Considering the manpower difference between the two empires, and the mobile nature of the turkic riders, I doubt that taking that traitor affected the outcome of the battle and war, but instead just made an already likely scenario become guaranteed. The byzantines had almost no chance of decisively destroying such a fast army then win the siege at manzikert before the seljuks built another army. That would be two miracles back to back.
