The engine breaking as mentioned on the new Jimny is not very good but crawling downhill can be improved with lower transfer gears, my old SJ413 lwb was similar downhill to the Jimny until l put 6.5:1 transfer gears in and then it was easily if not better downhill than my V8 Range Rover!
I am glad to see sensible driver not spinning the wheels and screaming " Send it" and destroying the tracks.

I thought it had a switch on the center console that had a crawling decent?

you have hill descent on the jimny
