I was at the worlds fair in 64. I was 4 yrs old. My parents and grandparents took me. Grew up in Manhattan till I was 14 and I have never been in Empire State Building! By the way your hair looked great in this video!

I grew up in NYC. I was 5 yrs old when the NYS fair was there. I remember going there with my family. Now I live in Upstate New York about 1/2 hr from Syracuse where the yearly state fair is held. You brought back so memories for my childhood during your trip to New York City. Thanks for the memories😍
That area where they held the 1964 Worlds Fair! I didn’t know anything about that until I moved to NYC in 2012 and was exploring with new friends and they took me to that park in Queens! I haven’t been back since but watching this brought back all the memories

Really enjoyed hearing Larry talk about the sights you were seeing! !My husband is 14 years older than me (I know, we're amateurs compared to you guys😂), but one of my FAVORITE things about being in a relationship with an older man is all the things he knows! He has had so many life experiences that happened "before my time" as he calls it, and he has introduced me to so many new things. Classic rock, some really funny vintage TV sitcoms, and even favorite recipes since he's been cooking a decade longer than me! I really wish more girls wouldn't rule out dating a man who is older. There are so many really cool benefits. And it goes both ways! I think my husband enjoys teaching and showing me new things, it makes him feel admired and respected.

As a little girl, I visited the 64/65 Worlds Fair twice. It was awesome. I rode the rides and we took pictures in front of the Globe. I'm with Larry I just love Shake Shack much.

NYC is magical no matter the weather!!! 🏙🥰 Oh there is an all-year-round Christmas store Mindy, it's called the Christmas Cottage (871 7th Avenue W55th and, W 56th St) and I picked up a nutcracker ornament there back when I visited in September 2018 😜.
Larry, there is an awesome podcast all about the history of NYC that I think you would love it's called "The Bowery Boys: New York City History" and they've been podcasting since 2008 so there is a huge backlog of content to catch up on that is fascinating (including a few episodes on The World's Fair). Mindy, they also have a few NYC ghost stories that came up October time, over the years, that you might like too 👻☺️💕

LUV NYC...we had such a great time when we went in Sept 2019....we saw ALOT...but now I’m looking at ur video and I’m like okay we didn’t see the iconic Flatiron bldg or The Vessel nor did I see the Macy’s bldg...NYC architecture is so amazing...and we didn’t walk over the Brooklyn Bridge which I want to do bad...and of course spend more time in Central Park because it is magical!!! I can’t wait to go back! Great video!

I went to the 1965 Worlds Fair..........saw Lincoln....Small World and Carousel Of progress.Th e Piata was on exhibit and if you do some checking many people experienced miracles there.........including myself.They also had the first phone with live transmission..I love traveling when it rains..........crowds are way down.
