- In this video I talk about trying different drawing styles and why that can help you to grow as an artist. This is a more animated and less rendered style than I normally draw in. I often try different variations within my work to spark creativity.
I what ways do you inspire creativity within your work? Share in the comments section below!

My drawing style is anime-ish but I'm still not good at it. I'll only move to next artsyle if I master anime-ish style

My style is right in the middle of Cartoony and Dramatic, but I prefer the Cartoony side because it makes everything far less restricted and fun.
I prefer your other more cross-hatched style, that's similar to how I render also except I feel I over-render/cross-hatch too often, but soon I will be getting some copics, so I will need to draw in this style (and then render with the copics).
Hello Robert. I am a new artist and I am semi familiar with the different software packages available for 2D art. I am curious at the 56 second mark you adjust the head in your sketch. How exactly did you do that? I did not notice any lasso or cut tool activated. Assume maybe you moved the individual layer the head was drawn on. Please clarify if you do not mind. I try to pick up on those little tricks to add to my work flow.
Thank you Rob.
This kind of ties in to doing Master Copies, in the end. I mean, if you're stagnating, it's because you're just using what you know. To get at "what you don't yet know" you have to go outside yourself, usually meaning looking at other people's art.
just subbed! btw what's the best brand for a drawing tablet/pad?
I love this style that you did here, I like the simplicity of it because it reads easier and it is easier on the eyes. It allows the viewer to fill in some of the lines themself.
His left arm is rotating in some weird ways. If you look at the hand independently it looks straight, but the hammer is on an angle in his hand. Then the hand to the forearm seems off...i think his hand should be rotated more towards his head if that makes sense.
Amazing stuff Rob!!
Sweet dude
Can you be my drawing teacher
Yeah, find his stuff on Udemy (and Gumroad) and get to work! :)
