Great show as always. Considering how well-received recent EGH shows have been I think Billy Club and Irate could see similar reception if future shows are ever in the cards. I'm part of the "too young to have seen them before" crowd but these bands are as relevant as ever and it'd be an honor to see them live someday
Gary and Phil awesome guys keeping our hardcore roots alive . Great interview.JOE RAMPAGE 🤘🤘🤘
Love n Respect, Joe! Thank you. 🤘🏻
I also remember the voodoo lounge and the red zone big al dennis d and mary blackwidow did tons of brutal shows in queens and were great allies for the genre.
One big thing that should have been mentioned , even I forgot, was that FAT CAT TATTOOS out of Astoria, Queens owned by Kevin Q., was a big part in bringing the bands together as well
They sold merch and tapes and had flyers in the window for shows. EVERYONE stopped by this place once or twice and had a session in the back, for a tattoo and a session in the back back for a smoke!!
Also the record shop next door was a great spot to, owned by Two-ch……don’t know how to spell his name. H20 did a live in store there.
This era was truly when HIP HOP and HARDCORE had its CROSSOVER. I guess you could say it was the SECOND CROSSOVER in hardcores history.
Good show Drew, and thanks for recognizing our time.
Underground Sound!! Tucci! Great times! Thanks for sharing ! Lots of good times!
100%!! Long live Fat Cat Tattoos!!
Fuuuckin ruthless and brutal! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥🔥
Great interview, I miss Castle Heights!
🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼
Drew, this episode is making me reminisce of the QE2 & coming up in the 518 scene. Can you please use your magic on a QE2 / circa 1990's show? With Ted Etoll, Section 8, Withstand, CutThroat, Str8 Jacket & WarTime Manner! 😱🤯🤘
That would be so sick bro! (Just throwing the idea out there, planting the seed and hoping to reap a mighty harvest when all is said and done . Cheers!
Good idea, We'll get to it.
On the rise was a great fucking band!
Agents of Man rules also
Hey guys ! No mention of Full Blown Chaos and 36 Deadly Fists ? W.T.F. !?!????
I said on the show there were too many bands and I knew we’d miss somebody. Oops. Lots of love for those guys and I’m sure we missed a few more.
They were mentioned at the end.
Sorry Gary and Red Eyed Devil I was watching it late evening and I fell asleep. I wasn't mad or anything and I definitely realize forgetting some groups when talking about a great scene like yours
Both were mentioned.
