- Instructions for drawing tulip. You'll soon be drawing fantastic tulips with this easy drawing tutorial, I'll show you how to draw a tulip. The tutorial covers looking for the shapes in the tulip and how to get the proportion of the shapes correct. It also covers how to create and draw edges with graphite - details of where to buy graphite is shown below. This tutorial also explains that the initial drawing is part of the whole drawing and shouldn't be removed. Finally, I demonstrate how to create subtle edges and lines to create the character of the flower, in this case the tulip.
Teenagers and above should find this drawing tutorial useful. It will also be useful for beginners to drawing or those wanting to improve their drawing skills and techniques.

i am glad you pointed out the big issue of hyperrealism taking over everywhere on media. I think its the same with music, fast executions and technical ability are now more important than composition and meaning. lovely video as usual thank you

I only have pencils, could you please show a way to get edges with just regular pencil.
Use the pencil on its side so you use the side of the pencil lead rather than its point.

Sir, I subscribed, but I need to take more classes from you. Please keep posting, Sir. I am an 44 year old lady who recently started learning how to draw. When I was a kid, I begged my mother for two things 1. Dancing and 2. drawing. Both are unfulfilled. Not because of money, neither for the absence of drawing school. There was a drawing school after 6 buildings from my building. My mom simply didn't like that's why I didn't get the chance to learn. Instead, she forced me into music lessons, which I didn't like. My marriage is also forced on me. Finally, now my kid is 19 years old, so I took the initiative to love myself and started learning. Your videos are easy to follow. So I request you to post more, Sir, please. ( Sorry for the bad English.)
I will be posting again in the future, but a number of things have happened in my personal life which has delayed things. I have just bought a house which needs lots of renovation when that is finished I shall post again.

Can you please do a tutorial series on understanding light & shadow?
1) How do I know where the light hits & how it hits surfaces?
2) What are the different types of light and how can each be illustrated?
3) How can light & shadow be applied to scenes, both simple & advanced?
Don't over complicate things. Light creates shadow, what you need to do is look and really observe. Shadow is simply a series of tones, look how the light changes colour and tone. Draw what you see. You don't apply shadow to a scene you observe it. Get hold of a torch shine it on an object watch the shadows. Draw what you see, look and learn. It is the only way to do it.
@@PaulPriestleyart Thank you. But my goal is actually to draw from imagination. I want to learn light & shadow concepts that I can apply to everything I draw. I've done a lot of observation drawings but I'm tired of that. It's boring so I'm looking at tutorials to see if I can learn some useful tips. I don't mind using references as a guide but I don't want to totally rely on them, and I certainly don't want to just copy them. I really wish to draw from imagination and bring the ideas I have to life.

I think you need to explain more at the beginning and do it slower as you just get straight to shading really lightly but you don't tell us what shapes to draw and as it's really light we don't know what to draw sorry but it's true you need to explain more and be slower
Did you see the bit at the beginning where I drew the basic triangular shapes in red to explain how to start? Perhaps you missed all the other explanations in blue. Speed is relative. I'm sorry you found it difficult to follow, you could always pause the video. P.S. It's a good idea to use punctuation it makes it easier to understand. Cheers
