I was glad to hear Springa mention SSD’s shows at the On Broadway and Ruthie’s Inn among his favorite memories. Those two venues are legendary and don’t get enough mention along with the other legendary venues here that are not Gilman, like The Farm, Tool & Die, The Mab, I-Beam, Omni, the Keystones, etc.

Not at all- dude is on point- best unintentional comedic nyhcc moment was Drew cutting off the hands down one of the most insane ground zero roots of hc story:Springa wearing (and forgetting) a boy scouts uniform?!??!! for a weekend in NYC. Sounded like springa was gonna mention the sportsman hall gig. Oh well guess theres next time. You already know get it away was a total game changer. So much so that it took a few listens for us to truly understand. Glad i missed that psycho sh*t with tacks underneath the shirts. Thats whack lol 🤗
Is there any nyhc forum where I can connect with new yorkers. I'm planning a NYHC vacation with trips to Boston and DC in August 2025. As cheap as possible, no fancy hotels, I'd rather couchsurf. On which website do new yorkers find out about shows? What are the current venues for shows in NY? I'm a 42-year old straight edge kindergarten teacher from Freiburg, Germany. Last week we had Madball and Agnostic Front play here, they've played here several times. Terror are here in two weeks. Happy for any help, thanks you in advance.
