We have TERRIBLE roads😭😭😭😭 but it's not because we don't use the pitch but because WASA (water and suwage authority) always digs it up and not fix them LaBrea where the pitch lake is has literally the worse roads in the country because the pitch undergreound bubbles up and it also causes the land to move alot and the houses in the area slide alot

Because of where we are located we have very little natural disasters, the most we have are earthquakes and not huge ones. All the hurricanes and storms tend to bend and go north toward Barbados or Dominca without hitting Trinidad
The video was very informative but as a Trini i want to say that a lot of things were left out ...guess because of time. Firstly, we do hv roads! U can access the beaches, those places that are accessible by hiking is specifically for that reason.... great hiking experience. We are a nesting ground for the giant leatherback turtles who swim thousands of miles to get here to lay their eggs. The golden tree frog is found in our northern range...one of two places in the world i believe. The Queen's Park Savannah is the largest "roundabout " in the world. Our beautiful diverse population enables us to celebrate so many different cultural experiences and our people enjoy the differences and we get along with basically everybody. Words cannot gv a true sense of Trini life. We are an "experience " to remember. FYI.....our KFC is the best in the world. I kn people who dont get on the plane home without Trini KFC in hand. ❤
It's similar to the material in the La Brea Tar pits in the US and is actually named La Brea as well, as both were named by the Spanish and "Brea" just means "pitch" or "tar" in Spanish
I used to keep my kiddies carnival costume now im 16 turning 17 this year next year will be my last year of kiddies carnival ill be playing as individual in a big costume 😃

Er... some beaches are inaccessible via roads in Trinidad, but most, like Manzanilla, Matura, Maracus, Granville, Mayaro etc - those have roads. You will be fine. Also although America came up with the KFC Brand, We in Trinidad here love we flavor and spice so, yeah, we can say it's better than the original american version (because it doesn't have flavor or spicy. It's just bland and disappointing.) In regards to Japan and why they have it as a Christmas Dish - it's because in Japan, there's no such thing as Turkey. So many International Foreigners who grew up with the Christmas Tradition of Ham and Turkey for the holidays, didn't know Japan isn't into Turkey - (cuz Turkey's are not a native species there), that they just started ordering KFC instead as a substitute. Because Japan KFC got so swamped with orders, it became a festival thing - to the point where apparently if you want one now, you have to make sure to pre-order in advance, so that they'll know how many orders to fill for everybody. Btw, the Population Statistics tend to change (becasue people do die off from natural causes and cuz we do have crime). At the time of the Japan Olypmics, the populous was 33% Indo, 33% African, with everybody else mixed or other making up the other. The statistics is probably less now on either side, since the Pandemic. Just saying to correct the misconception that Indos are "more" when it's not. I'd say it's about equal between the two larger groups.

American KFC tasted like poison when I tried it 🥲. Had to have Trinidadian KFC the minute I went back

The roads leads to the beaches where u park and hang out on the sand eat play games hang hammocks put up tents and camp out
They’re now using our resources to pave the roads😂so roads are smooth now
