These guys are phenomenal. Great musicianship all the way around. They take what bands like Tool, Porcupine Tree and Karnivool have done/are doing and have made it their own. I hope they can make their way to Texas soon.
Someone said "A little out of key here and there". Well yeah, it is LIVE. Some people seem to struggle these days with the difference between a studio album and a live performance. This is real music, not some pop R n B shite that most likely goes thru an auto tune desk before it hits the PA system. As far as live performances go, this is was outstanding in my opinion.
They are not... What you are hearing is a vocal compressor and possibly some EQ... and backing vocals triggered from somewhere else. Saw them live last week and there was deffo no "processing" happening there either. Edit: Actually, I see what you mean... How strange. *shakes fist*, ah well... still a shit hot band though.
***** I'm TesseracT's front of house engineer, and I can tell you there's definitely no 'processing' except compression, EQ, reverb and delay on the live vocals. As you said, there are backing vocals on the laptop, but what you hear from Ashe live is 100% him.
Yazoo There's delay (or 'echo') and reverb, as I said above (though they're generally mixed pretty quiet in this video) - but no harmony effects or tuning.
I used Zoom Q2HD. It has really good sound especially for loud events - musical rehearsals or live gigs. I use it to record rehearsals nad gigs of my band - Weesp (see the video description) The video quality of this camera is not good enough despite the fact that it records 1080p/30fps and 720p/60fps. It is good only if there is enough light.
TESSERACT is no joke I have listen to this band like over and over and over again to Me they RULE and are the Future of PROG this band is going to go fair there new CD RULES.........Move over RUSH meet Your new Band TESSERACT and yes there bass player is on a differnt planet with his 5 string bass OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@4:51 Tesseract combine science and rune magic into the third alchemy, and they give you the ability to do it too it's right there in the lyrics and music.
This performance was majestic. I was listening to it with friends during a car trip, they thought it was a cd record. Even with missing parts and some mistakes, still enjoyable. I think they won't make any good album like AS, Ashe gave them a much more freedom of movement among pentagram lines.
I'm not saying that Ashe is a bad vocalist. I love his vocals. I'm just saying it would be nice if they had someone to do the screams at live shows given that all of their older songs feature unclean vocals.
Biophonism I thought they added quite a lot to their music. I still prefer their first album because it just sounds better to my ear. They had the perfect timing on when to use clean and when not to. Having said that, I've gotten used to the new style and also like it, I just miss the dirt they'd rub into your face when they had to.
Wow, Ashe sounded rather off quite a few times within the first few minutes I actually listened. Like, he REALLY went off (like massively) in the first 2:50.
I love ashe's vocals, and he is a great singer! But he is not as good as the band, the instrumental are PERFECT, and don't tell me it's hard to sing TesseracT compered to play them.
Its common to be harder to play the instrumental parts of any band. Singing is something that comes more naturally to humans. If you are naturally good at it it doesn't take years to learn it. Being instantly good at an instrument is a lot less common. You cant really hold it against him.
Amazing. Saw them live with katatonia and their set was only 20 minutes. I had never heard of them. But after that short performance they gained a few new fans
I was at that show. I was downstairs drinking waiting for Katatonia, and as soon as I heard the intro to Retrospect, I had to stop what I was doing and watch them play. They're now one of my favorite bands. The beauty of a fantastic live performance...
that would be sick if both ashe and dan sang so they could do harmonies and shit
These guys are phenomenal. Great musicianship all the way around. They take what bands like Tool, Porcupine Tree and Karnivool have done/are doing and have made it their own. I hope they can make their way to Texas soon.
That's a hefty full hour set. Great to hear so much of both albums that they had at the time

Though the vocals here are processed. Sounds great to me though.

No harmony or delay on the vocals at all? Just sounds like it in parts. Maybe the backing vocals you mentioned.Never the less, it still sounds great.

Am I the only one who thinks they should play the full version of Singularity?
They should play their whole discography
the bassist grooves like he is in an incredible love making process.
one of the best live bands ever. period!
Still can't believe I got to open for their first show with Ashe on vocals. Best. Night. Ever.
finally something that you can actually respectably hear, thank you
Wow, did not expect hearing concealing fate with the new vocalist! Awesome! :D
This just popped up randomly in my list and I am sure glad that it did. These guys are freaking awesome
been waiting a while for a long live clip of these guys! thanks alot
You sir, deserve a medal. Very nice upload... this gives me the chills, these guys are so amazingly tight live.
Great sound.

Thanks for uploading probably the best bootleg of the Ashe era of Tesseract. Keep upping more shows!
I love this band.
Wonderful.
So awesome, and amazing sound and visual quality. Thank you
I am looking forward to hearing Retrospect live on the 19th..it gave me chills just seeing it on this!!
Aaaah, ''Nocturne'' track is cut off of the video... still very good, thanks for this!
I hear Karnivool and Tool all over this, absolutely loving it! Will be seeing them tomorrow, cannot wait!
Fucking love this band more than words can describe, this is ridiculous :P
.. And awesome to see Ashe singin the oldies!!!
Thanks for uploading this, made my night
Thanks man ! Good quality and a full live :)
You rules. Never saw them live and THIS makes me go nuts :)
Thank you!
Privacy must be an issue in Minsk as clearly all of their doors have been blown off.
I like both Dan and Ashe's voices, but I love the way Ashe can hold beautifully sung notes perfectly in tune!
Thank you bro for this
Thanks)
i agree, They all are kickass
AMOS! what a killer bassist
so fkng amazing! Thx for the vid bro!
06:35 FUCK yes.... That is why I am going to stand right at the front when I go!
Regret so much, that didn't get there!
I love ashe's voice
Great Video ! Thanks for recording this \m/

8:54 gave me goosebumps
True
Ashe just can't do uncleans. That's what I miss about Dan.
I don't consider that necessary... The music with his clean voice just make a new kind of music, just like creating their own identity.
I'm not saying that Ashe is a bad vocalist. I love his vocals. I'm just saying it would be nice if they had someone to do the screams at live shows given that all of their older songs feature unclean vocals.
Biophonism the point is that its weird to play their old songs live without screaming
Biophonism I thought they added quite a lot to their music. I still prefer their first album because it just sounds better to my ear. They had the perfect timing on when to use clean and when not to. Having said that, I've gotten used to the new style and also like it, I just miss the dirt they'd rub into your face when they had to.
ASleepySmurf the band is so much better with just cleans. uncleans tend to be wasted melodic potential
nice, but should have edited video so Nocturne wasn't cut in half.
suena letal,,,,,, na que decir
Судя по реакции народ очень любит первый альбом.
What camera did you use? awsome sound! :)
Awesome Band aswell!
there like a modern day Rush
deception is their best song, hands down.
this is like if the weeknd listened to metal!
Miss Dan Thompkins on the earlier songs though
Oh my... Somebody appears to have pressed the thumbs down button by mistake. That's okay, we know it was an accident, don't worry ;)
Ну скорее первую ипиху. Они не зря ее целиком играют, не смотря на массу нового материала после нее.
I love this band so much, and Ashe did a good job on this one ... but damn i hate those karaoke recorded backvocals ...
Do they really sound so bad?
Gotta love pitch correction at 4:54 too lol. They really tried to hide ashe’s inability to sing live with vocal effects.
Respect!!! He can`t sing all songs with high notes at once ,. are you crazy? Dude this is Ashe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tesseract!!!! the new TooL Wave
Ashe was such a good vocalist..
назовём наш город Djentsk
Wow, Ashe sounded rather off quite a few times within the first few minutes I actually listened.
Like, he REALLY went off (like massively) in the first 2:50.
damn, thy sound a lot like te mars volta
The new vocalist is so good! But Elliot is better haha xD
Hahaha, I was thinking what when I wrote this comment?! Dan Tompkins is a fucking beast!
Yep, but I think he deserve a better band.
I think everyone agree with you Hahaha
5:45 did not expect crowd to be so terrible at metronome fell apart in 3 sec 🤣
на самом интересном месте ТТ
+Genrywhat ну так прыгай на вторую часть) В описании
ох.. я даже не заметил =) спасибо!
Stupidly tight.
Sorry for that
their bass player is fucking scary...
Argus Filch hahaha
Actually, He looks like Hugh Grant haha
Awesome band, but that guitarist has some creepy moves.
TIL Belarussians have subpar rhythm
I love ashe's vocals, and he is a great singer! But he is not as good as the band, the instrumental are PERFECT, and don't tell me it's hard to sing TesseracT compered to play them.
I'm disagree. sing like Ashe, it is very complicated.
Yes it is! But try to play these songs on drums, or bass!
that's true, but try to sing like the vocalist, the tone it's very complicated, also is a clean voice
As a professional drummer whose girlfriend is a singer, we both second this post. a lot.
Its common to be harder to play the instrumental parts of any band. Singing is something that comes more naturally to humans. If you are naturally good at it it doesn't take years to learn it. Being instantly good at an instrument is a lot less common. You cant really hold it against him.
little out of key here and there.
