Since my 42 years old reliable Aries It’s a bit to small to handle 12 inc or more of snow on a 200 feet driveway , yesterday I scored a 2010 X 27 with the Briggs & Stratton engine in excellent shape from an old man for $300 , let’s put it to work today after the storm .

Thanks for video. That heavy snow and low contrast, white on white ,oh boy !
In your opinion, could you tell us which machine moves the snow that fastest ?
I have a suspicion, that machines that throw snow the furthest may not always be the fastest.
Also along the same line of thought, the impeller size of each machine in relation to speed and throw,
    thanks.

The Ariens Deluxe 27 (921012) is a great machine.. They were built just before Ariens switched from Briggs & Stratton engines to their own branded Chines AX engines. Mine is a 2010 model. The B&S 250cc engine is a beast! Starts first pull every time. I've never had to use the electric start.
The only drawback on the 921012 is that trigger wheel lock. It is finicky, requires some maintenance (adjusting).

I just bought a never used 27 inch w the Briggs and Stratton engine. What is the lever below handle bar left handed side?

I think you got that reversed, both Ariens and Husqvarna use the same engine manufacturer, LCT (Liquid Combustion Technology LLC) is based out of South Carolina, they do have manufacturing in Shanghai and Australia but design is done in the USA, all facilities are owned by them. Briggs & Stratton has a similar model, facilities are owned and managed by them. That’s quite different than Toro and others, they have their own engine but it’s built by Loncin, in both cases though the quality of the engines are very good. Loncin is so good that they’ve had a deal with BMW for close to 20 years for bike engines.

@@SCraig-Handsome Right... The Ariens engines used now are Ariens branded LCT engines.. The deluxe 27 in this video has a B&S 250cc snow engine... Which Ariens doesn't use anymore.. The professional models were still using B&S until a couple years ago, now they use LCT across their entire line of snowblowers.

Honestly both. I feel both are great machines. The Ariens is lighter in weight which could be a benefit for some. The Husqvarna with that extra weight pushes through something a bit more. But I'd buy either for my everyday use.
