she is back home now in Glasgow, I am very fortunate to see her sailing past my apartment daily during the summer season up here on the west coast (firth of Clyde)

Thanks for watching. That's good news - I think the sail back from London was over 800 nautical miles. I want to sail on her down the Clyde one day, My mum and dad both did that a few times when they were younger (my mum was born in Port Glasgow and my dad in Johnstone). The nearest I have done to it so far is to sail on the Calmac ferry from Largs to Millport!

Great to see Waverley full of passengers again it's been a difficult time keeping her operational.

Yes, we were on her in June last year and it wasn't anything like that busy. Great to see.

Great vid. I somehow managed to miss this until now. Shame Dixie Queen (I think) was blocking the view at the end.

Thanks. Yes - Dixie Queen was in the way so I waited around and filmed the previous video to capture her coming under the bridge on the way back downriver.

Sadly the Waverley is not always based in London.
My wife and I shall be visiting London in August and during our visit we want to take a trip on Thames .. but it's hard to know which one is best .. there seems to be several cruise options and also some 'water buses' for want of a better term.
My wife isn’t too keen on water but she agrees a river trip is probably a ‘must’ when visiting London. We were there late last year too (our first time in 20+ years) so did see some of the famous sights then.
Which do you think is the best value river trip ?

Yes - sadly the Waverley is only here late September / early October.
In terms of a river trip, the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers is basically, as you say, a bus service whose main purpose is to take passengers from A to B as quickly as possible. Mose of the seats are undercover and there is no commentary so probably not best for a sight seeing visit.
You are better off using a company such as City Cruises www.cityexperiences.com/london/city-cruises/
They offer everything from single / return tickets to dining cruises. They also offer 24 hour tickets but this may not be relevant to you if you only want a one off cruise. They operate between Westminster and Greenwich so you should cover all the main central London attractions that can be seen from the river.
As an aside, nearer the time, you may also wish to check out the Tower Bridge web site which is at www.towerbridge.org.uk/lift-times
This will give you expected lift times of Tower Bridge and you may be able to arrange for your "river day" to coincide with a bridge lift.
Alternatively, you can look at the Port of London Authority web site for expected cruise ship arrival dates which is www.pla.co.uk/Travel/Cruise-Ship-Diary/Cruise-Ship-Diary
Again, you may be able to plan your river trip to Greenwich with a date that a cruise ship will be in port.
Please let me know if you require anything further.
