So, I've watched so many of your videos, and really enjoy them. I've been an avid camper my entire life and am now passing that on to my kids. One thing I can say that makes your videos so much better than most, is, you talk to us. You bring us on the camp and include us in the conversation. Love the stories! Love the lessons!
So good to see you back, Joe - you're often imitated, never duplicated! All the best to you and your girls from England :) (Love hearing your English accent btw!)

Hey Joe! Love your videos and glad you are back. So sorry to hear about Autumn. Praying for some relief for her soon. It's so hard as a parent to have to watch your child go through it. Just know you are doing all you can. Just a tip with the cast iron: let the pan heat up first over the fire, then add oil and let that heat up, then add the food it should help keep it from sticking.
you should expand on the fort. Like a mud room where you can break up wood without being out in the wind. also would make it harder for the elements to get into the sleeping area.
I feel like tripper looks bigger then the last time we saw him. He's so pretty. Seems like you hunkered down really well lol. Also continued prayers for Autumn!
I'd be down for that 100%, I go crazy for outdoor gear and if it ends up supporting Joe so he can keep doing what he does then that is just icing on the cake :D. But me personally I am not much for camo, I like solid colour clothes in greens, browns or black.

We got that copied, sending in units as we speak.
What a good dog!!
LOL
thats a extremely smart dog.
Absolutly love trippers personality what a character he is so glad to see him back
Was für ein toller Hund!
Tripper * barking *
Joe "what is it ?"
Me ... oh shit this is how it starts in a horror movie
Tripper found Bigfoot!
Ahaha true
Lol
It's nothing. NOTHING BUT A WENDIGO!
Lol!
The thing I love about your videos is just how simplistic they are; no extreme editing, no annoying background music, and no scripting or fake skits. That is why so many people love your channel, including me. Keep up the great work! I love watching people build things, and I love building myself. I like to build little forts and things down at my creek, it is very rewarding. Again, I love the videos! Keep up the great work, and I hope the best for your daughter. I hope everything goes well, fingers crossed. 🤞
So cool seeing Tripper growing into his features. Gorgeous dog. Thanks Joe!
my son camps like this. I don't know where he got such a notion, and I think ya'll are crazy - but I love watching! Your dog has enough personality for an entire series all his own. Love love.
Welcome Back, Tripper! So happy to see he's back out in the woods with you.
Overnight camping during a blizzard is now on my bucket list of camping trips I want to go on.
I really like how he communicates with every thing and I can't say how many RUclipsrs have watched where they go out to the fort and they do all their tasks but they don't talk about anything this man does
Good to see Tripper back, he looked to be having fun testing his new knees. I'm sorry thing just don't seem to be turning out the best for Autumn, she is in my prayers. Looking forward to seeing new camping trips.
Yes we missed seeing Trip, so glad he is back and doing so well.
I love how dog owners, myself included, ask our dogs what is it!?? Like they will answer.
Oh they answer.
Your not the only one...
I like how he called out "Firewood!" like it would say "Over here!"
They do.
When mine starts yapping, I ask her, " 'Sup, pup ? "
she has never once told me I'm nuts.
All the best to you and your girls from England :)
(Love hearing your English accent btw!)
A dog in the forest...companion, security, entertainment. Love ya Tripper.
Awww, love to see the mighty Tripper! He's looking good and healthy. Oh, nice to see you, too, Joe. 😁
I still miss scout :( I watched your vids since I was 7 and I was so happy to see dogs I saw u and scout as really good friends I wish he could live longer we will all miss him rest in peace scout 🙏 😔
One of the more entertaining things to me was watching the dog being so attentive when you were prepping and cooking food. :-)
Love seeing Tripper being a happy dog in the woods. Nothing like being a “boy and his dog in a fort in the woods”. Thanks for that vicarious outing.
Wow, it's good to see Tripper back on his feet again.
Like hunting dogs, Tripper should have a spiked collar or metal (wolf collar) for when he's alone in the woods. They go for the neck/throat first.
Yeah Joe and Tripper in their natural habitat. Blessings and prayers for your whole family. Was waiting for ur video. Stay safe Sir.
you should expand on the fort. Like a mud room where you can break up wood without being out in the wind. also would make it harder for the elements to get into the sleeping area.
Love that dog. So vocal and expressive. What a great companion
I feel like tripper looks bigger then the last time we saw him. He's so pretty. Seems like you hunkered down really well lol. Also continued prayers for Autumn!
I was thinking the same! He’s grown.
What has happened with autumn?
@@jakobj2966 her eye surgery failed. This was the third surgery. :(
@@pandaloves17 oh no!! Poor kid!! 😢
I miss scout so much I always looked forward to seeing him in ur videos and when I heard he passed I was deeply saddened he will always be missed
Merch idea... a “tripper” jacket, rugged lightweight with reinforced elbow patches.
Badass idea!
Reinforced "expensive" elbow patches! :P
Waterproof exterior...padded inside with small and large exchangeable side pockets for trekking in his own gear...and just around camp.
Yeah, in the Tripper camo pattern...
I'd be down for that 100%, I go crazy for outdoor gear and if it ends up supporting Joe so he can keep doing what he does then that is just icing on the cake :D. But me personally I am not much for camo, I like solid colour clothes in greens, browns or black.
sending lots of love your daughter and the whole family
I'll bet Tripper was beyond excited to go camping.
I’m so sorry about your little girl joe. My parents tried my whole life up until now to fix my foot that has to many veins in it. It’s very rare and very hard to cure. Whatever you put your girl through just know it’s the right choice if they tell you it’s gonna help and if it doesn’t help it’s not your fault and your girl will get that one day. 💜
Its very hard to keep someone hooked for 50 Minutes. You did it, good job.
My dogs went nuts when Tripper barked lol, he was having a blast and it showed. This made me think back to the camping we used to do, when you had to do everything you did, make our entertainment, and had lots of half chilled half burnt fun. Great video.
Heartbreaking to see Joe bummed out like this. Was wondering what was wrong until we heard about Autumn. Wishing all the best for her! Things'll work out!
Honorary wholesome award.
I was missing out on so much! I remember Tripper getting in a boat and going on a hike for the first time and suddenly he's so fricking big! God! Enjoyed this, glad to be back and seeing you're still uploading. Bless you both and your family!
Why am I sitting here, with my dog, on a cold winter night, watching a man chow down a rib eye steak? Man, I wanted you to pass a piece of that to me too! What a fun night. Tripper enjoyed it too. Thanks for the video.
It's okay buddy, you and your family have my prayers.
I love how caring and patient you are with tripper i know how you feel getting a bundle of energy after having the best dog ever it keeps ya on your toes hah god bless you and your family man been watching for years and will continue !
Good to see Tripper healthy and bouncing around! He acts just like my 6 year old German Shepherd while camping, backpacking or staying at cabins. Digging up snow, eating ice, grabbing logs!
Joe, I'm happy to see that you are back on Facebook. I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and about Trooper. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and I hope you will find a way to help your daughter.
Tripper seems like the most enjoyable nuisance you could ever ask for. Love to see it!
I'm starting to think that, based on his colors and overall demeanor, the German Shepherd you think you own might just be a Hyena. Good boy.
Pretty sure hes actually a belgian malonore or however u spell it
Belgium malinois
@@waterfowlwarriors5495 It's a Dutch Shepherd.

@@adder80 There is nothing like a Dutchie. 😊 Sometimes mine would get mistaken for a catahula (spelling) by folks who'd never heard of a Dutch Shepherd.
He is definitely a good shepherd, go back and watch the videos when Joe first got him.
I enjoy Twins Joe and Steve from the comfort of my bed. Been enjoying being an invalid since 2014. It's not so bad with great RUclips channels (characters) and good books. This was my life in Northern Wisconsin/Upper Michigan and Colorado for 68 years. Your good times in the woods brings back my memories of having playtime in the wilds. Good memories of blizzards, -50°F, 7 foot snowdrifts. Oh boy!!!! Thank you Joe and Tripper for my "Ridealongs".
TRIPPER!!!!!! Hell yeah man! 'just had to comment before watching the entire video! lol., so happy he is able to come out with you now~!
Hello Joe,Good to see you and your dog. I really have to say your pal is hilarious,a real riot, and going concern! You can see he’s been treated well.Keep safe you two! Thanks Joe,watching always!
You should set up a trail cam inside the fort to see what comes in when your not there
Someone send Joe a trail cam care pack quick!!!
Good idea
My kids were so excited to see Tripper again! My toddler kept yelling his name!
Sasquatch is sometimes confused with Big Foot - Yeti never complains
LOL, i liked that..🤣🤣🤣
You forgot about the samsquanch
@@noland5345 goddamn samsquanch, trampling the weed
Daaaaaddddd
Yeh! love your dog and your communication with him. And if you’s love each, treating each other respectfully your dog out there will always let you know if something is there to hurt you.And dogs don’t cry wolf! I respect you for treating him well, he’s alert and awesome breed. Thank-you,Carol
Good to see Tripper up and moving around. I'm not sure how much time my dog has left with us. He's getting up there and has developed a bleeding disorder.
Your dinner makes me want to start doing more camp cooking and stop relying on backpacker meals.
I loved the "Camping with Steve " reference.
Laughing at Trip chasing the embers...he really tells you off for burning perfectly good sticks😂
He's a good dog he's watching out for you German Shepherds smart I believe all dogs are wonderful and have a sense of protection sounds like a good time that you guys have I love to watch the video really gives me a sense of Peace sister looking at it how you guys enjoy it it's wonderful thank you for posting this video
At 23 minutes... when your eyes roll back in your head, you KNOW it's a great ribeye. My all time favorite cut too. Great job Joe.
Miss seeing you, Doug, and Shawn all together - hope to see the dream team back together again after the rona!
Yeah!! I know what you mean!!
The dog is amazing, he's a good protector.
Always carry that "little dependable friend".
Scout was better
I do enjoy the videos with Tripper, he was unique and is sorely missed
Good to Tripper on the mend at last Joe , You'll be surprised just how strong your daughter will be going through this! when you feel like your falling apart yourself! Our daughter has two brain tumours of which numerous Dr's are keeping an eye on and debating which is the best way to remove them as they are right in the center of her brain! Dr's are worried! We're falling apart! but she's like " Look ev1 i'm ok all will be good i've got too much to do as i grow for this to beat me "! She's 12 and wants to be a translator , but not just any? She is learning Chinese , Japanese and Korean! Be possitive stay strong!
Shriners have some amazing doctors, just wanted you to know that we are praying for your family, learning 3 languages at 12, with a not stop attitude, she sounds amazing, God's got this, take care, God Bless ❤️
My hat's off to Joe he's definitely highly-skilled and he knows how to survive outside stuff like what he's teaching about Canada's Wilderness should be taught in the schools for kids and everything so they know to survive outside of things go Haywire
What a beautiful, funny dog. Seeing him jump up and down, wanting to play with that big piece of dead tree made me almost snort-laugh!
"Come on dad, throw my dead tree log so I can fetch it for you!"
Prayers for your wife and little girl. Times of illness can be so stressful and you all need to be there for each other. Prayers for you all. (Jane)
Yeahhhh ! Never clicked anything so fast 😍. Bless you and family. Take it easy Tripper 😘
Nice timing and tripper too. What a treat!
Tripper: "You go ahead and eat the steak Dad...I filled up on sparks."
Hey Joe I'm from upstate NY, my uncle's used to backpack into the Adirondack mountains for days at a time. They used to have what they called a sulky I believe. It was a two wheeled wagon with a platform they pulled all their gear in and out. You could use something like that, or a set of wheels from a kayak to move and collect fire wood
Also, big wheels (the SIZE of bicycle wheels or larger) work better in rough country and/or snow than small wheels.
