Aw, that part of "When James plays *gear fails*" it's so special to me, since I was there.
James got SO pissed at the sound troubles Rock in Rio was having that I was gifted with James playing an very angry (and incredible to watch) perfomance of Sad But True right in front of me... one of my best concert memories.
It's about time Kirk got some love! People forget he plays the same stuff as James 95% of the time. And whenever you see James doing frontman stuff with his arms, guess who is holding the rhythm guitars together?

They are both good, James is a legend at making bone shaking riffs and lyrics, and Kirk could shred the guitar confidentiality with the weight of the world in his shoulders
Just the fact, James played all the rhythm guitars on the most important albums in Metal (Ride, Master & Justice) is proof enough this video is a joke.
For all the "Mustaine is better" comments: Dave said that James is one of the 3 best rhythm guitar players in the world - next to Malcolm Young and himself.

James can solo, he just can't mindlessly and effortlessly shred like kirk. All of the james solos are instantly recognizable for the slower and more emotive character.
He says he isnt gonna solo because he pretty much do melodic solos (btw the best Magnetic solo is him playing)

People, even you my friend, tend to forget that Kirk is as good of a rhythm player as James. Of course not as good in writing, but rhythm playing is equally developed in the both of them.

His first wah wah time was on No Remorse on Kill Em All if i remember correctly, so yes, he´s been using it since h started with the band. Been fair today he dos over use the wah, his Wah on the Black Album was fantastic, but today you can see him using three wah´s at the same time wich is insane and not in the best way.

Kirk hasn't played a solo properly since the 90's. He's my least favorite member
U did lars was a beast back in the 80's and early 90's. Not to mention he was an integral part of writing the music and was the reason they got famous. There would be no metallica without lars. All kirk did was play, sucky, at that.

Alex Gunner I guess you mean blind by 'deaf' btw... criticizing someone who has been making music for almost 4 decades...I also love Lars but Kirk solos has always been an amazing part of Metallica songs...he still plays them well... sometimes sloppy though but he still improvises quite well and few of his new solos are good...no offence to you buddy.
