Great video. This is the way I learn, explanation of the technique and then being shown what the technique is. Then following it with more examples. I never understood how you could make a white/light background dark or black in bright light. Seeing how this works in realtime with the explanation helped me understand the concept. I have a new tool to practice.

You do that to get rid of the ambient light.
