Whoever wants a e46 or e39 now is the best time to get one while the market is at its lowest for these cars they are only gonna shoot up in value in the near future for a nice clean one
The most iconic BMW. I have a 2003 E39 530i. Amazing reliability and comfort. Extremely smooth to drive. Incredible fuel consumption on the highway (7.2L/100km), and not bad in town either (10-13L/100km).
My friend has a 2002 528i, and even after all those years and over 230,000km it still runs strong. Rides nice too, and despite the age it still turns heads. Superb car, even though I'm not the biggest BMW fan, I'd love to have one of these.
@@shexroman8684 i got it sold it due to having to replace the coolant reservoir every 2 years i live in a very hot state now i have the benz in my pic i sold the bmw it was a fun car for what it was lol just frusterating
Best BMWs ever made. Including the 3s and 7s during this gen. Damn the 525i is rare around me, all the 540i does is make it impossible to own. Great video
please dont play music when your drive the car.... makes it a little hard to hear the sounds of the vehicle. =) still a great video though!! your doing an awesome job!
We in Europe, or at least in Poland, don't drink so many soda drinks or fast food cups. Therefore, I don't see a need to have a cup holder in a car. Another simple point is, that in USA most of the cars have automatic transmission, so other hand can be busy holding something, where in Europe, that hand is needed to change gears. When I want to drink something, I would rather pull over or drink at home or at a rest place.
More than likely the radio display as well as the gauge cluster has been replaced. The pixels die out on those generations all the time. Once the A/C system is used regularly it will always blow ice cold. My 13 year old Maxima still has cold A/C.
back in the day when the bmw mercdes and audi had their premium cars we had the odd ball a 200 saab 9-5 best car of all of them just because the seats were so comfortable
It really depends on the car and the discretion of the used car manager, dealers will get rid of older cars from their lots bc they have too many issues, the used cars Jerrys keep must be in good shape for us to resell them
Thanks! BMWs tend to have a stiffer suspension than Audi's. At least the older models. Never BMWs have gotten softer, however, I always thought they had a nice balance between sporty handling and ride comfort.
Hey man I like your video, quite informative. I got a question though, do you think this BMW's suspension is soft? I mean is it soft and fun to drive , for example like an Audi A6 (same year)? Because I live in a city where the roads are not really good , and have a lot of holes , big and small ones, so would I really feel those holes in this 5 series? Thanks!
Would you guys recommend getting a 530i M Sport package 2002 for $4,290? It has a little over 142K miles. Any issues that happen around this mileage? What should I look out for? Any tips and help is appreciated!
+hardcorelifeforus000 if it's in good shape, buy it! Sounds like a good deal. Just check that the car has maintenance records such as: front suspension, control arms, brakes, gaskets, ccv valve, tune up, tires, water pump, thermostat, belts, radiator, vanos seals.
no dif from the 528i although i have the 6disc cd changer and retractable rear window and side widow screens. If you look inside the trunk to the left there should be a tag that tells if the car is bmw bluetooth equipped.
I own a 2001 BMW 530i with The M Sports Package which makes This car a lot better and the Back seats do go down there is a latch on the back of the seats by the seat belt and the BMW do not have Bluetooth they come with a Flip phone of some kind with a number but I've never seen one its rare for a 2001 530i owner have this phone .
I just got this car and it does in fact have the phone but somehow I just locked myself out, Any advice? I have the master keys in my hand but went to unlock it after work and couldn't get in...
hi, i enjoyed your review one question how many adult bodies do you think i could fit in the boot? if you were dazed and locked in the boot is it possible to escape?
I personally don't like fast food and avoid it at all cost, I cook at home most of the times, I just have to mention it bc most Americans really care about it. But we all dont eat fast food lol
That had to be the least informative car review I've ever seen. "The Hood makes a nice noise when it closes" the boys at top gear are far more informative.
Hi everybody all over the world.I love that car and I want to buy bmw 530i but I hesitate a little bit I know this model is very comfort soft fast but I want to hear from peopel who has this model car. Please could you possible tell me about BMW 530i? Thanks a lot in advance.
BMW's always made RWD cars. That's great. They've also had optional 4wd (x-drive) on some models and even 4wd as standard on some models. Quite understandable, many people do actually need 4wd. But now, they're planning to make "at least 5" fwd models. Seriously, what the hell are they thinking? Don't things like small hatchbacks, MPVs and synthetic engine noise (on M series cars, no less) ruin their image enough already among auto enthusiasts? :( I've been considering getting a BMW, but seriously, I wouldn't want anything newer than an E60 in terms of 5-series... considering the way they're going.
+Javier Serrano Bit hungrier than the 528i, but still pretty acceptable. According to figures; Around town, short trips from cold: 530i 20-23mpg Mixed runs, blasts along single carriageway A roads, overtaking, etc etc 530i 28-31mpg Motorway work at 70ish 530i 37-40mpg As with every car though, the biggest factor with your mileage is your right foot.
Hi. Nice review. However I find it pretty funny how much attention, You Americans put on those cup holders. Why is this so important? I live in Europe and we don't go so often to KFC, McDonalds etc. Maybe You should do more cooking at home and not rely so much on fast food chains? Food there is crap anyway.
Stick with E39. I sat in E60 and is so ugly and cheap inside! f10 is better, but overall, in my opinion, the car is way to large. Is not as nimble as it used to be. Reliability and cost of ownership are not going to be cheap, but hey, you live only once! I'm going to buy one with manual(of course!) but going to keep it only for 6 months, because of these running costs!
You Americans prefer to waist your time queueing in front of fast food, burning the fuel, when in same time, inside is empty and plenty of parking places. That is why it is so important for you to have a cup holder. How about buying a flask and brewing tea or coffee home?
Hi. I'm not totally against Your country. There are few things which I don't like. In the UK, where I'm living now, there are couple of bullshits too. Same aplies to my home country, Poland. I'm sure You're not a big fan of US health system and fact, that corporations seem to control USA.
One of the best cars ever built. Great car.
Johnny Sler he vé , bi
9 years later people are still buying then. I just brought one for 3000 today. I appreciate your descriptive video very informative

E39 such a legendary car
I have the exact same car, and I love it !
Same here but with manual gearbox. Love it too.
one of the nicest cars ever!
please dont play music when your drive the car.... makes it a little hard to hear the sounds of the vehicle. =) still a great video though!! your doing an awesome job!
haha thanks! Its just crazy how far the new 5 series has gone today!
love the new intro! Really quick :)
It was the 97 MT Import Car of The Year, and it was also the highest rated car in the history of Consumer Reports
Definitively digging the news intro!! I've always wanted one of this generation, but 540i w/manual of coarse!
timeless styling
I really like the shorter intro, and that is one sexy car! Love BMWs!
97 540i.. well, i've rebuilt the car basically, but i still love it. my wallet doesn't but it's the best handling car i've had.
nice review, Great new intro, short and sweet ;)

nice new intro as well as video! Although, I may suggest, please let the music wait a little. I had a hard time hearing the engine!
did you end up getting it? cause im getting this for my first car too LOL. Is it worth it man?

i have a 530d with 267.000 and it runs very very good for his age.. 14 years almoust!! and trust me not many cars can run with me ( in my town )
awesome interiors, I didn't think so
Nice video. Wondering what is the go with the backwards -/+ selector on some cars, within the E39 series?

I have the same car in grey I'm getting a new engine for mine. My don't have headed seats
I got ONE just like it except its black.
cupholders are a convenience regardless of how often you use them. european cars' cupholers are pathetic but they're getting better.
Does anyone know how roomy this car is?
Smitty Werbenmanjensen Very roomy
How is this car on gas?

Chill out, stop criticizing America, it's the best country on Earth.
your worrying about the music... that is sad
Some idiot at my school has a black one like this. Lowered, gold wire-type rims, roof rack, and fart box.
Goods cars until now
This was the car 2 pac was killed in. Or was that a 7 series? Lol
Nice review man.But german cars are so overpriced.I prefer an acura or a lexus with same quality and hlaf the price of this.
