- In this video, I am installing an Air Delete air ride suspension conversion kit with Rough Country upper control arms and Eibach springs, shocks and struts.
This kit removes the air ride suspension, lifts the front 3 inches and lifts the rear 1.75 inches while leveling the trucks ride height.
AirDelete Kit Used In Video:
I talked to Brendan at AirDelete about my install video and this is what he told me, "I've created a discount code MMB100 which will subtract $100 from the pre tax total of any conversion kit on our website."
This is a MegaMilesBen EXCLUSIVE discount...

I was going to have a shop install the delete kit but after watching you and all your tips and tricks I decided to give it a go. The shop wanted
$1,500 , I did all 4 sides in 5 hrs it wasn’t easy , but it was worth saving that money.
I referred to your video often while installing the new kit.
Thank you I truly appreciate it.
Rich
@richiesfrenchies8951 Glad it could help! Thanks for watching! Dont forget to go through and do a retorqe after a bit of driving.
Great video. Most in depth video I’ve been able to find on this. Appreciate you sir
Thank you for watching!
Dude, you are the most patient person I've ever seen. If that were me, tools would be getting tossed across the garage. Great video!
I have my moments of fits too now and then lol. Thanks for watching!
is getting the conversion kit necessary? could you essentially just go to local part store and get struts/shocks/springs for a Standard suspension?
@dansobral7 thats something youd want to check out on forums and such or maybe even the dealer. This is a clients car. I would imagine so but it probably wont sit as high. Once youve deleted the air suspension light and compressor, you can pretty much do what you want to the suspension.
About to do the same on my rebel next week. Do you think it can fit 37's or is 35 the biggest you would go? Stock rims.
@brandonstephenson5764 Im not really sure on that, this is a clients vehicle. Youd want to check with the place you get the lift. Most of them will say recommended tire size in their descriptions.
Hey, great video. Thanks for taking time to make it. I'm about to remove me RAM's air suspension. The only question I have is, what's the difference between this kit and getting a regular 4inch lift kit? Is there anything that makes it specific to the air system removal?
@matthewshackleton1071 I didnt do the research on this lift. My clients provide their own parts and decide what they want.
@@MegaMilesBen Ok. thanks for getting back to me.
I noticed a video on the bilstein kit from air delete you have to cut off that back bumper and install a new one . Why is that for that kit and not this one ?
Thats something youd want to ask AirDelete. Im not sure. This is the only AirDelete kit Ive installed at this time.
Oh my, where is my spring compressor????
@@John-vf9py you can rent them at the parts stores. I wanted to show the struggles without them.
20 dolar spring compresor vs fight to die
Na, a bigger guy could probably pull it off easier. Im about 140lbs lol.
The springs are tight, thats all. So its not like theyre gonna shoot out and cause harm or damage, theyre not under much pressure at that point.
Just wanted to show the struggles that could arise if you dont have compressors.
From my understanding when the delete is done to the computer you can go with any lift you want, it’s basically out of the system and has no idea you are altering anything. Awesome video.
Few questions how are the cv axels holding up to the new geometry with that lift? Mixed reviews on everything. I live in Wisconsin and tend to need 4wd for snow season I am usually on the road before the plows. Some people say it shakes really bad some say it grinds other say it’s perfectly fine. Just curious as to what you think or have herd… thanks
My client is very happy with it. I havent heard anything different at this time.
Just did the 3inch RC loaded strut and threw 4wd on for the first snow fall and it works fine… so for anyone wondering it works fine…
where is your shop??
@subzeronx4 Im located in Denver CO.
Thank you so much for the video! Also, it sounds like Steven Wright doing commentary lol love it!
LoL! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
Do you know where to get a Service/Shop Manual for the Air Suspension System for a 2015 Ram 1500 Sport?
haynes.com/en-us/
After that 50 miles, get the front end alignment done.. Anytime doing suspension work, the alignment can go out of spec.
@PRO4XKEV I always recommend an alignment with any suspension work.
Where you located?

Great video. I am having issues with my 2016 Rebel. Thinking about do the coilovers to my.
And after watching your video, I am so glad that I had you do it and that I didn’t try to do it myself.
You should bring the truck back, and have him do a quick after setting in video, to see how it looks. I'm considering ordering that kitty self . Or just seel the truck and buy another rebel without the air ride.
If I add that 35% spacer, is it going to make my truck look like it’s standing on its nose?
Im not sure what you mean.
Seeing you using the Hercules makes me wanna go buy some lol, it’s interesting bc I watched another video of a guy saying Hercules is trash and what not but clearly they aren’t .
Ive had them over a year and havent had one single problem yet. I really like them.
My Milwakees wouldve gone through 2 chargers and about 3 or 4 batteries by now.
I have review videos of the Hercules.
Where you buy the kit
I'm interested in doing the same on my RAM
This is a clients car. He got the kit through AirDelete. I have a link in the video description and also a special code from AirDelete thatll give you $100 off a lift kit.
Use Code: MMB100
The above code will give you $100 off their lift...

Great video and showing the struggles that go with this installation. Through the years I've added stuff to my 2000 Z71 and found like you the installation time on the instructions are usually not correct. Great advice on going back and checking torque on the different things. ✌🏻
Thanks for the input! Yea, I dont know where they come up with those install times lol.
Maybe with the vehicle already lifted up, wheels off, every part unpacked and checked, every tool youll need lined up, absolutely no struggles at all durring the job and well experienced at doing each specific lift.
I dont think they consider that a lot of people doing it are doing it for the first time.
Great video. I am looking at two different kits from Air Delete right now; one being the one you installed. Can you tell me what the purpose is of replacing the bump stops? Why not just keep the original bump stops on? Thank you in advance.
They give you the ability to add longer shocks and not run the risk of bottoming them out.
If you get a kit from AirDelete, make sure you use code MMB100 for $100 off.
Thank you@@MegaMilesBen
Great video, Ben!
Next time you might find that you'll get more flex and therefore an easier install to the rear if you disconnect both rear links and brake lines before trying to put the new springs in.
The brake lines had plenty of play after removing the 13mm bolt. I did one sway bar link at a time to give the axle some kinda support, Ive had them tip forward on me before (nose dive).
I couldve easily used spring compressors but not everyone is going to have them or be comfortable using them.
The second side went much easier once I figured where to place my pry bar.
Thanks for the heads up!
I plan to do the swap in the springtime on my Rebel as I'm getting tired of the air springs collapsing every couple of weeks.
Great video, they should give you a sponsorship and use your video on there website. Very informative.would have been nice to see the whole truck after the install.
Thank you!
Heres a before and after in my shop if it helps...

I’m obviously a little biased but great job!!!!
Well, it is your truck lol. Thank you sir!!
I really like your job!
Thanks for watching!
Can you do mine?? 2017 rebel just like that one .

Oh heck yeah!!
@@MegaMilesBen 5055 W 17th Ave?
After getting the dreaded suspension messages on my dash while driving almost cross country....i watched your video and ordered virtually the same kit...replacing it ASAP. Will post update! Thanks so much dude
I hope it helps!
Did you use code MMB100 for $100 off the kit?
@@MegaMilesBen I did...also another reason why I chose this kit!
@LRDV8R86 I think thats really cool they offered that for my videos viewers. Im glad you took advantage of it!
Hey, Im re re rewatching the video and noticed that the UCA's in the kit didnt have a grease fitting for the ball. what grease do you recommend? Im asking because mine do. Thanks again. Tomorrows the big day!@@MegaMilesBen
@LRDV8R86 amsoil synthetic polymeric.
Good luck!!
Im in the middle of a 6" rough country lift on a 2020 silverado. Ill be finishing tomorrow.
Gracias gringo! 😊
Thanks for watching!
If I buy the delete kit can I use a different lift kit instead of the one that comes with it
Im not sure what youre asking. The delete kit is a lift kit. Thatd be a question for the lift companies.
