  • Prosecutor John Meadors pressed the jury to convict Alex Murdaugh of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul. “It’s common sense,” Meadors repeated throughout the intense rebuttal closing arguments while pointing out every reason the jury should believe the disgraced lawyer killed his wife and son. “Thank God for Bubba,” Meadors announced explaining that Murdaugh was caught lying about being with his family at the kennels before they were shot to death.

    It’s amazing to me that there are people who think he’s innocent after watching this trial. But then there are also people who believe OJ is innocent. Lots of ignorant and gullible people out there, I guess. But this one is pretty obvious to anyone with any common sense.

      I think it’s obvious, but I also think the state is doing a poor job of erasing reasonable doubt for the jury. We have access to way more information than the jury does, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a few wanted to let him walk.

    If he's truly not guilty he had bad, bad karma.
    Being accused of theft by his firm the same day his family gets killed, the murder weapons being the same as what Murdaughs' owned, owning a weapon that shoots 300 blackout which is not a real common caliber, going to visit at the kennels and being recorded, leaving his phone at the house when he goes to the kennel, leaving at or near the same time as the murders, speeding up driving past where Maggies phone was found, being seen with the blue raincoat with gun residue inside it, telling the housekeeper the wrong times, offering to help pay for the housekeepers wedding after his firm let him know they caught his thefts, forgetting to tell SLED about being at the kennel, in September his firm lets him know of the extent of what they have found and the next day he arranges a supposed hit on himself, claiming he had a $50,000 a week opioid addiction when those pills on the street are only $1
    That's a lot of bad karma for an innocent man.

Plus there would have been blood in the shower or on or around the hose and they have nothing. Also the jacket they said had gsr on it well it should have had blood as well nothing. The lady said he had a tarp not a coat and if he did it he's a lawyer he's smart enough not to put the coat in the closet for them to find. Come on use your brain they had no hard evidence on him. They did prove him to lie and steal but not kill. Also in the video Maggie sounds happy he would have already had to have the guns with him and you would think her tone would have been scared or off like they said it was normal. Plus they said he wanted to kill them to protect his life that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. How would that make his life better bc it wouldn't bc they found pills many times before and he never killed them. Use your brain it's really common since

    If he lied about not being at the kennels and was, there can't be any other reason to deny being there, meaning HE was there. Also I guess the clothes he had on that day are with the shotgun and the rifle that murdered them....where are the clothes, where are the guns. He has to at least know where his clothes are. Who among you have the clothes you had on yesterday dissappear today?

      They are at his parents property. Somewhere in or out of the shed no doubt. Phone pinged him there

    With everything that goes into a criminal trial…what is the reasoning with just one person hanging a jury??

    • @AdgTee21
      @AdgTee21 Год назад +7

      Because jurors have to be unanimous in order to convict after they’ve all heard the same evidence. There can be no doubt left in each juror’s mind. If one juror says not guilty then there was doubt. So they try again w a new jury.

    I'm not watching Netflix doc about this. I heard what the jury heard and the courtroom antics by defense and Alex's death stare and empty smiles. Justice is SERVED, y'all!

      If there’s anything to glean from the Netflix documentary, it’s all the information from Morgan and her family. She says plenty about Paul and her relationship with him and the Murdaughs.
