@@Lost1st as long as you use the proper spray tip for each job and type of paint I havent had to back roll anything. Will this show streak lines after it dries? I am having that problem with a 9 inch and 18 inch roller! I have done back rolling and only go off the wet edge but it still keeps showing roller marks. At the same time its newer drywall and the person who installed used wrong mud technique and sanded wrong. I used primer and it showed no streaks at all!
U get better and faster at prep as you go. What use to take u 3-4 hours will take u an hour in time. Well worth it for the finish and back pain you are going to save yourself
Yes it quicker spraying but it definitely way longer then when you add in the covering the floors and masking&taping the part that actually makes the difference in paint process 😉
Masking does suck but if you do it a lot you get pretty fast at it I masked off a room in about an hour and sprayed the entire room in 30 minutes I suck at cutting in as it drives my patience in especially under window trim
I love spraying... been spraying houses for 22years, baseboards and ceilings and exteriors... walls on the other hand I always prefer to cut and roll. It ends up being way faster if you're already a good painter. If not, you're gonna be slow either way.
I don’t mind the prep but my X5 makes a huge mess. Even at low pressure half the paint goes on the wall and the other half just stays in the air in the air and lands on the walls and floor as a sticky dust. I haven’t figured out how to spray a room without a cloud of paint lingering in the room.

@philc8575 good to know I just sprayed a rental. Walls look great. Ceiling has a bit of lines and it drives me crazy but I couldn't roll it. It was like fiberboard with 1½" slats covering the seams
Pretty sure that isn’t a paint respirator mask. (The paper ones are generally gray and look heavier.) Atomized water-based products are bad, maybe worse, for your lungs than oil based.

You took longer putting all that plastic and tape just to spray a couple walls I would’ve brushed and rolled, would’ve left a nice cut in, better texture than a fine finished… Even if sprayed the I still would’ve back rolled those walls as I went along Rookies…..
How much time did it take you to move furniture and prep. 2 days
Well same it would take any other way to paint.

Time to spray 6 minutes. Time to prep crown, floors, baseboards, doors and casings; 3 hours.

3 hours? Hahah. No
3 hrs ? Lol
Still faster than rolling and cutting
how do you prep the ceiling?

The cost too for the tape and plastic sheets and paper on the floor etc
A professional would be covering the floors like that no matter if they are spraying or rolling and brushing.
Can you do this kind of spraying (heavy wide spray patterns) with an HVLP like the Fuji Q5?
For someone remodeling this would save a lot of time since the room is already empty and floors aren’t installed yet.
what is the difference between X5 and A30 ?

Does the sprayer come with a clock?
Note add prep time for the overall time and its comes out to be the same amount of time just difference in finish

How long did it take to tape everything off??
You forgot to include the prep time
Where is the overspray? No mask??
😂 get some shields and helper and cut 2/3 prep

1. It’s Fun
2. More even coverage
3. No brush / roller marks
