I got the 13.5 mini at the end of last season. I’m a 19ish handicap who struggles with their regular driver and this thing has been a game changer for me. The nice thing is since this club is so forgiving it has actually got me to hit my regular driver a little more consistently whenever I do pull it out. Only played a few rounds with it so far but right now I will use the mini on narrow par 4s and 5s and pull out the driver for more forgiving 4s and 5s. I carry hybrids over woods to begin with so it’s almost also like having a free extra club on long par 5s when I’ll go driver then mini off the deck. Just took my A wedge out of my bag that I never use anyway.
I use it as my second tee option, mostly. I can hit any kid of tee shot with it. Also works off the deck, with a decent lie. So for me it's a strong 3-wood. On a shorter course, or if my driver is acting up, it's a viable driver replacement.
Got one (11.5 degree) on order. For me, I agree that (at 11.5 loft) “2-wood” is an apt description of the Mini. My 3-wood is 15 degree, so the Mini would sit right in the middle between that and a full driver.
This club is perfect for me because I hit my driver pretty well but have never been comfortable hitting my 3 wood, which usually ends up going the same distance as my 5 wood. The mini driver gives me the additional yardage I was looking for, slotting right between driver and 5 wood, while being surprisingly easy to hit off the deck. Driver replacement? No way. Strong 3 wood option? Absolutely.
As Gary P pointed out, 2 wood. Also somedays both the driver and 3/4 wood not performing. Great club off the tee and deck as a true fairway finder. Personally can drop a wedge and add to bag
I’ve had every new one ever since the first SLDR, not gone for the 300 yet as I think it’s getting too big. It’s far more consistent than the clubhouse on a stick club, sorry, driver.

What tee hight do you find is best?? and would you say you try and hit up at it or more down?

Brilliant, glad to hear the mini drivers is working well for you. Although it is a niche club, when it works well for someone it works very well. DC

Should be called a 2 wood
Out of a group of 6 regular golfers 2 older guys have them and seems to suit them.

Better test would of been I’ve you lofted it down to 11.5 degrees
