I just realized the picture that is of Sabo standing over Cobra in the news... That picture was taken in the same room as 5 transformed Gorosei and Imu. His Den Den Mushi was in the room the whole time Morgans knows, and he leaked that he knows to the Gorosei by putting that picture in the paper
I wouldn't be surprised if Morgan's already knew at least some of this but is smart enough to sit on it til the right time. Wait til they're so busy dealing with luffy and world events they don't have any assassin's to send after you when you print that edition
Morgans knowing about Imu or about anything that they discussed in the room, is a much greater blow than anything Luffy has done. He can literally bring the Government to its knees over night but as a wise bird, he is being cautious. Since Imu does not know what his location is, he cannot be killed but Imu can purge the whole planet. That is assuming Morgans knows about what happened to Lulusia. However, he can also speculate what was behind the explosion. There is also the possibility that Morgans simply does not have good evidence so he may be scaring Imu into coming out more.

My guess is that Morgan's "reached out for comment" on the death of Cobra, and was told sabo did it. Put yourself in his shoes. You have 2 informants with you. You have a story you want to piece together that could be the biggest story of all time. If you publish, right now, "gorosei killed cobra" or godforbid "empty throne puppet master killed cobra" you are going to be hunted down. So, let's put the governments headlines in the paper for now. Plus, this has a side effect of the government potentially being a bit lax on you when you would later publish a photo of a (kind of) literal god who just took down 2 yonkou. Meanwhile, you can fly the two informants to said yonkou to meet him. And you know the man you said murdered cobra will likely end up there as well. At which point you, as a journalist, can start piecing together your magnum opus. Your "one piece" of headlines. The headline to rule all headlines. That or he truly is a chaotic feller who gives no shits about anything other than front page views / clicks! I think both would be very in character!
I like that this chapter kind of confirms that had Im not shown up Cobra may have lived. Which explains partly the Elders panic last chapter. They weren’t intending to kill Cobra. And Im showing up meant they had to.

Clearly there is a connection between Roger stating that they were too early at laugh tale and that Imu mentioned that more D’s are popping up more recently. Which is also why Shanks is making his move now to find the One Piece because he knows this is the era Roger was too early for

The reason Sabo wasn't noticed is because observation haki isn't as passive as some people believe, you have to be expecting a threat to forsee it like how Flampe got the drop on Luffy without him OR Katakuri noticing immediately, after they got dropped in on by Sabo they were much more tuned in on other potential invaders and so sensed Wapol.

I kind of like how in the Viz translation that came out today, Wapol reaction to Cobra’s death is “I hated the guy… but I’m not so low that I’d celebrate [his death]!” Just feels like a great example of the “even evil has standards” trope.
I wonder if Lili had the Paw Paw fruit? There's no way she could move giant stone structures under Imu's nose. So I think teleportation from the Paw Paw makes the most sense. It could tie to the Kuma story and thematically to what he did to the Straw Hats in Sabaody.
Boa’s devil fruit was previously awakened and was used to turn OG Joy Boy (a giant that wore the straw hat in freezer scene with Imu) and turned his body into the poneglyphs, red aka road ones being his heart
I’d say the Gorosei and Imu weren’t expecting any threats in the literal core of the World Government’s capital, so they weren’t using Haki at all; but once Sabo put them on high alert, they sorted that issue and then noticed more folks nearby that also needed to be aggressively sorted 🤣
I don't think they're awakened devil fruit users, I think it's like they're different beings entirely or else Sabo wouldn't say "I didn't think hell was located here at the top of the world".
I agree that there is a connection between the void century’s name and Imu. Instead of the void century inspiring Imu’s name though, I think it’s the other way around. The void century is really called that because it’s Imu’s century similar to how Blackbeard says at Marineford that this is his age now.
I only have one wish, next chapter Sabo needs to give Vivi a piece of Luffy's Vivre card and the message to bring to him. There's no doubt in my mind anymore, she's coming back to the crew because no place in the world is safe for her until the WG is fully destroyed

I always assumed observation haki wasn't automatic, just like armament. You have to either actively use it or train yourself to keep it up constantly, like Katakuri. That would explain why Imu would sense Wapol but not Sabo. He was surprised by Sabo because he wasn't using obs. haki, but once they started to physically engage and started using haki, he could sense Wapol.
Why even bother coming up with such an ability if it has to be turned on or off? That means Shanks could potentially be injured by a regular bullet or sword from behind and I'd hate that
After 1085 chapters, it finally feels like we’re actually getting to the end of the story. Questions are being answered, voids are being filed, characters are talking! I think imu and gorosei never expected someone to be able to enter the room and since they do not engage in battle much thier observation haki was dormant and also add sabo's very good stealth to that it can be made sense of why they couldnt sense him and after short skirmish while killing cobra and chasing sabo thier haki got energized and wapol being wapol shaking with shock and fear and zero stealth was found out immediately.

This is also shown in multiple other sentences, as they actually use the (rare and usually rude) command conjugation.

Just a slight thing to add about Sabo's attack. Smothered Mate is a chess term in which the king is unable to move (due to being surrounded by other pieces on the board) and comes under attack resulting in checkmate. It happens very rarely in actual chess games but it's one of the neater checkmates. I'd love for Sabo to also have an en passant attack to go on the theme of chess attacks
The shadow that killed Cobra came from Imu. Then Imu unleashed literal hell from the Void he draws his power from. But Imu clearly has some kind of devil fruit and it's just bizzare that no one has realized that. Imu's angry eyes are huge over the top of all these shadow blobs the whole time. It's going to be a b*tch to fight. The True Sun God is literally the only person alive that even has a chance against it.

So in this chapter we establish... - Fujitora continues to sabotage his fellow marines - We are getting ideas behind the D, and why Lily was erased from the history books - We establish that all the Gorosei have Devill Fruits, and were able to take Sabo's attack with no issue - Imu also may have a Zoan ability, considering he literally eats Sabo's fire Man Luffy and the Strawhats are in for the fight of their lives in this final arc, hell we may see Saturn fight when we return to Egghead.
He definitely didn't sabotage his own side but rather helped the RA captains get away maybe by summoning a small meteor or something which Greenbull told him not to do in last ch so that's why he was pissed

It's been a long time since a chapter has left me this stunned, after I finished reading it I just had to take 5 to let it all wash over, it's just so bizarre to think how far we've come, we started with a bouncy kid leaving his tiny village in a dingy and over time watched as the story exploded to include Geopolitics, questions of mortality, preaching about what it means to aspire for freedom under oppression, and what a person is willing to do to achieve their ambitions, and yet it's also a story where the MC uses a dragon as a skipping rope, a wedding cake is used as a vital plot point, a guy who uses a sword by holding it between his teeth is one of the best characters, and one of the main characters is a talking skeleton with an afro that sings and tells dad jokes (and the reason he does it is absolutely heartbreaking), and it somehow manages to make me believe all of it, these elements should not work together, it should be a jumbled mess of too many plot points and too much comedy but Oda somehow pulls it off

My buddy and I are currently on that brief window between Dressrosa and Zou while we're going through our first watch of the anime. I've been keeping up with the manga since the end of the raid on onigashima. The sheer wildness of seeing Jabara, Wapol, and Vivi being plot relevant and interacting in a scene together is a bizarre and wild experience. Absolutely incredible.
For me the true horror with sitting on the empty throne is that it symbolizes what many rulers in one piece probably knew deep in their hearts but never said it out loud, that their power and authority mean absolutely nothing! This council they have means nothing, the whole system has been one lie and that the world is ruled by the whims of someone they don’t know. So in the panel where Sabo is running with Cobra and we see the 6 silhouettes. Five of those silhouettes are in the same position the gorosei were in around Cobra, so using that as a reference. Gorbachev seems to be a warthog Gandalf looks like a feathered serpent Saturn looks like a water buffalo Sanji's uncle looks like the guy from the painting the scream And Samurai Gandi is maybe a praying mantis.
Praying mantis and feathered serpent's don't really makes sense. The creature had a beak and no fangs. Also, the other one had fingers and no bug eyes. I think it was either a gecko or a lizard of some sort.
And the way they all have the scarf cloak thing of awakened Zoans is interesting too. What if they're all Zoans and Imu has some sort of devil fruit that functions like a mix between Dofie's Strings and Moria's Shadows to cloak them and make them stronger and coordinated.
There are actually 6 silhouettes in that panel. Imu is the silhouette climbing down from the throne (I doubt the gorosei are even allowed to be anywhere near the empty throne). Sanji's uncle is slightly hidden behind Saturn and looks like he's just starting to emerge into his zoan form. You can see him more clearly in the next panel. By the way, if we assume Oda deliberately made how they are ordered left-to-right in the panels align with how the planets are ordered as tekking pointed out in his video, then we'd have: Saturn - Saturn Jupiter - Sanji's Uncle Mars - Ghandi Earth - Imu Venus - Gandalf Mercury - Gorbachev

The first thing that came to mind about Imu referring to themselves as mu was the kanji/radical 厶 which means I/myself and is the original form of 私 (watashi). 厶 is pretty much the same as the mu katakana ム. I feel like Oda's being punny by having Imu use mu since it's already part of Imu's name, but also an actual first person pronoun.
By ‘the name of D has been popping up more recently’, Imu may have been referring to the significant people making waves with the name D (Luffy, Law, Blackbeard) recently, rather than the actual number of people with the name D out in the world
I bet oda is so excited to finally start drawing and revealing this end game material. I'm sure getting ever so close to the finish line is giving him some of the energy he needs to keep grinding this out.
I bet Im ate the Void-Void Fruit, which robs the user of his or her physical form, leaving them nothing more than a Shadow that they can manipulate at will. In its awakened state, they can extend this ability to other people, places, and objects, and can even extend over to other Devil Fruit abilities. Using the full power of the Void-Void Fruit, Im is able to erase entire locations from existence. There's probably a lot more to it, but I think it makes sense for Im to hold the powers of the Void-Void Fruit.

this is literally the most insane chapter I've ever read in one piece. I have never been more excited or blown away by a chapter and i've been following the manga since enies lobby arc. Most hype I have ever been for one piece. Great chapter and great time to be alive
I have a theory of what the D is, not what it means, but what it is. It's not new, I've seen people talk about it before, but i think this chapter might make it more possible. It's not a traditional last name, one that comes from your family, but it's a name that you give to yourself, I think the D clan might not be one family, but one crew united under the same flag and idea, JoyBoy's pirate crew, where every member decided to add the D on their names to symbolize they belong to it, and since it has an inherent meaning, they could pass it down through generations so the idea would remain. I think this chapter might give evidence to this, for example, how come IMU didn't know that Lili was a D? If they fought together to defeat Joyboy and his clan of the D. Why did she fight against them if she was one of them, unless she didn't know, and if she didn't know she was a D, then is the D something way more ancient than the void century? I have a different idea. If the D is the mark that you join JoyBoy's crew, that you sympathize with his objective, then could it be that after the 20 kings won and she realized they were wrong, she switched sides and added the D to her name? I think the little scene with Sabo, Ace and Luffy might be a hint to this, after all, it was likely Luffy who said it, a name it's just a name, if you want to have it, just add it to your name. If you sympathize with the D clan's dream, you can just add the D to your name and become one of them, you can fight for their cause. I think Lili might have done that, she might have passed with that name her inherited will to cobra and Vivi, and after that day, Sabo might actually have a D in his name that we don't know about. Also, this just kills the Lili = IMU theory that I didn't believe in, but it's very interesting, maybe Lili was the most trusted by IMU so her mission was to hide, destroy or take the poneglyphs to marijoa, but she released them to the world. We didn't get to read the full content of the letter, but maybe it said the poneglyphs must be resurrected, it kind of fits the cut of dialogue bubble.

Yes its possible, Vivi joining the Strawhat could also be a parallel to what happened during Lili's time. She joined Joyboy's crew and "betrayed" the other kings by releasing / sharing the road poneglyphs after realizing Joyboy's dream.
It could still be possible that Lili is IMU but they refer to themselves as a separate entity for some reason the same way Darth Vader refers to Anakin as a separate person
I just like to imagine the empty throne actually being super covered in dust, layers upon layers of dust, never been cleaned. But there's 2 giant buttcheek marks on it, obviously left behind by Imu, but no one notices it.
I'm hoping that the elder with the bird power has the Garuda fruit as it could tie into the theory that Sanji is related to the Gorosei as the garuda is the symbol of Germa 66
I've always thought of the poneglyphs as being stone infused with Haki simular to a black blade they were regular stones but when they were carved, the kozukis imbued their haki/will into them turning then into the unbreakable black stones we see in the story. Then the rode/lode poneglyhs being the most important poneglyhs were carved with ryou or some advanced version of armament haki giving them their red appearance.
I knew the Lili is Imu theory was wrong from the start because according to the Japanese fans, the Japanese version of the previous chapter implied Imu said Lili's name with anger. Now in this chapter we see why Imu is angry with Lili.
Hey Tekking, something I noticed in this chapter is that Imu referred to themself in third person as 'mu'. I know this is Japanese but an interesting fact is that the Greek letter mu derived from an Egyptian hieroglyph for water which the phoneicans then simplified which developed into greek. Yes!, mu derived from the meaning of water, and from Egypt no less, of course the Alabasta connections to Egypt and the (water) sea/devil fruit connections are clicking immediately, anyway I'd love if you could maybe expand on this and you could make a cool video on this as I know just like me you love history. Mu can also refer to a lost mythical continent short for Lemuria I believe so that’s something, starting to think umi bozu mythical is on the table for Imu here

Interesting the name Water is Tabboo as was explained by Law when he spoke to Baby 5 and Buffalo. Trafalgar D. Water Law connects both the D and Water, so i guess the D clans are the old nobility. They fit the theme of the Celestial beasts with Law being the Black Turtle of the north. Garp being the Azure dragon of the east, etc. Guess that makes Imu the Yellow dragon of the centre.
I've got a wild idea off this chapter. What if the shadowy silhouettes we see of the Gorosei transforming isn't just for dramatic secrecy, but is actually literally happening? And it's not their power, but Imu's power. I don't know what fruit it could be because we already have shadow, dark, ink, and soot; but what if Imu's power is to coat/change/control others.
Umibozu. They are sea priests, so ties into the character for Buddha in Imu's name, are associated with Dragons sometimes, control the sea, drown sailors, and look like giant silhouettes with eyeballs.
I also think there is a possibility that Imu is meant to look like an Umibozu as a misdirect. The "eyes" could be nostrils and it could actually be a silhoutte.
The way I interpreted Imu’s choice of words made me think that maybe the Gorosei really DONT have any info on Lili. She never went to Alabasta because she was planting the Poneglyphs in specific places that she may or may not have know that Imu could not fully reach. She was probably being searched for by the original World Government but maybe Sea transport wasn’t fully fletched out back then. She could’ve been the “Original Pirate” in the World Governments eyes and the letter was probably describing what she specifically did, where she hid the most important (or clues), or even spoke about what happened during Imu’s time which lead her to abandon her country
Roger laughed at the story when he visited Laugh Tale. I’m thinking that whatever Lili did could’ve been seen as like the biggest “f- you” to the World Government. Someone like Oden couldn’t understand since he’s from Wano and wouldn’t know what the Government is really about. Joy Boy could’ve been her accomplice (or lover) but regardless either She, or both, decided to place the poneglyphs

I think the gorosei's devil fruits are all mythical zoans and they've been hidden because oda will reveal them later. However, Im's in particular is quite interesting, it's a formless giant. I've seen someone say it's a umizoki, a japanese sea priest. It's a pretty cool theory
@@SlimShady-tc5mb but the shadow was approaching from the Empty Throne, if you look closely to the shadow's hand you can see it crush a part of the railing and some of the swords. Then in the next panel you see Imu's shadow eyes with all five gorosei present, and only Saturn(Bull), Elder Gandhi(Human with the cloud thingy like Luffy) and Elder Santa(Bird)have a clear form, the rest are just blobs

The giant shadow on the stairs on the Empty Throne is Imu after he swallowed the fire, the Gorosei are all under him. In the second panel you can see each one of them better. Saturn = Bull Horns Sanji Uncle = Big Head Gandhi = Humanoid with the sash Ganfall's Brother = Big Bird and Gorbatchov = Elephant.
13:47 Or Cobra was making reference to the original 20 kings who placed their swords in the throneroom and that led to the creation of the Celestial Dragons and it lines up with the fact from the previous chapter where it was stated that one sword was missing.

This chapter really felt like fanfiction come true because holy crap, the amount of information we get bridging the gap in events from 100s of chapter ago is crazy.
Because one piece is such a huge world with A LOT of story building and vivid background. You have to realize that none of this was relevant earlier on, it's actually really well paced, we are finding out all we want to know but it's not being shoved down our throats
They will probably be kinda good one piece designs but I definitely wouldn’t be against Oda just making the final villains straight up terrifying and badass.
The way the Gorosei/Imu chased after Sabo and Cobra reminded me so much of the final chase scene from Spiderman 64 where you had to escape from Doc Ock fused with Carnage
After comparing the positions of Imu and the Gorosei to the silhouette monsters I believe we can identify which is silhouette is who's and roughly what they are : - Imu is the big blob on top of the stairs , not one of the Gorosei , as we can see them all on the ground - Jay Garcya is always on the left and looks like some form of bull or skull monster - Sanji's uncle is between Jay and Ghandi but is obscured by Jay in the first but appears to be the Scream looking monster while chasing Sabo - Samurai Ghandi is the closest on the left to the center of the image and looks to be the most humanoid of the lot and appears to have the awakening steam scarf that Luffy & Luci also have - Gandalf's brother is the closest to the right of the image and is the snake-chicken monster ( Quetzel Quatl or a Cockatrice ) and also has the awakening steam scarf And finally Gorbachev is always the furthest right and appears to be an elephant monster

Just a random thought. The the 5 Gorosei and the ancient weapons being planets, excluding earth. And Imu referring to themselves as mu = void which can also refer to space in general. Next Luffy being the sun and blackbeard being the moon. What if the "D clan" is the Earth. Then we have all celestial bodies covered. Also Luffy, the sun, traveling the planet and spreading his light is the Dawn the earth is waiting for.
I hope Tekking doesnt ignore this lore again on the way Oda handle the story of Queen Lily and Imu as parallel to Ancient Japan the Shinto Religion and Buddhism. On the Ancient times Japan was called the Land of 'Wa' (thus name 'Wano kingdom' in the story) from back to the Wei Dynasty in China. There was a ruler and shaman named 'Queen Himiko' which is (parallel to Queen Nefertari D Lily who is also regarded as 'Sun Goddess Amaterasu' ) related to the Shinto religion. She had a younger brother who helped her rule a part of the mainland in Ancient Japan called 'Yamatai'. It is said that when she was governing Yamatai she was only being attended by a thousand maidens and only a single male servant (which could relate to Amazon Lily). Also she made a servant Yasumaru(Kozukis) write their stories as they were deities on a record Kojiki (related to Poneglyphs) maybe to preserve on what is now known as the Shinto religion. When Queen Himiko died she was buried on one of the Kofun burial mounds which is also spread around Japan (maybe related to the Red Poneglyphs). There is also the first Emperor of Japan named 'Jimmu ' descendant of Amaterasu or (when Oda spins this as Imu-sama also might be written in Japanese as Buddha). As time had passed, Shinto religion was almost getting replaced by Buddhism which also lasted during the Sengoku Period (yeah Sengoku the Buddha from the World Govt). Also maybe Oda is referring to the Void Century as the transition of Japan having Buddhism as their main religion from the Shintoism. Lastly, the name of what we know as Japan or Nihon(rising sun or DAWN) which is the Land of the RISING SUN / WILL OF D maybe related to Queen Himiko as the Sun Goddess and ruler of Ancient Japan.
When it comes to the space theories (Laffy being the sun and the elder stars having planets as aliases, I think it's law that represents the moon, whereas blackboard would actually represents not a named planet but actually the idea of a blackhole itself

Vivi joining the Strawhat could also be a parallel to what happened during Lili's time. She joined Joyboy's crew and "betrayed" the other kings by releasing / sharing the road poneglyphs after realizing Joyboy's dream. Possibly she was killed in Mariejois during a reverie / gatherings of all 20 Kings ( just like what happened to Cobra) when they found out that she joined Joyboy's crew and what she have done, releasing the poneglyphs.
It is surprising to see that Sabo got injured by that tail, because he is a Logia, but that just cements the fact that Haki is well known by all fighters in that room.

Hey Tekking, amazing video as always If you look closely when the Gorosei transform, the 'Sanj's uncle guy' is not the awakened Zoan transformation, he is actually a bit hidden Look closely, you will find him on the left between Saturn and awakened zoan Gorosei(samurai Gandhi for sure). This is on the panel where Sabo is standing sand says 'I thought I could take them in one move' . The guy on the staircase is Imu sama. So, on the right of Sabo(in the same panel) is the god Mercury as you mentioned, then Venus, then Imu(earth) in the center, then awakened Zoan Mars(Gandhi), then Sanji's uncle(transfomed) and then Jay Garcia Saturn at last(sad). This is more clear in the next panel where you will see Sanji's uncle transformed between Gandhi and Saturn and yet Imu's eyes are in the center enraged. So, from right to left Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. If you know astrology, you can guess the characteristics of each Gorosei member. Let's see how Oda rolls this. But for sure, these are all Gods. Also, as per vedic astrology, Saturn is sad, cold and an enemy of the Sun. Also, Saturn is a god of justice. So, it makes sense that Saturn is coming to deliver justice to Dr. Vegapunk and he will probably clash with Sun god due to the natural animosity.

As for the "Mu" part, it's a possible reading for the 夢 (yume) kanji. For example, the word for "nightmare" (悪夢) is read as "akumu". But as said, it's most natural meaning would be 無, as in "nothing", "void", or "absence of (something)". As an example if this, the word "infinite" (mugen) is 無限, which means, when read literally, "no limits".

Morgans knowing about Imu or about anything that they discussed in the room, is a much greater blow than anything Luffy has done. He can literally bring the Government to its knees over night but as a wise bird, he is being cautious. Since Imu does not know what his location is, he cannot be killed but Imu can purge the whole planet. That is assuming Morgans knows about what happened to Lulusia. However, he can also speculate what was behind the explosion. There is also the possibility that Morgans simply does not have good evidence so he may be scaring Imu into coming out more.

The reason Sabo wasn't noticed is because observation haki isn't as passive as some people believe, you have to be expecting a threat to forsee it like how Flampe got the drop on Luffy without him OR Katakuri noticing immediately, after they got dropped in on by Sabo they were much more tuned in on other potential invaders and so sensed Wapol.

I always assumed observation haki wasn't automatic, just like armament. You have to either actively use it or train yourself to keep it up constantly, like Katakuri. That would explain why Imu would sense Wapol but not Sabo. He was surprised by Sabo because he wasn't using obs. haki, but once they started to physically engage and started using haki, he could sense Wapol.

I think imu and gorosei never expected someone to be able to enter the room and since they do not engage in battle much thier observation haki was dormant and also add sabo's very good stealth to that it can be made sense of why they couldnt sense him and after short skirmish while killing cobra and chasing sabo thier haki got energized and wapol being wapol shaking with shock and fear and zero stealth was found out immediately.
Maybe Lili had the paw paw fruit and used it to scatter the poneglyphs? Would make a nice connection to the Vivi gets Kuma's fruit theory

Just a slight thing to add about Sabo's attack. Smothered Mate is a chess term in which the king is unable to move (due to being surrounded by other pieces on the board) and comes under attack resulting in checkmate. It happens very rarely in actual chess games but it's one of the neater checkmates. I'd love for Sabo to also have an en passant attack to go on the theme of chess attacks

The shadow that killed Cobra came from Imu. Then Imu unleashed literal hell from the Void he draws his power from. But Imu clearly has some kind of devil fruit and it's just bizzare that no one has realized that. Imu's angry eyes are huge over the top of all these shadow blobs the whole time. It's going to be a b*tch to fight. The True Sun God is literally the only person alive that even has a chance against it.

- We establish that all the Gorosei have Devill Fruits, and were able to take Sabo's attack with no issue
- Imu also may have a Zoan ability, considering he literally eats Sabo's fire

It's been a long time since a chapter has left me this stunned, after I finished reading it I just had to take 5 to let it all wash over, it's just so bizarre to think how far we've come, we started with a bouncy kid leaving his tiny village in a dingy and over time watched as the story exploded to include Geopolitics, questions of mortality, preaching about what it means to aspire for freedom under oppression, and what a person is willing to do to achieve their ambitions, and yet it's also a story where the MC uses a dragon as a skipping rope, a wedding cake is used as a vital plot point, a guy who uses a sword by holding it between his teeth is one of the best characters, and one of the main characters is a talking skeleton with an afro that sings and tells dad jokes (and the reason he does it is absolutely heartbreaking), and it somehow manages to make me believe all of it, these elements should not work together, it should be a jumbled mess of too many plot points and too much comedy but Oda somehow pulls it off

Praying mantis and feathered serpent's don't really makes sense. The creature had a beak and no fangs. Also, the other one had fingers and no bug eyes. I think it was either a gecko or a lizard of some sort.
And the way they all have the scarf cloak thing of awakened Zoans is interesting too.
What if they're all Zoans and Imu has some sort of devil fruit that functions like a mix between Dofie's Strings and Moria's Shadows to cloak them and make them stronger and coordinated.
There are actually 6 silhouettes in that panel. Imu is the silhouette climbing down from the throne (I doubt the gorosei are even allowed to be anywhere near the empty throne). Sanji's uncle is slightly hidden behind Saturn and looks like he's just starting to emerge into his zoan form. You can see him more clearly in the next panel.
By the way, if we assume Oda deliberately made how they are ordered left-to-right in the panels align with how the planets are ordered as tekking pointed out in his video, then we'd have:

The first thing that came to mind about Imu referring to themselves as mu was the kanji/radical 厶 which means I/myself and is the original form of 私 (watashi). 厶 is pretty much the same as the mu katakana ム. I feel like Oda's being punny by having Imu use mu since it's already part of Imu's name, but also an actual first person pronoun.
By ‘the name of D has been popping up more recently’, Imu may have been referring to the significant people making waves with the name D (Luffy, Law, Blackbeard) recently, rather than the actual number of people with the name D out in the world

I bet Im ate the Void-Void Fruit, which robs the user of his or her physical form, leaving them nothing more than a Shadow that they can manipulate at will. In its awakened state, they can extend this ability to other people, places, and objects, and can even extend over to other Devil Fruit abilities. Using the full power of the Void-Void Fruit, Im is able to erase entire locations from existence. There's probably a lot more to it, but I think it makes sense for Im to hold the powers of the Void-Void Fruit.

I have a theory of what the D is, not what it means, but what it is. It's not new, I've seen people talk about it before, but i think this chapter might make it more possible.
It's not a traditional last name, one that comes from your family, but it's a name that you give to yourself, I think the D clan might not be one family, but one crew united under the same flag and idea, JoyBoy's pirate crew, where every member decided to add the D on their names to symbolize they belong to it, and since it has an inherent meaning, they could pass it down through generations so the idea would remain.
I think this chapter might give evidence to this, for example, how come IMU didn't know that Lili was a D? If they fought together to defeat Joyboy and his clan of the D. Why did she fight against them if she was one of them, unless she didn't know, and if she didn't know she was a D, then is the D something way more ancient than the void century?
I have a different idea. If the D is the mark that you join JoyBoy's crew, that you sympathize with his objective, then could it be that after the 20 kings won and she realized they were wrong, she switched sides and added the D to her name? I think the little scene with Sabo, Ace and Luffy might be a hint to this, after all, it was likely Luffy who said it, a name it's just a name, if you want to have it, just add it to your name.
If you sympathize with the D clan's dream, you can just add the D to your name and become one of them, you can fight for their cause. I think Lili might have done that, she might have passed with that name her inherited will to cobra and Vivi, and after that day, Sabo might actually have a D in his name that we don't know about.
Also, this just kills the Lili = IMU theory that I didn't believe in, but it's very interesting, maybe Lili was the most trusted by IMU so her mission was to hide, destroy or take the poneglyphs to marijoa, but she released them to the world. We didn't get to read the full content of the letter, but maybe it said the poneglyphs must be resurrected, it kind of fits the cut of dialogue bubble.

I've always thought of the poneglyphs as being stone infused with Haki simular to a black blade they were regular stones but when they were carved, the kozukis imbued their haki/will into them turning then into the unbreakable black stones we see in the story. Then the rode/lode poneglyhs being the most important poneglyhs were carved with ryou or some advanced version of armament haki giving them their red appearance.
I knew the Lili is Imu theory was wrong from the start because according to the Japanese fans, the Japanese version of the previous chapter implied Imu said Lili's name with anger. Now in this chapter we see why Imu is angry with Lili.
Hey Tekking, something I noticed in this chapter is that Imu referred to themself in third person as 'mu'. I know this is Japanese but an interesting fact is that the Greek letter mu derived from an Egyptian hieroglyph for water which the phoneicans then simplified which developed into greek. Yes!, mu derived from the meaning of water, and from Egypt no less, of course the Alabasta connections to Egypt and the (water) sea/devil fruit connections are clicking immediately, anyway I'd love if you could maybe expand on this and you could make a cool video on this as I know just like me you love history. Interesting the name Water is Tabboo as was explained by Law when he spoke to Baby 5 and Buffalo. Trafalgar D. Water Law connects both the D and Water, so i guess the D clans are the old nobility. They fit the theme of the Celestial beasts with Law being the Black Turtle of the north. Garp being the Azure dragon of the east, etc. Guess that makes Imu the Yellow dragon of the centre.

I've got a wild idea off this chapter. What if the shadowy silhouettes we see of the Gorosei transforming isn't just for dramatic secrecy, but is actually literally happening? And it's not their power, but Imu's power. I don't know what fruit it could be because we already have shadow, dark, ink, and soot; but what if Imu's power is to coat/change/control others.
We've been saying we're in the last stretch for the past few chapters, but this Chapter REALLY takes the realization to a whole different level
At this point I'm starting to be convinced that Imu is not in silluete, they're just a shadow or a shadow-like being of some sort
That was my first thought when I saw the arrow attack.
Umibozu. They are sea priests, so ties into the character for Buddha in Imu's name, are associated with Dragons sometimes, control the sea, drown sailors, and look like giant silhouettes with eyeballs.
I also think there is a possibility that Imu is meant to look like an Umibozu as a misdirect. The "eyes" could be nostrils and it could actually be a silhoutte.
The way I interpreted Imu’s choice of words made me think that maybe the Gorosei really DONT have any info on Lili. She never went to Alabasta because she was planting the Poneglyphs in specific places that she may or may not have know that Imu could not fully reach. She was probably being searched for by the original World Government but maybe Sea transport wasn’t fully fletched out back then. She could’ve been the “Original Pirate” in the World Governments eyes and the letter was probably describing what she specifically did, where she hid the most important (or clues), or even spoke about what happened during Imu’s time which lead her to abandon her country
Roger laughed at the story when he visited Laugh Tale. I’m thinking that whatever Lili did could’ve been seen as like the biggest “f- you” to the World Government. Someone like Oden couldn’t understand since he’s from Wano and wouldn’t know what the Government is really about. Joy Boy could’ve been her accomplice (or lover) but regardless either She, or both, decided to place the poneglyphs

Then in the next panel you see Imu's shadow eyes with all five gorosei present, and only Saturn(Bull), Elder Gandhi(Human with the cloud thingy like Luffy) and Elder Santa(Bird)have a clear form, the rest are just blobs

The giant shadow on the stairs on the Empty Throne is Imu after he swallowed the fire, the Gorosei are all under him.
In the second panel you can see each one of them better.
Saturn = Bull Horns
Sanji Uncle = Big Head
Gandhi = Humanoid with the sash
Ganfall's Brother = Big Bird
and Gorbatchov = Elephant.

I think its worth noting that one of the shadow creatures looks like Quetzalcoatl and if you read the mythos behind it, it fits with IMU alot

The way the Gorosei/Imu chased after Sabo and Cobra reminded me so much of the final chase scene from Spiderman 64 where you had to escape from Doc Ock fused with Carnage

After comparing the positions of Imu and the Gorosei to the silhouette monsters I believe we can identify which is silhouette is who's and roughly what they are :
- Imu is the big blob on top of the stairs , not one of the Gorosei , as we can see them all on the ground
- Jay Garcya is always on the left and looks like some form of bull or skull monster
- Sanji's uncle is between Jay and Ghandi but is obscured by Jay in the first but appears to be the Scream looking monster while chasing Sabo
- Samurai Ghandi is the closest on the left to the center of the image and looks to be the most humanoid of the lot and appears to have the awakening steam scarf that Luffy & Luci also have
- Gandalf's brother is the closest to the right of the image and is the snake-chicken monster ( Quetzel Quatl or a Cockatrice ) and also has the awakening steam scarf
And finally Gorbachev is always the furthest right and appears to be an elephant monster

I hope Tekking doesnt ignore this lore again on the way Oda handle the story of Queen Lily and Imu as parallel to Ancient Japan the Shinto Religion and Buddhism. On the Ancient times Japan was called the Land of 'Wa' (thus name 'Wano kingdom' in the story) from back to the Wei Dynasty in China. There was a ruler and shaman named 'Queen Himiko' which is (parallel to Queen Nefertari D Lily who is also regarded as 'Sun Goddess Amaterasu' ) related to the Shinto religion. She had a younger brother who helped her rule a part of the mainland in Ancient Japan called 'Yamatai'. It is said that when she was governing Yamatai she was only being attended by a thousand maidens and only a single male servant (which could relate to Amazon Lily). Also she made a servant Yasumaru(Kozukis) write their stories as they were deities on a record Kojiki (related to Poneglyphs) maybe to preserve on what is now known as the Shinto religion. When Queen Himiko died she was buried on one of the Kofun burial mounds which is also spread around Japan (maybe related to the Red Poneglyphs). There is also the first Emperor of Japan named 'Jimmu ' descendant of Amaterasu or (when Oda spins this as Imu-sama also might be written in Japanese as Buddha). As time had passed, Shinto religion was almost getting replaced by Buddhism which also lasted during the Sengoku Period (yeah Sengoku the Buddha from the World Govt). Also maybe Oda is referring to the Void Century as the transition of Japan having Buddhism as their main religion from the Shintoism. Lastly, the name of what we know as Japan or Nihon(rising sun or DAWN) which is the Land of the RISING SUN / WILL OF D maybe related to Queen Himiko as the Sun Goddess and ruler of Ancient Japan.

I think it's law that represents the moon, whereas blackboard would actually represents not a named planet but actually the idea of a blackhole itself

If you look closely when the Gorosei transform, the 'Sanj's uncle guy' is not the awakened Zoan transformation, he is actually a bit hidden Look closely, you will find him on the left between Saturn and awakened zoan Gorosei(samurai Gandhi for sure). This is on the panel where Sabo is standing sand says 'I thought I could take them in one move'

The guy on the staircase is Imu sama.
So, on the right of Sabo(in the same panel) is the god Mercury as you mentioned, then Venus, then Imu(earth) in the center, then awakened Zoan Mars(Gandhi), then Sanji's uncle(transfomed) and then Jay Garcia Saturn at last(sad).
This is more clear in the next panel where you will see Sanji's uncle transformed between Gandhi and Saturn and yet Imu's eyes are in the center enraged.
So, from right to left Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
If you know astrology, you can guess the characteristics of each Gorosei member. Let's see how Oda rolls this. But for sure, these are all Gods.
Also, as per vedic astrology, Saturn is sad, cold and an enemy of the Sun. Also, Saturn is a god of justice. So, it makes sense that Saturn is coming to deliver justice to Dr. Vegapunk and he will probably clash with Sun god due to the natural animosity.

I was under the impression that Imu is more than we thought. Devil tail used to shoot Cobra. So possessed by the will of a actual "DEVIL" fruit. We know zoans have a will of they own.
Edit: when I say devil fruit I mean zoan Devil.
The devil tail came from Cobra's left, implying it was one of the gorosei.
@@eugoth4285 Yes it came from the left but we have no idea what Imu power is. Unlike the Gorosei, he gets triggered by those with the D name. He could easily fire an attack from any angle. Also he was right behind Sabo & Cobra when they get stabbed.
Sea Devil that controls the Oceans, IMU is the reason for Devil Fruit weaknesses. He is the one with the Ultimate Devil Fruit.

As for the "Mu" part, it's a possible reading for the 夢 (yume) kanji.
For example, the word for "nightmare" (悪夢) is read as "akumu".
But as said, it's most natural meaning would be 無, as in "nothing", "void", or "absence of (something)".
As an example if this, the word "infinite" (mugen) is 無限, which means, when read literally, "no limits".
I think that the one shadow coming down the Empty Throne is Imu. He blocked Sabo's attack and started to come down.
