- One of the best sounding bass tracks in all of the classic era sonic games. Very difficult to replicate but think I got it pretty much bang on.

Hehehe you made one of my favorites Sonic tunes on my Birthday, sounds amazing, is tricky to get the Genesis sounds and you made a really great approach, is that GarageBand for iPad? You got a Like and a Suscriber.
Happy Birthday (belated of course)! Tbh, mimicking the YM2612 sound chip on the Sega Genesis with GarageBands limited presets is extremely challenging. However, it is also incredibly fun & rewarding especially when the delayed channel is almost perfected. Thank you for subscribing and watch this space!

@@MysticShiv3r I actually like to play sonic tunes using a DAW and a RYM2612 plugin, you can extract the exact same sounds and play them using MIDI, is amazing.
@@trmus My friend, I am currently trying to use FL Studio with Genny VST to make certain Sonic tracks but is proving quite challenging. GarageBand is very easy and user friendly.
However, to be fully faithful to the OSTs my goal (reached out for assistance to another RUclipsr who is better than me); is to make a successful rendition in FL Studio!

There is one note in the lead that's a bit weird, however, at around 1:26. The fifth note in that sequence is one semitone higher in the original (G instead of F#).
Otherwise, this is some good stuff!

wow that was amazing but bro, how do you make these songs, like what app do you use? Give me some tips...
I use GarageBand iOS. To make the songs I deconstruct them using Foobar2000 (Windows) that allows you to mute the #YM2612 Sega Genesis soundchip channels.
From that I build the song up per channel until I achieve the whole song.
I will occasionally look at Carpathia808's deconstructions RUclips uploads for inspiration and help as he is an expert at breaking songs down and his work helps me a tonne.
I do use FL Studio but am still learning it as it is far more complex than GarageBand and is a far more superior DAW.
Plan eventually is to MIDI the OST for all Sonic 2D era games with the original presets.

@@pausegill You are correct (Alchemy Synth > Dark Secrets Bass > Backlight Bounce > Poem preset (adjusted some parameters manually).

@@MysticShiv3r Yes. There are around 12 different mixes of it in game. You can choose to save people that add additional instruments in game. I think there is a version on youtube of every single version of the song but if you want to do the base version that's cool. the users with the versions are BlazingScore004
