I must admit Ive been schooled today. I always thought Sal was portrayed publicly as an asshole, tough to work with, egocentric, etc. That's SO NOT true! His drumming on some of my fav albums was , to me, 100% unique and integral to the sound of those albums. Thank you Sal for doing The NYHC Chronicles Live! today & showing the world what a cool sincere heartfelt & genuine cat you are. HAIL! HAIL! 🥁 #RIPPeteSteele
I was at that Exploited/Biohazard/Type O show at the Ritz. The most violent show I ever been to. Someone got stabbed and at one point the singer of Exploited was egging on the crowd to get violent and start a riot
Good stuff! Good to hear Sal's NYC accent, a bit similar to Pete's. Great stories. He seems like a cool guy. (unlike some of the members of his previous band... LoA... haha)
Great interview, always wondered how Sal saw those years. Tons of behind the scenes stuff with a few more insights into what made Pete tick. A Pale Horse Named Death are great btw..Real Type O meets Alice in Chains stuff
what is Sal tawkin bout with the push and pull for timing instead of a click? i mean fuck a click anyway but i don't know what the push pull thing is outside of holding your sticks a certain way.

Sal' drumming is PURE! There's crossover and the dark/goth metal archetype on those Type O Negative/Life Of Agony records.......
i could listen to peter/type o/carn stories for hours thanks for this one
Awesome show! Love Sal's drumming. Thanks Drew 👊💥

Huge influence as a drummer
According to Sal Himself I own i think like one of very few Demo APHND 1st album CDs, I remember him saying that at the show

I caught the band on the first album tour at the old Marquee club in London ... incredible!!
UGLY came out a few months before my Mom passed. I was a sophomore in high school and that album was my literal therapy
Tha pale horse album not on Apple Music question? It is still there, you just have to search the album name and it pops up.
Another Grandslam Drew🤘🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💙
Great guy! Cool episode! Much Love from Germoney
Saw CARNIVORE so many times at Lamour and CBs. Very sad to hear how Pete’s last days were. He was a very cool guy (and fellow film lover).
Great interview type o negative was a great band wish pete was still here
I think "Ugly" is a beast of an album, but underrated. The front cover is overwhelming...
