My theory is that kaido built the prison not just to excavate stone but to gather strong people who have the balls to say no, I won't serve you I'd rather get up and fight again in order to find someone strong enough to give him a good fight

I like to think that when Kaido let himself get captured so he could get food, he always made sure to spare the cook. Everyone else dies, but Private Jimmy Jenkins and his world famous chili get to see another day.

I have a personal HC that Kaido will help the straw hats at the final race to the one piece. He lived his life believing that might makes right and that only Joyboy could change the world. Well now Joyboy defeated him so I believe he would defend Joyboys dream. Just imagine the scene: the straw hats and the BB pirates are neck in neck on their way to Laugh tale when suddenly the marines show up with a giant fleet. A straight up buster call. Let’s say Fujitora starts sucking the SHs towards the marine ships with his gravity powers. But then, the sky goes dark, thunder and lightning boom above and a giant (burnet to hell) dragon god descends from the sky and boro-blasts all all the ships in the front line. The dragon transforms back into a half beast form and says “only Joyboy is allowed to change this world and if anyone wants to stop him they’ll have to go through me! Now… who wants to try and claim the head of the king of the beasts”. And kaido then proceeds to fight of the entire fleet as well as multiple admirals until he finally falls because of the combined power from the admirals, the never ending reinforcements of marines and the injuries he received from his dip in mt.Fuji I feel like this would be the perfect end for Kaido as he would finally get the great death he always wanted. He always wanted to be joyboy but couldn’t so he became a obstacle for joyboy to overcome instead. “If someone wants to be joyboy they have to overcome me first” kinda mentality so having Kaido die in defense of joyboy and continuing his role as “the gatekeeper” til his last breath and thus dying for the birth of a new age just like his idols before him would be perfect. Alas.. this probably won’t happen. Would be cool tho
I was literally thinking about when this video was going to come out at like 5am this morning. It’s literally been over a year I thought my thought was so random but here we are.
I feel like Kaido will return and the only way to plot this is to make him a Straw Hats ally. He accepted the existence of JoyBoy, as a character it doesn’t make sense to go back on his own belief. Probably he will fight against the World Government in the final war (we still don’t know how powerful a lot of enemies are). Also, wouldn’t make sense to bring back someone SO strong to fight Luffy again. At this point we have to assume that Luffy Gear 5 would win a 1-on-1 against Kaido without any help
Yeah it would be great as an insanely grand but one of many and “short” moments in the final war, maybe he drops in from the sky like his original appearance to fend off some gods knights or some seraphim or something who knows
I mean Luffys power as stated in marineford by mihawk I believe was quite literally “the ability to turn anyone into an ally” i definitely think that line was foreshadowing for the future final war coming. That aside, Luffy is the Sun God. Of course he turns damn near every person into an ally. He embodies freedom and leaves liberation in his wake. He is going to take down the world government and make the entire world his ally. Besides half the grand fleet is complete fodder anyways. (They’ll probably be fighting pacifista or something 💀) We just got the introduction of a whole new antagonistic faction in the God’s Knights!! that alongside the seraphim, admirals, goresi, imu, and whatever else oda wants to add, luffy has quite the battle cut out for him he will need some very powerful Allies especially since it seems the final villain will quite literally be immortal. WHO better to serve as ally to luffy than Kaido?? I mean he was literally the litmus test for Joyboy after finding out he couldn’t be him. Kaido dies in the final war and finally gets the warriors end he seeks.. but this time it will be fighting for the dawn on the right side of history.
Its strange to think that it is plausible in an alternate universe of One Piece that Kaido & Lilin still would have worked together as members of the admiralty because Mama would have been successful sold by Mother Carmel into the Navy.
Also they would be crazy hot, as going to the Marines would have been their good path in life. Probably would have been trained by Garp and stuff as well
I hope we get a direct update on whole cake island and their territories as I doubt they will stay safe like what happened to white beard before My guess we will see a lot of riots and panic and the areas will be taken by shanks Blackbeard buggy and Luffy causing a massive shift

Best thing to do is to get king and queen and run away with them making a counter group to vegapunk. I think Kaido and Big Mom will come back into the story with Pluton and their awakenings and wreak pure havoc together in the final war having each other's back, and maybe perhaps even Luffy too having grown some respect for him as the Future Pirate King.

I think it’s also worth pointing out that however likely Kaido returning is, Big Mom’s return seems even more likely. Her fight with Kid and Law ended with her saying “Don’t you dare assume that this will kill me, You’ll pay for this” and I don’t think Oda will just leave it at that.

Big Mom potentially returning could have a purpose for the Elbaf arc as we know she has history with the giants so her being truly defeated could happen there. Yet at the same time, I can't really see how her and Kaido aren't dead given what happened to them and where they currently are. This isn't the best comparison, but I thought the same of Pell when he had a nuke blow up right in his face and he ended up surviving. So at the same time, you can't categorically say they are gone for good because Oda doesn't kill off characters that much at all. We need answers.
I am curious if Oda will give us a back story to the Oni race as well as the Lunarians. I wonder if the Oni race met the same fate as the Lunarians because of how powerful they were. Edit: It was stated twice the Rocks Pirates downfall was because they didn't work together. Did it also occur to anyone that the big war Kaido wants to be a part of is the final war?
Yeah it kind of is implied that someone betrayed them. Big Mom and Kaidou actually come off as the loyal ones. So I'm guessing Shiki or Whitebeard. (Wang Xi taking over their old island can be read as him remaining loyal too to be honest.)
We need a real good explanation for how a group able to produce a Kaido can go near extinction. Like Kaido without his fruit is still a top 10. There had to have been others who either had better fruits or were just stronger naturally.

I'm expecting a cover story for Kaido and Big Mom any week now... because based on Oda's past, the villians are all still alive, but that's literally all they (and we) have. I feel that Kaidou's best return story-wise would be if Kaidou and Mom have both been approached by the CP0 to turn on the pirate world, taken as much info as they could from that, and then turned down the CP0's offer, whatever it was, because they are truly PIRATES. Kaido knows that Joyboy is prophesied to return now, and Kaido has SEEN Him. I do wonder that he will have to say about that. and how he feels about being bested by another and learning that he is NOT the true joyboy, but that there IS one, and he HAS returned. He has died and risen and he his a God. That's Luffy today. We've come so far.

i do really like this theory because it gives kaido a new purpose. before it was just fighting or finding something to kill him. now he becomes a separate piece of the story that allows luffy to fulfill his fate in a different light
One Piece has to be one of the few series where you have someone that was punched through a planet into its molten core where we wonder when and where we will see them come back.
I always thought it would be an interesting twist if Kaido was the man marked by flames, who traveled back from the future to protect the last road poneglyph in secret in order to make sure Luffy was the one who got to it because Kaido knows he is Joy Boy.

I'm a time traveler from the future and let me tell you something: Chapter 1160 sadly didn't feature Kaido or Big Mom but what Rayleigh did there? Oof, huge. And the whole thing with Nami and the Wado-Ichimonji was also interesting. Most people didn't like the part about Franky and the vegetable juice, but it was at least a nice throwback in my opinion.
Honestly you do have to remember Raleigh and Scopper plus Sengoku (and whoever the other 2 admirals were when Garp was in his prime) were likely at the battle of god valley so it was likely a split fight like the average straw hat raid. Which must've been EPIC.

I think Kaido is done. He got the death he wanted. There is no narrative importance for bringing him back. The only strand we have for his survival is that you have to think there had to be questions about their survival asked prior to the release of volume 104/105, yet the SBS doesn't include any mention of it. He will of course appear during the Rocks flashback.
Hey Tekking, toward the end you touched on a theory of mine where “Pirate King” isn’t just a title. I think that toward the end of the story when Luffy gets to Laugh Tale and finally defeats BlackBeard, the pirates of the world will acknowledge him as a literal ‘King’ of the Pirates. By this I mean that Luffy will have garnered the respect of all the pirates in the world and will lead them, as a King, in a war against Marie Jois. This would include: The Supernovas, Shanks, Buggy’s crew, Kaido (if he’s alive), and the rest of the Straw Hat fleet. Lemme know your thoughts and thanks for making these awesome videos!😁

Silver Axe is on board as the captain of the black ship with the last pone-glyph. Seems more like the Rocks pirates were inadvertently protecting the red pone-glyph's. Whitebeard = fishmen island ( this one could be the one on the ship). ( but i personally think that Shanks moved it to Zou after his death.)hence why he has that rubbing already. Big mom = WCI Kaido = Wano Wang Zi probably had it on Hachinosu, but he then left after his defeat & joined Silver axe to the ship to be in continuous movement and cant be approached.
I believe that Silver Axe was Shakky's pirate alias. The reason why nobody knows about Shakky being Silver Axe is down to two eventualities: Option #1 in Greek myth it is known that Penthesilea is the daughter of Ares the Greek God of War known to the Romans as Mars so I believe Shakky might be the daughter of the Gorosei marked with Mars so like Donquixote Doflamingo was able to come to a special agreement where she agreed to be disowned to have her time as a Rocks Pirate removed as well as not being jailed at Impel Down. Option #2 Garp used his contacts within the Naval archives to remove Shakky's time as a pirate on the Rocks crew due to Shakky passing intel on the Rocks crew

The jacket jacket fruit is massively underrated. First the basic form is more useful then you might think. Adding sticks to your outfit it might be possible to make yourself into a glide. Thus being able to grant flight. Aso who says this fruit doesn't work on animals? Or even if the wearer has to be alive? Theoretically you can use this to get any zoan fruit you want.

Kaido's entire mission in life was to either become Joy Boy or pave the way for Joy Boy. If it's revealed that he DID survive the volcano, it's entirely possible that Kaido ends up joining the Grand Fleet recognizing that Luffy succeeded in becoming Joy Boy. I'm 100% sure that Momo wouldn't just automatically forgive Kaido, but Kaido would be reinvigorated and could continue his mission to change the world. Not for himself, but to support Joy Boy.

Probably not, but he might show up, have a confrontation with momonosuke and yamato and the scabards, might have some interaction with Pluton and wano's walls coming down. - Attack the marines? Unlikely, though I like the theory that he'll break down the gates of Impel Down - Go against Blackbeard? I just don't see it. There's a lot of possibilities, but honestly you could bet that he winds up working with Buggy and it'd be as likely as anything else
I really don't think he needs to return in any major capacity. Just in flashbacks to the Rocks era. I personally liked that he went out with a whimper, because that's exactly what he deserved. He wanted a grand death at the hands of JoyBoy? Too bad, get dunked in a volcano with only Momo and Yamato as witnesses.

She just lost the person she considered as a brother, lost face to straw hats twice and now, her territory has been invaded by Blackbeard pirates; they got a copy of her ponegliff and kidnapped Pudding. Ceaser and Germa have escaped and her territories are all endangered. On top of all of that, she is dethroned as the emperor of the sea.

Idk when he will return but ultimately my headcanon has been that Luffy fights Big MoM soon in the story when she returns. Now my only thing is who will defeat Kaido. Of course i feel plot will okay into kaido defeat. I was thinking about Silver Axe to have normal axe, but has some sort of unique Haki, which would have silver color. And he could use that Haki to his axe, which would be Silver Axe then. And this is, where his alias came from. Also him having a silver hairs.

We just got the introduction of a whole new antagonistic faction in the God’s Knights!! that alongside the seraphim, admirals, goresi, imu, and whatever else oda wants to add, luffy has quite the battle cut out for him he will need some very powerful Allies especially since it seems the final villain will quite literally be immortal. WHO better to serve as ally to luffy than Kaido?? I mean he was literally the litmus test for Joyboy after finding out he couldn’t be him. Kaido dies in the final war and finally gets the warriors end he seeks.. but this time it will be fighting for the dawn on the right side of history.

Its strange to think that it is plausible in an alternate universe of One Piece that Kaido & Lilin still would have worked together as members of the admiralty because Mama would have been successful sold by Mother Carmel into the Navy.

I think Kaido and Big Mom will come back into the story with Pluton and their awakenings and wreak pure havoc together in the final war having each other's back, and maybe perhaps even Luffy too having grown some respect for him as the Future Pirate King.

I think it’s also worth pointing out that however likely Kaido returning is, Big Mom’s return seems even more likely. Her fight with Kid and Law ended with her saying “Don’t you dare assume that this will kill me, You’ll pay for this” and I don’t think Oda will just leave it at that.

Big Mom potentially returning could have a purpose for the Elbaf arc as we know she has history with the giants so her being truly defeated could happen there. Yet at the same time, I can't really see how her and Kaido aren't dead given what happened to them and where they currently are. This isn't the best comparison, but I thought the same of Pell when he had a nuke blow up right in his face and he ended up surviving. So at the same time, you can't categorically say they are gone for good because Oda doesn't kill off characters that much at all. We need answers.

We need a real good explanation for how a group able to produce a Kaido can go near extinction. Like Kaido without his fruit is still a top 10. There had to have been others who either had better fruits or were just stronger naturally.

I'm expecting a cover story for Kaido and Big Mom any week now... because based on Oda's past, the villians are all still alive, but that's literally all they (and we) have. I feel that Kaidou's best return story-wise would be if Kaidou and Mom have both been approached by the CP0 to turn on the pirate world, taken as much info as they could from that, and then turned down the CP0's offer, whatever it was, because they are truly PIRATES. Kaido knows that Joyboy is prophesied to return now, and Kaido has SEEN Him. I do wonder that he will have to say about that. and how he feels about being bested by another and learning that he is NOT the true joyboy, but that there IS one, and he HAS returned. He has died and risen and he his a God. That's Luffy today. We've come so far.

i do really like this theory because it gives kaido a new purpose. before it was just fighting or finding something to kill him. now he becomes a separate piece of the story that allows luffy to fulfill his fate in a different light

I'm a time traveler from the future and let me tell you something: Chapter 1160 sadly didn't feature Kaido or Big Mom but what Rayleigh did there? Oof, huge. And the whole thing with Nami and the Wado-Ichimonji was also interesting. Most people didn't like the part about Franky and the vegetable juice, but it was at least a nice throwback in my opinion.
Honestly you do have to remember Raleigh and Scopper plus Sengoku (and whoever the other 2 admirals were when Garp was in his prime) were likely at the battle of god valley so it was likely a split fight like the average straw hat raid. Which must've been EPIC.

I think Kaido is done. He got the death he wanted. There is no narrative importance for bringing him back. The only strand we have for his survival is that you have to think there had to be questions about their survival asked prior to the release of volume 104/105, yet the SBS doesn't include any mention of it. He will of course appear during the Rocks flashback.

Hey Tekking, toward the end you touched on a theory of mine where “Pirate King” isn’t just a title. I think that toward the end of the story when Luffy gets to Laugh Tale and finally defeats BlackBeard, the pirates of the world will acknowledge him as a literal ‘King’ of the Pirates. By this I mean that Luffy will have garnered the respect of all the pirates in the world and will lead them, as a King, in a war against Marie Jois. This would include: The Supernovas, Shanks, Buggy’s crew, Kaido (if he’s alive), and the rest of the Straw Hat fleet. Lemme know your thoughts and thanks for making these awesome videos!😁

I believe that Silver Axe was Shakky's pirate alias. The reason why nobody knows about Shakky being Silver Axe is down to two eventualities:
Option #1 in Greek myth it is known that Penthesilea is the daughter of Ares the Greek God of War known to the Romans as Mars so I believe Shakky might be the daughter of the Gorosei marked with Mars so like Donquixote Doflamingo was able to come to a special agreement where she agreed to be disowned to have her time as a Rocks Pirate removed as well as not being jailed at Impel Down.

The jacket jacket fruit is massively underrated. First the basic form is more useful then you might think. Adding sticks to your outfit it might be possible to make yourself into a glide. Thus being able to grant flight. Aso who says this fruit doesn't work on animals? Or even if the wearer has to be alive? Theoretically you can use this to get any zoan fruit you want.

I'm 100% sure that Momo wouldn't just automatically forgive Kaido, but Kaido would be reinvigorated and could continue his mission to change the world. Not for himself, but to support Joy Boy.

- Attack the marines? Unlikely, though I like the theory that he'll break down the gates of Impel Down
- Go against Blackbeard? I just don't see it.
There's a lot of possibilities, but honestly you could bet that he winds up working with Buggy and it'd be as likely as anything else

I think kaido will be like an observer just watching to see what happens and then maybe help when he sees gear 5th a realizes he’s actually joy boy and maybe have a minor face turn/ reconcile with Yamato
If Kaido is alive then he would side with Luffy since according to him Luffy is Joy Boy after beating him. If Big Mom is alive then it becomes a bit more interesting. She just lost the person she considered as a brother, lost face to straw hats twice and now, her territory has been invaded by Blackbeard pirates; they got a copy of her ponegliff and kidnapped Pudding. Ceaser and Germa have escaped and her territories are all endangered. On top of all of that, she is dethroned as the emperor of the sea.
That is exactly how I imagine Kaido coming back. Kaido deserves an epic death like Whitebeard’s. Gate keeping against the admirals would be crazzyyy epic. Of course he would die, but if he atleast gets oneis gonna be amazing.
Idk when he will return but ultimately my headcanon has been that Luffy fights Big MoM soon in the story when she returns. Now my only thing is who will defeat Kaido. Of course i feel plot will okay into kaido defeat. Whether its BB pirates taking his fruit or aa some theorized Moriah takes his shadow and possible give it to BB or a possible dead Xebec(All theories 🧐)

I think Kaido's gonna show up during that final war and help Luffy out somehow, cause as you said, he wanted to be Joyboy but couldn't, then became the gatekeeper of the title and now that the title has an owner, I feel like he'll try to help that owner ( Luffy ) one way or another, could be by turning over a new leaf or just by beating up Luffy's enemies as much as he can until Luffy achieves his dream.
