Playing this on Switch made me realize how much I relied on the range adjustment feature in Toadstool Tour. This is helping me understand the game better, though. Thanks!
Nintendo Switch release brought me here. Trying to understand the math for rough and bunker shots. But I appreciate your guide man. So helpful. I’m so addicted to the game!
Lol I came here for the same reason. What is it that makes this game so addictive!? Great guide, it really helps solidify the basics. P. S. I've never raged so hard at a game (I've had it stop at 0.07 ft on putts multiple times 😭)! Am I alone?
Yeah I came here for an explanation of bunker shots but his explanation isn’t making sense to me. Otherwise a good video though. I’m also pretty good at math lol
Man, found this at the right time. Decided to give golfing games a try finally. Struggling a bit, but these tips are at least helping go a long way from going in completely blind.
Started playing this on the switch recently. Trying to unlock more characters but the cpu players are so unforgiving 😤 Enjoying the nuances of the game though ⛳
Great informative video. Having recently picked up a switch. Found this really helpful. Not much support with just the basic controls with the games Maybe similar videos from games that are included in the switches N64 library??
Dude, when I resumed playing that game, I'd play with a calculator. With good precision you can get some surprises (par 3 : hole in one, par 4 : Eagle to hole in one for the shortest of them, par 5 : albatross)
I'm stuck trying to unlock Mario on the N64 cartridge from my childhood but these tips may help a bit, thanks. I lost to him 3 times after 18 holes each, on the last 2 shots. Even once in Sudden Death. BEYOND frustrating!!
@@IGotAWoodenSpoon I’m playing yoshi now. Any tips on shaving points off? I’m rewatching this video I know most of the answers are in here but just some good tips would be appreciated! I’ve been playing him for a week now and can keep it fairly close early on but he starts to slip away as the game goes on
@@_rorror_ best advice I can give is to come up with a strategy where you can hit your approach shots using a full swing. It is a lot easier than doing the math and finding the right tick mark to stop at. It may take a few rounds thru to figure out but overall it will be easier than just hitting driver and then hoping for the best.
Thanks for this. Game doesn't really have an explanation. It assumes you already know how to play golf. I can't do either. One day I'll try the real thing but first I'm gonna start with Mario lol
Can somebody please explain the math behind the bunker shot ? I suck with numbers. I managed to eventually comprehend the first part on account of your excellent teaching, but when you added the 6 yards to the bunker shot I tried forever to understand where you got that extra 6 yards from. Can you help please ? Thanks !
There are some other variables to it not being able to see a specific shot you are referring to. Wind, uphill or downhill, and not hitting both bars perfectly can affect distance and direction the ball ends up. Just like golf it’s not a perfect science but with some quick math you should be able to give it a best estimate. I usually go one club up on a lot of shots because I know I probably won’t time it perfect
D pad: down down left left right right C buttons: C-down C-down C-left C-left C-right C-right will unlock you everything (its a cheat code and you use this on the menu)
i can rarely get a nice shot, it's like there is a delay from when i press the A button, is this normal?, or is it just part of the game?, or just modern TVs unable to cope with it?
It’s tough but if your playing on switch it would be different than n64 just because of newer technology and reaction times. Best thing to do is pick out a line close to the end and press the button when meter hits it. If it’s too late pick a shorter line if it’s too early pick a later line. Trial and error and you should get a consistent strategy going.
How can you tell which way the wind is blowing? All I see is a windy flag but not a direction indicator. And another question, does putting top spin on your ball pile drive through wind better to make a straighter shot? Is that what I'm gathering?
Whichever way the boo ghost’s face in the top right is pointing is which way the wind is blowing. Top spin may help if wind is blowing in your face but a better strategy would be hitting something with lower trajectory at less than full power.

theres a cheat code that unlocks all characters and courses, save your time, have fun
Trying to go back through and unlock all the characters I couldn't as a kid. Thank you for this video!
Mario or not, this low key looks like a great golf game!
It is indeed a great game, my favourite golf game. Great relaxing music and atmosphere. My favourite game to relax to.
Thanks to this video, I beat Mario 1ST TRY after countless 18 hole bouts of failure. Thank you!! Just need DK, Bowser, Maple, and Metal Mario now.
This is so helpful, thank you so much!
I've been playing this game lately, and I didn't even know how to read some of the numbers lol
This video just became newly relevant with the NSO release of this game! Good info
My friend and I have a friendly competition coming up and this video might give me the edge I need.

I just started to play this game on Nintendo Switch and golf games are not too familiar to me. So thank you for the explanations!
Very helpful, i did not know about some of these things, thank you!
So helpful. Was not understanding how to play this game till now
Excellent video. This looks like a great channel, too.

Never even knew that's what the numbers below the ball meant, maybe I should've checked the instructions again. That alone explains a lot.

Any idea when hitting on a slope? Do I follow the white line off the ball or the grated area of where it expects it to be
Thanks. Extremely helpful.
I love this game
I dont understand the rest in this game. If it says rest 125 and you hit it 125 you can still have a 40 foot putt. What am I missing?

Is this project 64? I keep changing clubs by mistake when trying to place effect on ball. Any Ideas?

Try enabling Game Mode on your TV.
@@Benobot99 ok thanks 👍
Does this game have topspin and backspin?
I think if you press A then B then A you can add backspin. Also you can use Z or R to target a specific spot on the ball during the swing.
God this game passes me off. That's why I'm here
Sob it's still hard.
How do you know the wind direction
@@wolfmanwalrus1604 top right, if the boo is facing you it would be blowing against you at (m) speed
cool thx
