French fan here, you've summarized the situation very well, I'm gonna just add a few things about the club's situation :
    - Kisnorbo not speaking French was the last of Troyes' fans concern. The main problem was the guy was appointed when the club was 13th in ligue 1, and proceeded to not win a single game until the end of the season, finishing 19th and obviously going down. But the city Group decided to keep him as head coach for the next season. The dude had ZERO wins in (about) fifteen games, and only managed to win three times in half a season in Ligue 2, despite his squad being considered to be among the 5 best in the league
    - Also, when Kisnorbo arrived, he was replacing Burno Irles, who was the man who managed to keep Troyes in ligue 1 for the first time in a while, something like ten years. Before the 2021-2022 season Troyes were somewhat of a meme in France due to them being the quintessencial yo-yo club in the country, never being able so stay up in the top flight for more than a season. Irles was fired for no reason despite having archieved the club's greatest managerial accomplishment in the last decade or so.
    - And after Kisnorbo was fired, he was replaced with David Guion. Guion is known for two things : getting Troyes' local rival Reims back to ligue 1 and stabilizing them there, and then going to Bordeaux and being a terrible coach there. The fans weren't that mad because at this point anyone but Kisnorbo would do the job, but it was still a weird decision. To put it in perspective, imagine if, 5 years into the future, Kieran McKenna leaves Ipswich as a hero, then joins Everton and has the two worst seasons of his career there, and immediately after that he becomes Norwich's head coach. I think the fans wouldn't really feel great about it.
    - Dropping in the third tier is terrible news for the club's economic situation. Yes they are still backed by the CFG, but the National is a division where many clubs die economically. While Ligue 2 is still followed by local and even neutral fans in France and generates some money, the National is a semi-professional division, and it's only because because relegated clubs can temporarily keep their professional status after being relegated. And thus, the division is managed by the French Federation, not the French Professional League, and broadcasted for free on the FFF website. Which generates little to no TV revenue. And with the attendances dropping with the relegation, that's a lot of revenue loss.
    - And if they fail to promote back quickly, there will be no doubt that the DNCG (the organization that manages clubs finances and decides economic sanctions if necessary) will punish Troyes for that. Currently there are a few teams in the National that didn't expect to drop from Ligue 2 and are in trouble with their Finances : Sochaux (whom you might have heard of last summer), Dijon, or Nîmes (who are another absolute clown show of a club) need to go back up quickly if they don't want to be sent all the way down to the 5th tier of French football.
    - Ironically, Troyes could be saved by their coach's former club, Bordeaux. They are in so much economic trouble that they could be sent down in the National by the DNCG this summer, which would leave the 17th placed club to be chosen to stayed in Ligue 2. This happened last season with Annecy and Sochaux, I think you covered the story on your main channel.
Thanks for the video Zealand ! Nice to see you cover football in my country :)

I was wondering what's going on with Nimes, I remember them finishing 9th in Ligue 1 and i was a fan of them after that, but after the virus outbreak it's just getting worse every year. They had some decent players like Fomba, Briancon, Ripart etc. but it just went downhill. Then some time ago i read an article which said they were in big big financial problems and that some players had to sleep in their cars when they played away games because they couldn't afford hotels or whatever. I liked the club and the logo especially, i think its amazing so i took them in FM24 literally 2 daya ago and found out through Fm that they're rebuilding their old stadium which had 18k capacity down to 15k capacity, while right now playing in a 8k capacity, temporary stadium, which was built between 2020 and 2022. Apparently the owner bought the old stadium from the city or whatever and decided on the new one... The article also said that the stadium rebuilding will cost around 8mil so now I'm wondering how tf they have money for that but not for, probably, more important things? And now crazy enough, i come across this video and u talking about French football and mentioning them... If u see this comment could u please explain more to me because im interested.
      P. S. I guided them back to Ligue 2 in the first season and brought Opoku from Amiens, Claude Maurice from Nice and Kone (left back formerly of Lyon and Lille) all for free, so yeah life is good for them at least in my save...

They are a a fairly good side who are always stuck in the shadow of the other Istanbul teams being the 4th best İstanbul club always and top 10 or in the league commonly. (Expect for 2019-2020 where the big 3 all kinda collapsed and they won the league ahead of Trabzon, the usual 4th) They however are still one of the bigger clubs of Turkey and have the potential to be a future giant.
