I always write my grocery list on paper 😆 milk and eggs would probably be the top 2 things we have to get on every grocery run. Produce I get from a local fruit stand/produce market, wayyyyy more affordable than the grocery store & they're family owned, so happy I have them near by. Glad you had an awesome trip!! ❤❤

I’m glad the Friends Reunion was so long. I think it was an hour and a half or so long which was awesome! I hate that they weren’t their characters but i did love it.
about larry's computer - - - This is the one thing I dont miss about windows ... my suggestion for Larry seeing he hates technology .. get a macbook .. trade in the windows for a macbook and you will never have issues again ... thats my suggestion lol -- joking aside, my husband has been a computer engineer for 30 years and he said DELL is one of the worst laptops you can get.. constant issues with updating and locking up issues when updating things, he said it sounds like a virus issue that is causing his computer to keep cycling ... I would go trade it in while still under warrenty and if he is going to trade it in, I honestly would look into him getting a macbook because its user friendly for people who hate technology. Just my suggestion, but my husband said No bueno on the dell.
there’s so much better out there than macbooks tho i have the 2020 one but they’re way overpriced, hard to use and they don’t last there’s always a problem popping up
the problem is its a Dell. Dells always have problems, they are crap recycled computers. all parts are from other computers. not new parts and over charged.

For Larry: Hit the windows button on keyboard>click settings>click windows updates>click pause for 7 days or>click advanced options>choose Pause Updates and select however many days up to 35 days. Hope this helps

If I'm alone, I use paper lists. If my hubby and I are shopping, we have a routine where we have a marker board on our fridge. We write what we run out of through the week or as we think of what we need. Then he takes a picture on his phone and he goes by aisle and I control the cart 😂
I have a paper grocery list laying on my counter at all times, we add to it as we see we're getting low then I just take it w/ me to the store. Then I have little pieces of paper w/ reminders all over the place to help me remember things.

You can go into updates and set when they install. The default is at startup, and you can change that. Type update in the search box in the lower left if it's there to get to the settings window. I hope this helps..
I fell in love with NY when Manhattan wasn't safe back then. Back in 1991, there were a lot of "squeegee men." They would spit on your car window and then wipe it off with a squeegee. These days, it's much, much safer.
I never knew NYC was an archipelago like the Philippines 🇵🇭. The only borough attached to the mainland is the Bronx. All the other boroughs are islands connected with subways underwater. Brooklyn is the most populated now.

I use paper lists for almost everything! You're not alone. When I grocery shop I always buy a lot of veggies. Spaghetti squash, cauliflower, bell peppers, and carrots are ones I always get because they are easy to make meals with (like stir fry) on days when I'm low on time/motivation. I use an app called Mealime to plan what meals I'm gonna cook and it makes a grocery list for you and so that helps with my shopping. On Larry's computer, there should be an option in the settings for a "sleep mode" where it doesn't turn all the way off, but will basically put it in a standby mode when not in use.
I make a paper list every time I go shopping. My husband picks on me because he sells phone and he’s super into technology. I just think it’s easier 🤷🏼♀️ I also like physically crossing things off the list
Check Battery Park next time. My brother lives around Wall Street. Not too far from it. You got to see Lady Liberty 🗽. I visited it twice. Once in 2005 and 2008. Perfect weather each time. I have 40+ photos of the statue.
Pretty relatable the part you explain about going to NY during this time, my daughter just came back from a vacation trip to Chicago (downtown) I did not like the idea at all. She had a great time, loved the city and mention how nice the people were, so probably the difficult times they have going on is touching the residents way of treating each other and tourists.
If you want to reach 10,000 steps per day, living in Manhattan is definitely the place you want to live in especially Midtown. I can get completely lost at Central Park. It's like a superpark. It's a combination of 100 little parks.
It’s best to leave it on, let it finish its updating. Shutting it down just means the next time it will try to finish the updates. Had that with my mac. If not call dell support. Only a Apple person. Also something can be running in the startup that can be turned off. My guess is you have a lot of updates. Which will take time. If you don’t do updates all the time. This is what happens. Next time go see Strawberry fields in Central Park.. and the Dakota building where John Lennon lived. It’s across the street from the park.

Put the berries in a single layer on a sheet pan, freeze solid and then bag up and then you can get them out easily rather than a big blob of frozen fruit.
The way Larry flicked the hair sticking out of your bun when talking about the computer. 😂😂 but I hate dells. Mine only lasted about 2 years before I got my hp. But even with my hp, I leave it on all the time and shut it down maybe once a week. I just know that it’s important to check for updates to make sure it’s up to date...that’s what the Geek squad told me.

When going grocery shopping, I meal plan first and then my list is based off the ingredients I need, then I figure out if my kids need anything. But I always make sure I have fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, and healthy snacks.
There is a ton to see at The Met. You got to go there next time. If you love history, that's the place. One of the best museums I've ever been to and I've been to the Louvre in Paris and other museums in Europe.

2021 for me: The Year of Apple 🍏. I kinda hated Apple the company for years. I used to own iPods and iPhones but I hated them for years. Now I'm coming back to them. Back to Apple products and then eating a lot of apples daily.
Believe it or not, some of us prefer the tactile feel of paper and pen. Of course I use technology as much as everyone else, but I’m stationary obsessed. I use an actual planner, write in a journal, etc. My favorite thing is to brainstorm and make lists on graph paper. Bliss!

Alligators can be in any body of water, mosquitoes, ticks & fleas are year round. Dew point & humidity so oppressive you can't breathe or sweat. Sadly the part of Fl I live in is also racist with a very high level of gun violence & murder. Definitely planning on relocating my family to another state.
I love writing my list on paper too!!!! And we MUST buy milk every time we are at the store! As a family of 4 milk drinkers we go through it like crazy!

HI LARRY AND MINDY Larry for the couture thing I saw in a video once that turning it off won't let a laptop do its regal updates so when you turn it on it does them and that is why it takes for ever, they stated is best to put it on sleep mode
I’m with Mindy….my Mac never does that. I had other computers for years and always ended up having issues. I’ve had my MacBook for three years now and not a single problem. Larry-get a MacBook! You won’t regret it! As for groceries….I try to be intentional with protein sources and I don’t eat meat so…. Extra firm tofu, string cheese, lentils, greek yogurt, vegetable protein substitutes, and fresh veggies. But always a wide variety of food options. I love the cozy home vlogs too 🥰 glad you guys are home safe💗
My hubby & I are both techs & run our AV Dept at our church. We are in the process of revamping the whole Dept by ourselves. We just ordered all the parts to build our own pc because nothing we saw in stores or online had exactly everything we wanted/needed in a computer. As for the Dell brand: yeah I would have to agree their not the best pcs in the world. They're way better brands out there for the buck. But for now I would just leave it on so it can update, which with Dells could take a while. But if you've had it turned off a lot then it hasn't been able to update in the first place. In which will definitely take a while to update now if at all. Someone who ran the AV Dept before us never really updated the pc not at least since 2015. So when we tried to do that we left the pc on for over 24 hrs & it never could update & then it basically crashed. So good luck with the computer Larry.
Mabey its because I'm old.... but I use a sheet of notebook paper on a clip board when I grocery shop. But we only shop once a month so I have a lot to remember

Larry needs to set his computer to update automatically then leave it on and set it to sleep mode so it may look like it's off but will "wake up" when you open it or move your mouse. Once in awhile you will need to restart to complete updates. I work remotely so I never turn my computer off and have it go to sleep mode.
I use paper for my grocery lists, too. If people are laughing at that, then I feel sorry for them. I’m able to underline the stuff that’s in the cold section, circle the things that are in produce and put bullets beside things that are in the middle of the store. Paper lists for the win!
To hopefully somewhat answer Larry’s computer/laptop question: I am by no means a computer technology expert. But a similar thing happens to me as well. It often happens more when I don’t use it and leave it to charge for like a couple days, or I forget to charge the laptop and the battery dies. I always have to turn it on and off, because the first few times the screen does not wake up. And it does show the updating thing from 1%, eventually getting to 100%. Then after that it just like restarts in a way. What works for me is turning it on and off again until your computer/laptop wake up. That is what works for me at least. Even though it could be annoying and tedious. My laptop is a acer windows 10 brand.

I have visited NYC 3 times now from Toronto 🇨🇦. Stayed in Times Square twice and once near Madison Square Gardens. I LOVED Ellen’s Stardust Diner. The performers there are amazing! Next time I want to stay in Chelsea or West Village.
there is a really cool interactive grocery app called buy me a pie and if you get the pro version it's interactive so you can load it on multiple phones and if you are home and he is at the store you can add items to the list and it's real time updates. You can also update it from the PC and have multiple lists per store that you shop at. I have multiple lists named for each store that I shop at.

Also something can be running in the startup that can be turned off. My guess is you have a lot of updates. Which will take time. If you don’t do updates all the time. This is what happens. Next time go see Strawberry fields in Central Park.. and the Dakota building where John Lennon lived. It’s across the street from the park.
I still use paper and pen for my grocery lists. I keep the adorable conquest Journals "Accio" list on my fridge, that way my husband and kids can add to it 😊

But even with my hp, I leave it on all the time and shut it down maybe once a week. I just know that it’s important to check for updates to make sure it’s up to date...that’s what the Geek squad told me.

When going grocery shopping, I meal plan first and then my list is based off the ingredients I need, then I figure out if my kids need anything. But I always make sure I have fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, and healthy snacks.
There is a ton to see at The Met. You got to go there next time. If you love history, that's the place. One of the best museums I've ever been to and I've been to the Louvre in Paris and other museums in Europe.

Believe it or not, some of us prefer the tactile feel of paper and pen. Of course I use technology as much as everyone else, but I’m stationary obsessed. I use an actual planner, write in a journal, etc. My favorite thing is to brainstorm and make lists on graph paper. Bliss!

Just stay out of water you can’t see through! Been here all my life, it’s hot as all get out in summer but you’ll love it here! Never had a face to face with a gator! 😂😊
There really is not many crocodiles in Florida, mostly alligators. Don’t buy a home near water.
Alligators can be in any body of water, mosquitoes, ticks & fleas are year round. Dew point & humidity so oppressive you can't breathe or sweat. Sadly the part of Fl I live in is also racist with a very high level of gun violence & murder. Definitely planning on relocating my family to another state.

HI LARRY AND MINDY Larry for the couture thing I saw in a video once that turning it off won't let a laptop do its regal updates so when you turn it on it does them and that is why it takes for ever, they stated is best to put it on sleep mode
I’m with Mindy….my Mac never does that. I had other computers for years and always ended up having issues. I’ve had my MacBook for three years now and not a single problem. Larry-get a MacBook! You won’t regret it!
As for groceries….I try to be intentional with protein sources and I don’t eat meat so…. Extra firm tofu, string cheese, lentils, greek yogurt, vegetable protein substitutes, and fresh veggies. But always a wide variety of food options.

My hubby & I are both techs & run our AV Dept at our church. We are in the process of revamping the whole Dept by ourselves. We just ordered all the parts to build our own pc because nothing we saw in stores or online had exactly everything we wanted/needed in a computer. As for the Dell brand: yeah I would have to agree their not the best pcs in the world. They're way better brands out there for the buck. But for now I would just leave it on so it can update, which with Dells could take a while. But if you've had it turned off a lot then it hasn't been able to update in the first place. In which will definitely take a while to update now if at all. Someone who ran the AV Dept before us never really updated the pc not at least since 2015. So when we tried to do that we left the pc on for over 24 hrs & it never could update & then it basically crashed. So good luck with the computer Larry.

Larry needs to set his computer to update automatically then leave it on and set it to sleep mode so it may look like it's off but will "wake up" when you open it or move your mouse. Once in awhile you will need to restart to complete updates. I work remotely so I never turn my computer off and have it go to sleep mode.

I use paper for my grocery lists, too. If people are laughing at that, then I feel sorry for them. I’m able to underline the stuff that’s in the cold section, circle the things that are in produce and put bullets beside things that are in the middle of the store. Paper lists for the win!

To hopefully somewhat answer Larry’s computer/laptop question: I am by no means a computer technology expert. But a similar thing happens to me as well. It often happens more when I don’t use it and leave it to charge for like a couple days, or I forget to charge the laptop and the battery dies. I always have to turn it on and off, because the first few times the screen does not wake up. And it does show the updating thing from 1%, eventually getting to 100%. Then after that it just like restarts in a way. What works for me is turning it on and off again until your computer/laptop wake up. That is what works for me at least. Even though it could be annoying and tedious. My laptop is a acer windows 10 brand.

I have visited NYC 3 times now from Toronto 🇨🇦. Stayed in Times Square twice and once near Madison Square Gardens. I LOVED Ellen’s Stardust Diner. The performers there are amazing! Next time I want to stay in Chelsea or West Village.
there is a really cool interactive grocery app called buy me a pie and if you get the pro version it's interactive so you can load it on multiple phones and if you are home and he is at the store you can add items to the list and it's real time updates. You can also update it from the PC and have multiple lists per store that you shop at. I have multiple lists named for each store that I shop at.
