone that protected his secret or knew him and put them in danger. That doesn't change now, only that everybody knows..... The second I submitted, you guys addressed it. I think the show should have addressed that.
There's nothing to address though, he's never exposed his secret and therefore never had to deal with the people who know it being targeted. Furthermore, Luthor already knows the secret, so they don't have anything more to fear on the foe end of it being exposed.
18:08 This type of moment ended very differently in the Irredeemable comic book series. It's another superhero story where a Superman-esque character snaps from trying to keep everyone safe and keep his secrets at the same time.
Never seen the show, but that bulletime made me believe he was Superman by his concern and sadness over what just happened. Disappointed is a great word for it.
I kind of understand Eric's frustration with this show being disconnected from the Arrowverse, but I'm also equally frustrated that it continues to be a topic of discussion every season. I personally disliked the Arrowverse, but Superman & Lois is one of my favorite superhero shows of all-time, and is easily my favorite Superman. I don't know if I would've given this show a chance if it had heavy ties to the AV. And if it was in the AV, I already know there'd be COUNTLESS things this show wouldn't have been able to do. Can't believe there are only 3 episodes left. Excited for the next 3 weeks.
In the 90s, the first time I came across Killer Instinct was at the mall arcade. I walked in and saw everyone huddled around the game. I walked up and was amazed at the graphics and I was thrown off when I saw a Nintendo logo on the side of machine which shocked the heck out of me. I was like damn Nintendo is stepping their game up. 😂
Reeeeeaallllly wish this show got the love it deserved; one of the few quality things DC made before the Gunn era starts. He really is a great fucking Superman
To be fair when the show started it was meant to be in the main universe. Diggle even mentioned Oliver and "them all". There was even supposed to be a crossover with Batowman, but that didn't happen because of COVID-19. To be honest I am glad they decide to make it their own thing. It gives them a lot more creative freedom. They don't have to worry about whatever Supergirl (a much worse show by comparison) is doing.
If it helps at all Eric, in the comics, when Crisis is resolved and a new earth is created, sort of merging elements of the other universes, while also making new things, the Jimmy situation could be explained as an outcome of Jimmy himself changing, like Clark having twin boys. We never did see Jimmy after Crisis, so he just could've been changed in the reality as a whole.
This isnt the same universe as Supergirl's Earth 38 or Earth Prime. They were gonna make it be Prime but in season 2 they distanced themselves when General Lane said this world only has Superman.

BRAVO!! 👏👏
Shame people never knew how freaking good this show is! One of the best Superman’s period
Brilliant episode and exploration of Superman and Clark as a character. This show is so great.
Such an awesome scene!!! Coolest reveal ever!
Best live adaptation for Superman in my opinion
god i love this show so much. i'm not ready for it to end.
no matter how many reactions i watch i cry so much
It’s dizzying how good this episode was.
The little optimistic smirk from Lois after he reveals himself is so Lois. She’s like, “At least you don’t have to lie anymore.”
What if clark still held on to his secret was an ode to also keeping his parents' memory alive. Because lois said they would show disapproval of his actions and fear of government interference of his care. Trauma or behavior that he unintentionally inflicted on his kids too.
I like how they finally included Jimmy Olsen. So good
I loved how when Superman looked at Lois she had already pre planned to be looking at him, so her face could be there to reassure him. It is so epic.
they have effectively done the death of superman and the death of clark kent in the same season
I keep forgetting in a small town, Kyle does some kind of authority with being the chief.
This Clark does have a Jimmy 😌
deadpool has ruined the line "come again?' cuz now i say in my head "this time in my ear"
Intimate episodes like this one is making me miss the show already.
We’ve known for 2 seasons that it’s not arrowverse so it shouldn’t be an issue that jimmy is different also his sister janet has been in the show since season 1 so he’s always been white and had a different sister to the Supergirl version
But it has the same Clark, Lois, Diggle etc. So it is inconsistent.
@@flaggerify some people look the same in other universes and some don't it been like that in live action since the multiverse was introduced
@@supergeek7134 I think it's an Arrowverse show. It was a spin off from the Arrowverse show Supergirl, which was set on a parallel Earth itself for half of its run. The Flash featured parallel Earths frequently and no one said they weren't Arrowverse worlds.
@@flaggerifyin the flash earth 90 barry looked like barrys dad, oliver queen was the same in every universe apart from smallville, superman from steels original universe was tyler, variants can look the same, jimmys sister has been there since season 1 so we knew he was white with no mention of the sister from supergirl, the world never mentioned supergirl, for everything that said it’s the same earth there’s another thing that says no it’s not
Been waiting on this lol, great superman episode. This is Superman and his growth as a man. Im even more hype for the movie when that finally comes out.
This episode was something really special. I'm just gonna say it - this is my favourite on-screen Superman thing ever. I'm so grateful for this amazing show.
This show is so damn good. Tyler really is the best Clark Kent/Superman.
Really focusing on Clarks life with hiding his secret his whole life and thus loosing out on so much, absolutely amazing :')
Now i do wonder how this season and series will end...even though i dont want it too end it is good that they end on their own terms. This show has been so good at handling Superman and a different aspect of the character (family life)
This show is literally the only thing I watch now on the CW. It will be interesting to see what direction in programming the new ownership decides to go.
Reality tv only. So good luck with that!
It was one of my favorite episodes
This whole episode was so good. And I like to take a moment every so often to remember that Tyler is also sephiroth.
Furthermore, Luthor already knows the secret, so they don't have anything more to fear on the foe end of it being exposed.
its such a shame they are ending this series after only 4 seasons. They all deserved much more and this final season has been amazing so far
love how crazy it is, even when clark isn't slouching as superman, Jimmy is still taller than him
18:08 This type of moment ended very differently in the Irredeemable comic book series. It's another superhero story where a Superman-esque character snaps from trying to keep everyone safe and keep his secrets at the same time.
Never seen the show, but that bulletime made me believe he was Superman by his concern and sadness over what just happened. Disappointed is a great word for it.
Why is it that this show pulls at my heart in such an organic way it's literally so good even in clip/reaction form I'm so sad this show is ending
This season of Superman and Lois is up there with the greatest ever Superman on TV or film, M.O.S.
Man. Im not ready for this show to end. 😢
This scene mirrors Bizarro Superman's world in season 2 where bizarro is a celebrity and the entire people know his identity.
You caught the saves Jimmy referred to were the ones from Superman, the movie? Was that cat Clatk named the same as the cat in the tree?
This episode was one of the best the show has ever done. Absolutely incredible. I’m devastated that it’s ending💔
I love this show!!!!!!!!! this was needed. I love clark so much. He is my favorite hero since I was little girl. This was so good.
Reeeeeaallllly wish this show got the love it deserved; one of the few quality things DC made before the Gunn era starts. He really is a great fucking Superman
Denise looked at him like you gonna go, save them 🤣🤣🤣
The guy who says Clear after the interview was Jimmy Olsen in Batman v Superman.
I love this show so much is gonna hurt a ton to let it go.
They have stated that Superman and Lois is on a different earth, separate from the Arrowverse entirely. Same with Stargirl.
