Lili being erased from history after the Void Century reminds me of the Female Pharaoh Hatshepsut, who had many of her statues and records destroyed by her grandson.
my theory is that cobra already gave vivi the letter, and that’s why she’s with morgan’s right now. morgan’s publishes the letter to the entire world and that kicks off more countries joining the revolution
Okay so here is a thought…. Vivi, when she is shown to be with Morgans, was not crying and he had mentioned how until a day ago she was crying. Vivi seemed as though she had some sort of newly discovered motivation after the death of her father. Could it be that by the time we have seen her she already read the letter and that’s what snapped her out of her grief for her father?
Now that you think about it, Vivi and Lili have parallels because to the world they both went missing and only a few know where they are after they went missing. One writes the letter and the other finds it.
I think the swords were not to pledge to not sit on the empty throan, but its to pledge loyalty to Imu Sama as the ruler of the world, thats why she didnt comply.

The fact that in the same chapter we have Charlos, a tenryuubito, being all creepy with Shirahoshi, a princess, is in my opinion a hint from from Oda that the whole Im/Lili situation is likely the same here or at least very similar, so I assume that Im was likely a creep that was obsessed with Lili and did...some neferious stuff to her which didn't allow her to come back to Alabasta.
I would very much like (well not 'like', but you know what I mean) Imu, or his ancestors r***** lili, the Nefelatri progenitor. Considering we are exploring some incredibly dark themes in recent times, and as you said in the same chapter we have Charlos trying to "ride" shirohoshi against her will. **** Is in some ways, the ultimate abuse of power & is used as a mechanism to devalue a human. For the entirety of Imus (if he is not immortal) to be the descendants of a ****ist is basically an allegory of the world governments '****' of the world with its heavenly tributes and unjust rule. The Nefelatri family being the ONLY family to not join the celestial dragons being the VICTIMS. Again is another allegory of the victims being pretty much isolated from their circle, and when they try to speak up against it, much like cobra is now, they end up being called a liar of worse, in some cases much like cobra now. Dead. Obviously it's a shonen. They won't outright say this, but I think the subliminal messages are there that this could of happened.

Imu is definitely qiqi lili's mom she wanted to become the queen of the whole world but lily wanted to leave and her son never wanted to have anything with her from the start
I think it would be really interesting if Imu is a descendent of Lili. Maybe their real name is Nefertari Imu. It would also make sense why Imu had a picture of Vivi because Vivi is where Imu would be right now if Lili did go back to Alabasta. Lilies also mean “mother” or “motherhood” and it would make sense if that was Lili's meaning because isn't the theory that Imu is named "Imu" because it's Umi, japanese for "sea" backwards. And Imu is being thought of as "Mother Sea," like Gaia is "Mother Earth." Because a big concept in mythology around the world is the primordial sea so Oda could be pulling Imu’s inspiration from that. I also think Imu being Vivi’s distant cousin makes Vivi even more likely to become a full-time member of the Straw Hats.
My theory is also mythology based but focused on the Greek myth of Uranus and Gaia. In Greek myth (where the names of the Ancient Weapons originates) Gaia is the goddess of Earth and mother and/or wife of Uranus the god of heaven with whom she had 18 children (18 children and 2 parents = 20, as in 20 founders, huh). Uranus hated his children (didn't Tom teach us to never hate out creations?) And locked them away inside of Earth, which is called Tartarus, something that Gaia hated. Gaia then told her youngest son Cronus to castrate Uranus, to separate Heaven from Earth. Cronus then became king and he sort of became his father, corrupted, he too hated his kids and swallowed them up, but was fooled and swallowed a stone instead of Zeus. Zeus then grew up without Cronus knowledge and grew strong enough to force Cronus to spit out his siblings which all waged war on Cronus and won. With Cronus defeated a new era began which was a golden age for mortals. Long story short... Lili is the body of Uranus that is controlled by one of the 20 founders, Cronus. In this case then Luffy would be representative of Zeus (Luffy recently grabbed a bolt of lightning). So I think that maybe Imu is one of the 20 founding kings thats forced a previous user of the Ope Ope no Mi to use the personality switch on Imu and Lili, so that Imu is in controll of Lilis body as Lilis body holds the powers of Uranus and is the National Treasure of Mary Geoise that Doffy talked about, and then that body was made immortal with the immortality operation. Which would make Law the key to defeating Imu, if the user of the Ope Ope no Mi not only can make someone immortal but take the immortality away from them too.
I still believe Cobra went into the meeting knowing he was going to die. Someone was listening in as well as Im. That, or he knew that asking the questions he is asking will have answers followed by death. A respected King being killed after going in to see the Gorosei would be tricky to explain?
I feel like our options are either Imu being Lily herself, her descendant, or some freak from back in the day who was in obsessed with her. I guess they could also be her husband. I feel like we've gotta capitalize on the idea that the Nefetari family did not put a sword before the Empty Throne.
I'm thinking that lily will turn out to be the first ruler of amazon lily and she got lost on the way back to Alabasta. This makes even more sense when u realize amazon lily is in the calm belt and there for is really difficult to travel to or from and that she probably got ship wreaked there. Lily being Imu is not true. Vivi family is viewed as traitors by the Gorosei who know who Imu is. Also why leave a letter to your own family & give information about the family of D? Then kill them when they question it? Zero sense. All I got from it is Imu is an immortal who knew Lily who left a big impression on him/her.

I have a theory regarding the world nobles. They were originally fighter type characters but due to being inactive for generations they look weaker and weaker as time goes by. But they are really strong or have the capacity to be strong example is doflamingo if he was raised in marejois he would not be looking like that.
Yeah I believe there's a kind of special Baptizing ritual that can be done on these Celestial Dragons that could put them at their natural biological Prime condition. It's something the Holy Knights & The Gorosei all know that they have as a trump card along with the Seraphim.
Haki is literally just willpower. A specific kind of mindset has real, tangible power in the world of One Piece. Realistically, all of nobles probably have conqueror's haki, because they genuinely believe that it is their birthright to rule.

Surprised more people aren’t talking about the possibility that the swords aren’t really a pledge to the empty throne but to Imu. After all, we only get told by the world government what the swords are for, and they don’t have the best track record with sharing the truth. Maybe Lily didn’t refuse to pledge to the empty throne but refused to pledge to Imu.
If Lily is the founder of Amazon Lily, there's a possibility that Vivi is related to some of characters from Amazon Lily, maybe Bao and her sisters or Shakky or Gloriosa.
Or the empress between Boa and Shakky which agewise could be Luffy's mom or Crocodile, personally i think Croc is Luffy's aunt, which makes Alabasta a huge complex family feud.
There are two thoughts I have about Lili's 'appearance' and the Gorosei's reactions. 1: What if Lili had children who were the ancestors of Boa Hancock and Nico Robin? 800 years is a LONG time to have possible descendants and who might be distantly related. 2: The Gorosei might be outright lying about not knowing about Lili's fate, OR they could be like the Jedi Council in the Prequel series "If it's not in our records, it doesn't exist." 800 years is a long time for information to be destroyed to keep whatever truth is hidden.
The 19 kings weren’t pledging allegiance that no one person was gonna be the true ruler , they pledged their loyalty to Imu by stabbing the swords in front of his throne and the one sword by Lili is because she wouldn’t pledge allegiance to Imu.

Interesting seeing oda bring the lore we heard in alabasta around the story with the celestial dragons and now the D We know oda was planning for crocodile to be the major point to his story before he expanded it so it's a great feel to long time fans to see.

Hey Tekking love your videos, I have an interesting Theory about Imu that I havent seen anyone else talk about anywhere. What if the reason the original 19 kings didnt return home is because they are all Imu. Imu is the collective intelligence of all 19 Kings who swore their lives to the World Government, No one king will ever sit atop of the throne but a collective maybe? Sort of an Imu is Legion kind of angle. Could have used some sort of Devil fruit or Tech from the ancient Kingdom. The Reason they could be obsessed with Lili could just be that she didnt join them and now they feel incomplete without her. Just a wild thought that popped into my head.
I have always wondered why is imu ruling the world when all the kings pledged not to sit in the throne. Maybe all of the monarch got betrayed by imu and got assassinated but lili escaped and wrote a letter and got killed later.
This could be possible, great thought. It made think that Imu may have been there before the monarchs even. Lili's brother inherting the throne does show that monarchs could have been killed and their family still carried on. The swords could just be trophies even, with one getting away.

Another possibility is that Lily was immortal (someone performing the immortality surgery on her or some other reason) and Imu had the body swapping power used to steal her immortal body. Doflamingo talked about how he wanted to use Law's devil fruit for its body swapping ability.
Adding to the Nefertari / Amazon Lily connexion : Vivi's weapon of choice, possibly a traditional weapon passed down the royal family line, are her peacock slashers, in Japanese Kujakkī slashers => there's the Kuja. Regarding the whole thing about the 20 Monarchs laying down their swords in front of the empty throne, I could also imagine a scene where, Lili, the last monarch to walk up to the throne, suddenly realizes that she in a room along with every single world ruler, and she's the only one to still have a sword in her hand... And thus Imu-sama took power.

Actually, that's incorrect. Lily is actually closest to the pronunciation. Lily's name is written in katakana. Lili/Riri would be simply two characters リリ. Similar to Vivi (ビビ). Her mother, Titi, needs 4 characters for hers, but the idea is the same (ティティ) Lily here is actually written as リリィ, which tells us that the 'i' sound at the end of her name is elongated rather than cut short like Vivi's is. Lily in Amazon Lily is written like this: リリー. Which while written differently, phonetically makes the same sound so both can be translated as "Lily". Because this is katakana, there can be multiple ways the English name is written but it would be pronounced closer to Lily rather than "LeeLee". You can write it as both versions if you want though. The scans talk about this too, and the official went with the usual spelling of Lily to probably avoid confusion on the pronunciation.

Something I've been thinking about, and it keeps making a lot of sense, is that the 20 kings we all pirates, or Pirate Kings who ruled over certain islands/territories. If you think about how the Tontatta describe times before the Riku family the terrorizing and enslaving is very much a pirate trait, the idea of demanding tribute that the Celestial Dragons do is also very much in line with pirates taking money for protection from themselves, and the Celestial Dragons are very much into doing what they want and taking what they want, because they have the power to do so. This would also explain why their origins needed to be scrubbed from the historical record as the people wouldn't accept a government run by pirates. This would also make the Nefertari family pirates, but we also know that from Oda the concept of good pirates (Peace Mains in the original Romance Dawn) and bad pirates (Morganeers) and the Nefertari family would likely have been more benevolent, or they were bad until Lily's time. The idea would be that the Lunarians were defeated at the beginning of the Void Century plunging the world into chaos where pirates took over carving up territories and having great ambitions (haki). The 20 kings could have been united by a Davy Back fight to oppose Joy Boy who wanted to free the world. Once they won they created the world government under Imu and scrubbed all record of their being pirates so they could declare themselves benevolent gods. If Lily was a pirate and she escaped to form Amazon Lily it would make sense why the Kuja became an island of pirates since they were founded by one.
Same scene, the 19 Kings plunge their swords in front of the Empty Throne. If Lily is Imu, she instead approaches the throne, looks back at the kings, smiles and sits on the throne instead

Here's my take. All the celestial dragons know about Imu. 800 years ago at the formation of the WG, one amongst them was chosen to receive immortality to properly watch over the world, as the celestial dragons of today would clearly never be able to do what Imu does. They obviously chose the strongest, smartest, and most tactically gifted of the group, Which was Lily. And the reason she never put her sword before the throne, besides being the ruler, was that for her the war never ended, only shifted to a new one. From a direct conflict, to an 800 year cold war. The story of her "returning to Alabasta" was always just that, a story/cover up that Lily took over and became Imu.
Interesting how much Alabasta predates the Void/Blank Century, yet it's still part of the World Government. Not to mention the Nefertari family is probably the longest- ruling dynasty in One Piece.
I still hold firm on the belief that imu is from the void century and was made immortal through the op op fruit. Perhaps someone closely related to joy boy but betrayed him at some point which resulted in the celestial dragons winning in the end.
The only thing that makes sense, is that the rune that Zoro, Chopper and Luffy found would have been the info they hid and kept underground and chosen by said brother to keep from the records.

this is a bit of a crazy theory but given how the guards could referred to an IT in phantom room it could refer to IM which adds to my theory that IM is based of Yimir the hermaphroditic giant from Norse creation myth and as the Japanese theorised the use of an ancient user of the hormone fruit to allow the Kuja Tribe to have babies and only female babies perhaps this user turned IM into a hermaphrodite and perhaps Oda used this famous quote of Queen Elizabeth the I to make Lilli a hermaphrodite "I know I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too".
If Lili is an ancestor of Vivi that looks a lot like her and follows the naming scheme of Vivi and Titi, wouldn’t that imply that Titi is actually the direct descendent of the Nefertari lineage and Cobra just married into the family? I mean clearly Vivi inherited her looks from her mom’s side so for them to be passed all the way from Lili that would mean that Titi is also a descendent of Lili right? That would mean that the family tree that was established before is wrong and Vivi inherits the Nefertari name from her mom’s side instead if her dad. It also implies that Cobra has only ruled Alabasta after Titi passed so at most 18 years. Or maybe it’s like the real life pharaohs were they constantly marry into their own family.-_-

I think we can make it work that Titi and Cobra are decendants of Lili, without any inc**t. Cobra probably was part of the rulers family, while Titi was part of one of the nobility families of Alabasta. Noble families are mostly connected among eachother bloodwise. Titi's family could be an offshoot of the Nefertari family, split 100-800 years ago, and that would lead that Titi, someone looking like Lili, and Cobra, a direct decendantof Lili, could produce Vivi
I think they are 800 years too late for that. The two places that the world government should have eliminated to keep their legacy going is Alabasta and Skypia.

It is interesting that you bring up Amazon Lily. I just got through watching a RUclipsr named 333VIL, who had a video talking about Luffy's mother maybe being the unnamed ruler of AL before Hancock. I know these are theories and we have to wait for Oda to confirm who IM is, and if Luffy's mother will ever be introduced. I am so excited for Vivi to reunite with the Strawhats, that is for sure 💙👒

The thing is, we only know that Lily mentioned the will of D. It might be a warning to her brother seeing as they are both royals hence, still a danger to them both, OR it could be a missive of hope. If Lily is Imu it's very likely the former, and she was erased from history so that no one may know of Im's existencr since their names and identities are tied. She might still hold some affection for her brother so she does not attack Alabasta or maybe some sort of compromise or promise was made there. Sorta leaning into Lily is Im but I guess I can see that it can be a massive red herring

The best stories have unsolved mysteries. LOTR/Silmarillion doesnt explain where Tom Bombadil came from, if Melkor actually had influence after his banishment or not, if Ungoliant ate herself and died or if she was capable of returning since her origins are unknown etc. Even if One Piece is over, even if all of Oda's notes are released, I do not expect to see all storythreads having an end. Like, while we can follow the story of Moda somewhat, but I honestly wouldnt mind knowing if she is dead or alive by the end of the story. Considering her popularity, in this case, I assume that fans will bother Oda too much about her to the point that Oda will have her status be known, but there are a lot of characters like Moda who could either be dead or alive without us needing to know. T-Bone is such a case, where his death didnt really matter originally, it was now used to show world events and in this specific case, he would indeed be the most likely to offer his own life if it meant it would feed many. He just happened to fit best, but by all means it could have been Nezumi, or Very Good. Both who have their status technically unknown. Both could be dead, both could be alive. The story could end and it could remain unconfirmed. And that would be absolutely the best way to end such a story.
If Lily is the one who founded Amazon Lily she’s probably the most Acomplished person in the world being the monarch of technically 2 nations and also helped start the world government

I do like hearing your perspective on the One Piece world Tekking. You probably already know this, but with the introduction of the Seraphim in Wano that has opened the door to the Land of the Gods being ruled by or gaurded by them in the past. If the word holds the same meaning in our world. They could have served the will of will of D and ruled the world before the celestial dragons. A D looks like a partial Eclipse and the Seraphim resemble such with the flames behind their white hair. This could explain why an immortal rules over the World Government as well, they are likely trying to keep peace using the same power somehow. Now I am not that well versed in One Piece History, but Imu could even be Joyboy. He could have seen the world needed order and that is why he became Imu by some means. The possible ritual that I have mentioned before could have fused him with the Will of the World/God. Imu's first apperance was looking at the old straw hat. He could just be a fraction, a shadow of his former self. That may be why Lili did not pledge to the empty throne after seeing freedom become the same thing they set out to destory. This all speculation and wild assumptions, again not a lore expert.
Imu being Umi (Sea in japanese) backwards has always been so interesting to me. Almost makes me wonder if Imu has a water devil fruit of some sort and that is part of the reason why Devil Fruit users cannot swim.

Sometimes, English readers can figure something out that Japanese readers cant, because of English wordplay/implications. While Imu backwards in Japanese would be Mui, in English it doesnt. It would be perfectly logical for Oda to hide Umi inside Imu by using the english language.

I agree. The world government may have trapped all the bigger sea kings in the grand line and flooded the earth to seperate the power of the other goverments. Probably through controling the will of the world/God given the Seraphim may have ruled the earth at one point.
we may have to go back even further in history.... like 5000 years ago, around the founding of Ohara and 4000 years ago when Alabasta was founded, to get the true history. I think that the Void Century isn't the only missing time frame they've got. That maybe the Void Century, The Founding of the Kingdoms, Joyboy, and the Ancient Weapons and all of that are linked to a time well before recorded (founding of Ohara) history.... like what happened to their world, or even if it is the original world of humanity. Where did the Lunarians/Skipians come from and why did they have such advanced technology, and have they been in power since 5000 years ago up until the Void Century. The Ancient Kingdom sounds more like the Old Republic, with diverse races and peoples in power but became old, bloated, and corrupted.... The World Government comes along with their Humans Only monarchy and is basically The Empire... Dragon's Revolution wanting to found The New Republic and bring back the voices of the many, forgotten, and diverse.
If Imu is Lili (or her daughter Mimi) it could be the Kaguya twist done right. For fun theory: Let´s say Kings of the World were powerwise 20 top chacters of Void Century who relied on their strength to take down previous corrupt system. Great conflicts in One Piece world are always decided based on individual strength of small number of people, rather than conventional armies. This must have been so in Void Century as well. And if evil previous system was Lunarian nation all-along, considering how powerful lunarians are, then 20 monarchs must´ve been strong indeed. After the war, they have big, One-Piece style party as always with dance (Nika?), alcohol and merrymaking. Lili, however, does not drink at all for the entire night. In hangover day, kings and queens pledge their weapons for the Empty Throne as a sign they will never use violence again. At that moment in the ceremony, Lili, only sober person, would have had the golden chance to kill her un-armed collegues, if she was only one still carrying a blade and others had their guard down. She would also violate probably biggest taboo in One-Piece, betraying trust of people who you have drank and partied with. It would be like Zoro killing everyone when they are incapacited after the party in Dressrosa or Wano. Oda was famously inspired by Red Wedding, so it would be interesting if World Government´s roots lie in betrayal of similar caliber, aka, betrayal in celebratory event.. After that, Lili would just settle down on Empty Throne and no-one could make her leave, considering everyone who were capable of defeating her are now dead. Only children of the 20 Kings remained, and Imu, Mother Umi or Mother Sea, probably raised them as Celestial Dragons and they became pampered tyrants we know them now. So first generation of celestial dragons considered her a mother figure of sorts. If Luffy and Blackbeard should symbolize (light)positive and (black)destructive freedom to its fullest, then Imu should symbolize (black)negative control, while her descendant Vivi symbolizes (white)positive control that makes civilized life possible. (Luffy would not be a good option to run a nation.) In this context Imu being a woman is not surprising, as Oda has said Luffy´s mother should not make appearence because mother-figures in adventure story would remove freedom from the main character. Perhaps it was subtle hint that a mother-figure did indeed remove freedom from the world and Mother Umi´s "children", celestial dragons, symbolize her negative control all over the world. Only pirates, who operate beyond the law, escape tendrils of Imu´s negative control.
This an amazing theory. I completely agree with the idea that the Lunarians once the world. The world may have been mostly land and the World Government altered it so that the lunarians could not fly around freely. The mother of Celestial Dragons for Imu is really cool. It would explain why they see everyone as beneath them. Many things are like freedom, only a generation away. Their ideaologies coukd have been warped easily as they had no connection to thier families that saved the world. Finally, I wasn't aware of the Oda mother character freedom connection. This would be really cool symbolism for a character aiming to be the saviour of the world by taking away freedom.
So if we carry on the thought of being Egyptian themed and also amazon lily ties you could maybe say that the snake fruit imu poses could make mythical snake deity model "apep" an Egyptian foe of the sun god in this case luffy

The question people should be asking but I haven’t seen yet is how was the government able to beat joyboy. Cause if he was basically luffy way back, then he’d have the ability to have people join him outta their own free will. That’s what was said about luffy, his most powerful trait is he wins the hearts of people and gets them to join his side. That plus the nika nika fruit being used by somebody at its highest level is almost impossible to beat. So I’m guessing they used some underhanded method to beat them. And that’s gonna be the same situation the straw hats will be in end game
I don’t think lily is Im Sama but I think there is connection between toki and lili I think lili was the one who send toki into future telling her to Guide joyboy. What I think is that im Sama maybe wanted a queen however lily was in love with joyboy and couldn’t take that wg has killed him leading her betrayal. The Amazon lily and alabastar relation is the least I would thought of, because THAT is the time he started to write this story seriously, so He would have already made a structure for it. Lili being erased from history after the Void Century reminds me of the Female Pharaoh Hatshepsut, who had many of her statues and records destroyed by her grandson.

Vivi, when she is shown to be with Morgans, was not crying and he had mentioned how until a day ago she was crying. Vivi seemed as though she had some sort of newly discovered motivation after the death of her father. Could it be that by the time we have seen her she already read the letter and that’s what snapped her out of her grief for her father?
Or if that Vivi we saw isn't actually her but Imu in disguise due to their Resemblance.....

Now that you think about it, Vivi and Lili have parallels because to the world they both went missing and only a few know where they are after they went missing. One writes the letter and the other finds it.
I think the swords were not to pledge to not sit on the empty throan, but its to pledge loyalty to Imu Sama as the ruler of the world, thats why she didnt comply.

The fact that in the same chapter we have Charlos, a tenryuubito, being all creepy with Shirahoshi, a princess, is in my opinion a hint from from Oda that the whole Im/Lili situation is likely the same here or at least very similar, so I assume that Im was likely a creep that was obsessed with Lili and did...some neferious stuff to her which didn't allow her to come back to Alabasta.

For the entirety of Imus (if he is not immortal) to be the descendants of a ****ist is basically an allegory of the world governments '****' of the world with its heavenly tributes and unjust rule.
The Nefelatri family being the ONLY family to not join the celestial dragons being the VICTIMS. Again is another allegory of the victims being pretty much isolated from their circle, and when they try to speak up against it, much like cobra is now, they end up being called a liar of worse, in some cases much like cobra now. Dead.

I think it would be really interesting if Imu is a descendent of Lili. Maybe their real name is Nefertari Imu. It would also make sense why Imu had a picture of Vivi because Vivi is where Imu would be right now if Lili did go back to Alabasta. Lilies also mean “mother” or “motherhood” and it would make sense if that was Lili's meaning because isn't the theory that Imu is named "Imu" because it's Umi, japanese for "sea" backwards. And Imu is being thought of as "Mother Sea," like Gaia is "Mother Earth." Because a big concept in mythology around the world is the primordial sea so Oda could be pulling Imu’s inspiration from that. I also think Imu being Vivi’s distant cousin makes Vivi even more likely to become a full-time member of the Straw Hats.

My theory is also mythology based but focused on the Greek myth of Uranus and Gaia. In Greek myth (where the names of the Ancient Weapons originates) Gaia is the goddess of Earth and mother and/or wife of Uranus the god of heaven with whom she had 18 children (18 children and 2 parents = 20, as in 20 founders, huh). Uranus hated his children (didn't Tom teach us to never hate out creations?) And locked them away inside of Earth, which is called Tartarus, something that Gaia hated. Gaia then told her youngest son Cronus to castrate Uranus, to separate Heaven from Earth. Cronus then became king and he sort of became his father, corrupted, he too hated his kids and swallowed them up, but was fooled and swallowed a stone instead of Zeus. Zeus then grew up without Cronus knowledge and grew strong enough to force Cronus to spit out his siblings which all waged war on Cronus and won. With Cronus defeated a new era began which was a golden age for mortals. Long story short... Lili is the body of Uranus that is controlled by one of the 20 founders, Cronus. In this case then Luffy would be representative of Zeus (Luffy recently grabbed a bolt of lightning). So I think that maybe Imu is one of the 20 founding kings thats forced a previous user of the Ope Ope no Mi to use the personality switch on Imu and Lili, so that Imu is in controll of Lilis body as Lilis body holds the powers of Uranus and is the National Treasure of Mary Geoise that Doffy talked about, and then that body was made immortal with the immortality operation. Which would make Law the key to defeating Imu, if the user of the Ope Ope no Mi not only can make someone immortal but take the immortality away from them too.

I have a theory regarding the world nobles. They were originally fighter type characters but due to being inactive for generations they look weaker and weaker as time goes by. But they are really strong or have the capacity to be strong example is doflamingo if he was raised in marejois he would not be looking like that.
Yeah I believe there's a kind of special Baptizing ritual that can be done on these Celestial Dragons that could put them at their natural biological Prime condition. It's something the Holy Knights & The Gorosei all know that they have as a trump card along with the Seraphim.
Haki is literally just willpower. A specific kind of mindset has real, tangible power in the world of One Piece. Realistically, all of nobles probably have conqueror's haki, because they genuinely believe that it is their birthright to rule.

After all, we only get told by the world government what the swords are for, and they don’t have the best track record with sharing the truth. There are two thoughts I have about Lili's 'appearance' and the Gorosei's reactions.
1: What if Lili had children who were the ancestors of Boa Hancock and Nico Robin? 800 years is a LONG time to have possible descendants and who might be distantly related.
2: The Gorosei might be outright lying about not knowing about Lili's fate, OR they could be like the Jedi Council in the Prequel series "If it's not in our records, it doesn't exist." 800 years is a long time for information to be destroyed to keep whatever truth is hidden.

Hey Tekking love your videos, I have an interesting Theory about Imu that I havent seen anyone else talk about anywhere. What if the reason the original 19 kings didnt return home is because they are all Imu. Imu is the collective intelligence of all 19 Kings who swore their lives to the World Government, No one king will ever sit atop of the throne but a collective maybe? Sort of an Imu is Legion kind of angle. Could have used some sort of Devil fruit or Tech from the ancient Kingdom. The Reason they could be obsessed with Lili could just be that she didnt join them and now they feel incomplete without her. Just a wild thought that popped into my head.

I have always wondered why is imu ruling the world when all the kings pledged not to sit in the throne. Maybe all of the monarch got betrayed by imu and got assassinated but lili escaped and wrote a letter and got killed later.
This could be possible, great thought. It made think that Imu may have been there before the monarchs even. Lili's brother inherting the throne does show that monarchs could have been killed and their family still carried on. The swords could just be trophies even, with one getting away.

Another possibility is that Lily was immortal (someone performing the immortality surgery on her or some other reason) and Imu had the body swapping power used to steal her immortal body. Doflamingo talked about how he wanted to use Law's devil fruit for its body swapping ability.

Regarding the whole thing about the 20 Monarchs laying down their swords in front of the empty throne, I could also imagine a scene where, Lili, the last monarch to walk up to the throne, suddenly realizes that she in a room along with every single world ruler, and she's the only one to still have a sword in her hand... And thus Imu-sama took power.

Actually, that's incorrect. Lily is actually closest to the pronunciation. Lily's name is written in katakana. Lili/Riri would be simply two characters リリ. Similar to Vivi (ビビ). Her mother, Titi, needs 4 characters for hers, but the idea is the same (ティティ)
Lily here is actually written as リリィ, which tells us that the 'i' sound at the end of her name is elongated rather than cut short like Vivi's is. Lily in Amazon Lily is written like this: リリー. Which while written differently, phonetically makes the same sound so both can be translated as "Lily". Because this is katakana, there can be multiple ways the English name is written but it would be pronounced closer to Lily rather than "LeeLee". You can write it as both versions if you want though. The scans talk about this too, and the official went with the usual spelling of Lily to probably avoid confusion on the pronunciation.

- Now I do like the idea that Lili & Amazon Lily have a connection but before this I thought the reason why Amazon Lily was called this because it’s a pun on the Japanese word for Lily that being “Yuri” which fits with the Kuja are in love with Hancock
Something I've been thinking about, and it keeps making a lot of sense, is that the 20 kings we all pirates, or Pirate Kings who ruled over certain islands/territories. If you think about how the Tontatta describe times before the Riku family the terrorizing and enslaving is very much a pirate trait, the idea of demanding tribute that the Celestial Dragons do is also very much in line with pirates taking money for protection from themselves, and the Celestial Dragons are very much into doing what they want and taking what they want, because they have the power to do so. This would also explain why their origins needed to be scrubbed from the historical record as the people wouldn't accept a government run by pirates. This would also make the Nefertari family pirates, but we also know that from Oda the concept of good pirates (Peace Mains in the original Romance Dawn) and bad pirates (Morganeers) and the Nefertari family would likely have been more benevolent, or they were bad until Lily's time.
The idea would be that the Lunarians were defeated at the beginning of the Void Century plunging the world into chaos where pirates took over carving up territories and having great ambitions (haki). The 20 kings could have been united by a Davy Back fight to oppose Joy Boy who wanted to free the world. Once they won they created the world government under Imu and scrubbed all record of their being pirates so they could declare themselves benevolent gods. If Lily was a pirate and she escaped to form Amazon Lily it would make sense why the Kuja became an island of pirates since they were founded by one.

The story of her "returning to Alabasta" was always just that, a story/cover up that Lily took over and became Imu.
I can definitley this as a possiblilty. It is a cool idea that one of the founding members had to take on the role of the immortal Imu to keep peace.

Interesting how much Alabasta predates the Void/Blank Century, yet it's still part of the World Government. Not to mention the Nefertari family is probably the longest- ruling dynasty in One Piece.
I still hold firm on the belief that imu is from the void century and was made immortal through the op op fruit. Perhaps someone closely related to joy boy but betrayed him at some point which resulted in the celestial dragons winning in the end.

1. What if the 20 monarch didn’t pledge their allegiance to the empty throne but instead pledged their allegiance to Imu and they just left it empty symbolically.
2. What if Imu was one of the original 20 monarchs and had the OP OP fruit surgery to live forever and just rules from the background since they’re an OG
this is a bit of a crazy theory but given how the guards could referred to an IT in phantom room it could refer to IM which adds to my theory that IM is based of Yimir the hermaphroditic giant from Norse creation myth and as the Japanese theorised the use of an ancient user of the hormone fruit to allow the Kuja Tribe to have babies and only female babies perhaps this user turned IM into a hermaphrodite and perhaps Oda used this famous quote of Queen Elizabeth the I to make Lilli a hermaphrodite "I know I have the body but of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England too".

If Lili is an ancestor of Vivi that looks a lot like her and follows the naming scheme of Vivi and Titi, wouldn’t that imply that Titi is actually the direct descendent of the Nefertari lineage and Cobra just married into the family? I mean clearly Vivi inherited her looks from her mom’s side so for them to be passed all the way from Lili that would mean that Titi is also a descendent of Lili right?
That would mean that the family tree that was established before is wrong and Vivi inherits the Nefertari name from her mom’s side instead if her dad. It also implies that Cobra has only ruled Alabasta after Titi passed so at most 18 years.
Or maybe it’s like the real life pharaohs were they constantly marry into their own family.-_-
The Pharaohs would marry and the spouse would generally be the co-ruler. So Cobra and Titi would have ruled together until she died.
It could have been a branch family that remarried into the main Nefertari line hundreds of years later.
Could be that there are a lot of unrelated women with that naming pattern and the kings have a hereditary thing for that.

I think we can make it work that Titi and Cobra are decendants of Lili, without any inc**t. Cobra probably was part of the rulers family, while Titi was part of one of the nobility families of Alabasta. Noble families are mostly connected among eachother bloodwise. Titi's family could be an offshoot of the Nefertari family, split 100-800 years ago, and that would lead that Titi, someone looking like Lili, and Cobra, a direct decendantof Lili, could produce Vivi

It is interesting that you bring up Amazon Lily. I just got through watching a RUclipsr named 333VIL, who had a video talking about Luffy's mother maybe being the unnamed ruler of AL before Hancock. I know these are theories and we have to wait for Oda to confirm who IM is, and if Luffy's mother will ever be introduced. I am so excited for Vivi to reunite with the Strawhats, that is for sure 💙👒

The thing is, we only know that Lily mentioned the will of D. It might be a warning to her brother seeing as they are both royals hence, still a danger to them both, OR it could be a missive of hope. If Lily is Imu it's very likely the former, and she was erased from history so that no one may know of Im's existencr since their names and identities are tied. She might still hold some affection for her brother so she does not attack Alabasta or maybe some sort of compromise or promise was made there. Sorta leaning into Lily is Im but I guess I can see that it can be a massive red herring

The best stories have unsolved mysteries. LOTR/Silmarillion doesnt explain where Tom Bombadil came from, if Melkor actually had influence after his banishment or not, if Ungoliant ate herself and died or if she was capable of returning since her origins are unknown etc.
Even if One Piece is over, even if all of Oda's notes are released, I do not expect to see all storythreads having an end. Like, while we can follow the story of Moda somewhat, but I honestly wouldnt mind knowing if she is dead or alive by the end of the story. Considering her popularity, in this case, I assume that fans will bother Oda too much about her to the point that Oda will have her status be known, but there are a lot of characters like Moda who could either be dead or alive without us needing to know.
T-Bone is such a case, where his death didnt really matter originally, it was now used to show world events and in this specific case, he would indeed be the most likely to offer his own life if it meant it would feed many. He just happened to fit best, but by all means it could have been Nezumi, or Very Good.
Both who have their status technically unknown. Both could be dead, both could be alive. The story could end and it could remain unconfirmed. And that would be absolutely the best way to end such a story.

I do like hearing your perspective on the One Piece world Tekking. You probably already know this, but with the introduction of the Seraphim in Wano that has opened the door to the Land of the Gods being ruled by or gaurded by them in the past. If the word holds the same meaning in our world. They could have served the will of will of D and ruled the world before the celestial dragons. A D looks like a partial Eclipse and the Seraphim resemble such with the flames behind their white hair. This could explain why an immortal rules over the World Government as well, they are likely trying to keep peace using the same power somehow. Now I am not that well versed in One Piece History, but Imu could even be Joyboy. He could have seen the world needed order and that is why he became Imu by some means. The possible ritual that I have mentioned before could have fused him with the Will of the World/God. Imu's first apperance was looking at the old straw hat. He could just be a fraction, a shadow of his former self. That may be why Lili did not pledge to the empty throne after seeing freedom become the same thing they set out to destory. This all speculation and wild assumptions, again not a lore expert.

While Imu backwards in Japanese would be Mui, in English it doesnt. It would be perfectly logical for Oda to hide Umi inside Imu by using the english language.

I agree. The world government may have trapped all the bigger sea kings in the grand line and flooded the earth to seperate the power of the other goverments. Probably through controling the will of the world/God given the Seraphim may have ruled the earth at one point.
we may have to go back even further in history.... like 5000 years ago, around the founding of Ohara and 4000 years ago when Alabasta was founded, to get the true history. I think that the Void Century isn't the only missing time frame they've got. That maybe the Void Century, The Founding of the Kingdoms, Joyboy, and the Ancient Weapons and all of that are linked to a time well before recorded (founding of Ohara) history.... like what happened to their world, or even if it is the original world of humanity.

For fun theory: Let´s say Kings of the World were powerwise 20 top chacters of Void Century who relied on their strength to take down previous corrupt system. Great conflicts in One Piece world are always decided based on individual strength of small number of people, rather than conventional armies. This must have been so in Void Century as well. And if evil previous system was Lunarian nation all-along, considering how powerful lunarians are, then 20 monarchs must´ve been strong indeed.
After the war, they have big, One-Piece style party as always with dance (Nika?), alcohol and merrymaking. Lili, however, does not drink at all for the entire night.
In hangover day, kings and queens pledge their weapons for the Empty Throne as a sign they will never use violence again. At that moment in the ceremony, Lili, only sober person, would have had the golden chance to kill her un-armed collegues, if she was only one still carrying a blade and others had their guard down. She would also violate probably biggest taboo in One-Piece, betraying trust of people who you have drank and partied with. It would be like Zoro killing everyone when they are incapacited after the party in Dressrosa or Wano.
Oda was famously inspired by Red Wedding, so it would be interesting if World Government´s roots lie in betrayal of similar caliber, aka, betrayal in celebratory event..
After that, Lili would just settle down on Empty Throne and no-one could make her leave, considering everyone who were capable of defeating her are now dead.
Only children of the 20 Kings remained, and Imu, Mother Umi or Mother Sea, probably raised them as Celestial Dragons and they became pampered tyrants we know them now. So first generation of celestial dragons considered her a mother figure of sorts.
If Luffy and Blackbeard should symbolize (light)positive and (black)destructive freedom to its fullest, then Imu should symbolize (black)negative control, while her descendant Vivi symbolizes (white)positive control that makes civilized life possible. (Luffy would not be a good option to run a nation.)
In this context Imu being a woman is not surprising, as Oda has said Luffy´s mother should not make appearence because mother-figures in adventure story would remove freedom from the main character.
Perhaps it was subtle hint that a mother-figure did indeed remove freedom from the world and Mother Umi´s "children", celestial dragons, symbolize her negative control all over the world. Only pirates, who operate beyond the law, escape tendrils of Imu´s negative control.
This an amazing theory. I completely agree with the idea that the Lunarians once the world. The world may have been mostly land and the World Government altered it so that the lunarians could not fly around freely.
The mother of Celestial Dragons for Imu is really cool. It would explain why they see everyone as beneath them. Many things are like freedom, only a generation away. Their ideaologies coukd have been warped easily as they had no connection to thier families that saved the world.
Finally, I wasn't aware of the Oda mother character freedom connection. This would be really cool symbolism for a character aiming to be the saviour of the world by taking away freedom.

The question people should be asking but I haven’t seen yet is how was the government able to beat joyboy. Cause if he was basically luffy way back, then he’d have the ability to have people join him outta their own free will. That’s what was said about luffy, his most powerful trait is he wins the hearts of people and gets them to join his side. That plus the nika nika fruit being used by somebody at its highest level is almost impossible to beat. So I’m guessing they used some underhanded method to beat them. And that’s gonna be the same situation the straw hats will be in end game

Of all the thing I thought oda just made up out of nothing as we goes with the story. The Amazon lily and alabastar relation is the least I would thought of, because THAT is the time he started to write this story seriously, so He would have already made a structure for it.
