As a professional gambler i just want to leave my 2 cents: There are 2 ways you can go about gambling: doing it for money and doing it for fun. If you do it for fun, obviously you shouldnt depend on winning. Place a few dollar so you can enjoy the thrill of the game a little more; be happy if you win but dont miss your next rent if you lose (low stakes). If you are doing it for money, make sure you are actually making money. Dont depend on it before its actually profitable. And most importantly for both scenarios: Choose the right place to bet. Bookmakers tweak the orders in their favour and if you still manage to be profitable, they ll just ban you. Even if its just casual betting for fun, there is no need to get scammed by a bookmaker. Bet on exchange markets.
In my country Ghana, bet has become a way of life and a lot of us place our lives in it for hope. I used to hate it but when I completed University with second class in computer science but with no job, I decided to try it to increase the small amount I had to be able to purchase a laptop but ended up losing all. The majority of betting shops in the U.K are located in poor/working class areas where unemployment is high. People with little money will always be chasing a dream and a big win could help them with their dream. It's sad to see the exploitation of poor people by these companies
The virtual betting aspect is terrifying. No longer does a gambler need to wait for a live football match or wait for the outcome of the entire game. Another “product” by these syndicates to addict a generation.

Sam LSD worshipping white ? Are you an idiot? What does white worshipping have to do with being a bet addict for fuck sake
@@angelhighlight5154 as if the whites themselves are not even more addicted? Just an ignorant person talking about Africans when they have never met one, let's not even talk about them visiting Africa
Nigeria always leading the way
Seems like Everytime I don't bet my picks win🤦🏻♂️ smh
Also barn churches as well, they take money from people promising them more riches...
Well said that's much worse
I used to work for Kings Sports Betting’s counter part in DR Congo. At the end of the day it’s these companies that fill their pockets.
Betting messed up my little brother, he was this modest focused guy, but a few months into playing this gamble of a game, with a few encouraging wins, a crazy side in him erupted,he sold most of all our house belongings just to stay abreast with his betting,he even would resote to theft at his work place just to keep winning and losing 🤕🙃it should be banned honestly, but that's easier said than done. Hmm,great documentary though.
No it shouldn't be banned because people have fun doing it, your problem unfortunately needs to seek help.
I think for that you just have to blame self awareness
Uganda is my second home. I don't forget the hospitality of the Ugandans
I'm Chinese and my father says the word gamble in Chinese is a house with a well in front! Gambling is a losers game!
And yet Chinese are the heaviest when it comes to gambling. Ironic. Only difference with us and the Africans we bet big amount one shot instead of shitty small bets. That's why when u win it's definitely big.
I feel you brothers im 18 from Albania and when i win 100 euros im losing 250
Ça bone
But as Africa we must blame the devil for almost everything....
Even our choices....
The comments are a proof
Even though there’s disclaimers and warnings all over the place.Imagine a documentary about the evil of smoking in Europe.. governments in Africa need to regulate the industry and ban foreign betting companies Websites from being accessible within the country.
Thank you bro. Everything is the Whitemans fault
We give Satan so much credit
Anin A yeah whiteman are pretty bad it’s better to keep things like getting state down or atleast done by non foreign people a non foreign person I more likely to reinvest and build in the communities they came from
I agree. Without the will of man, the devil cannot stand.
I really enjoyed this documentary. I’m white from London but gambling affects us all. Typical you don’t bet on the final and would’ve won. I’m a gooner so still gutted we lost 😭 Sorry to hear the loss of Mathias.

People need to understand that not everyone can do everything. Not everyone can fly plane, play football professionally, become doctor or engineer. Same goes with betting only few can make profit out of it. Luckily I am one of them.
i concur with your point.actually life is a bet bro
Well said.

Yes especially here in Nigeria, Bayelsa State precisely I have seen somebody loss all most 200,000 k in virtual betting. Am also an addict in betting.
