Most of these people on the comment section who have sigma 16mm f1.4 can't accept the fact that the yongnuo 16mm f1.8 is, in many cases, sharper than the sigma. The yongnuo 16mm f1.8 has a lot more to offer than the bulky sigma . I shoot with both lenses and find myself using the yongnuo more . You all should relax and buy the two lenses for tests before arguing for nonsense .
This video made me bite the bullet on the YN16, so thank you for that. I'd considered the Sigma for a year or so, but the YN's smaller size and price tag (£144!) was hard to ignore any longer, especially after your take. Suffice to say, HUGE improvement on the kit lens in every way. I've only started on my first video with it, but the results are spectacular. Cheers!
I've been using the Sigma 16 with the M50 Mark II (Canon) for the past 3 years and absolutely love the overall quality for videos, as I use this combo for my RUclips videos. Superb!

Hi Mark. Thank you for all the great content. Super helpful and enjoyable to watch I picked up the Yongnuo 16mm but I am having trouble getting my Mac to recognize the lens for Firmware updates. Any experience with this?
I just picked up the Yongnuo 11mm and so far it's working well. I have a couple of FX30s and a ZV-E10, so I've been buying some APSC glass to try out. I also got the TT Artisans 56mm and I'm really impressed with how cheap decent glass is for the E-mount system!

Wow, I actually prefer the image of the Yongnuo in the studio. Amazing. I purchased the Sigma after your initial review and I’m not disappointed. However, I like the size and features of the Yongnuo. Good review Mark. Thank you. Dave from down-under 🇦🇺

I know the lens isn't in the same league, but the Sony 16mm 2.8 Pancake is my favorite 16mm lens. Just in case you never figured it out - the Sigma 18-50 (among many other better zoom lenses) is not a fixed aperture lens, it is a lens that has a constant maximum aperture of f2.8 throughout the whole zoom range. Had sigma for years. It is nice lens but too big and af is audible. I also have problems with built in flash or more compact flashes. Other then that is perfect for me. But this yongnuo could potentially fix those problems maybe? 😅
Mark, when we do vlogging on ZV-E10 using these lenses, should we turn on image stabilization in the camera and then use Catalyst Browse? Or can we skip Sony's internal image stabilization and use Catalyst Browse on its own? Thanks!
These lenses Yongnuo have been coming out with aren't helping my gear acquisition syndrome. Very curious to see if they expand their range to other focal lengths next or if they start working on other mounts. Their value and performance on Z mount or RF mount (if Canon fully opens the flood gates) would make even more cameras viable for more users too. I will say my Sigma 16mm has been my everyday lens on my ZV-E10 and I couldn't image retiring it at any point since it just does almost everything for me (sans vlogging but I have my Tokina 11-18 2.8 for that).
Being in my in situation with a terminal illness, I don't want to break the bank and the Yongnuo will work on my M2S gimbal, I'm saying the Yongnuo for me. I've been looking for a vlogging lens and believe I found it. Unless you know of a 10,11,12mm for our ZV E-10's in that price range? Maybe that could be a video for you? What is the best budget lens for vlogging with the M2S gimbal with the ZV E10? Signed Austin Crawford MSA.
Don't kill me, but I use the kit lens a lot, and only take out the Sigma lens, if I want it to look "professional", because oh boy, does the good ol' Sigma look sharp and good
in Russian marketplaces the Chinese sell Yongnuo 16 mm for $140-180, I ordered it for $140 and am waiting for it to arrive from China, thanks for the video
Pricing is now outdated on the Sigma. Now goes for over $400. So price and size might be deciding factors for some. But build quality/longevity is well known for Sigmas. Maybe less know for the YN's. A lot to consider..
The sigma has weather sealing👍🏼. I’m definitely sticking with my sigma 16mm but I’ll definitely recommend the yungnuo for anyone who’s looking for a 16mm lens!
You're totally right to call out the ZV-E10. That combo with the Sigma 16 has always treated me well. The colors are amazing, AF on point, image quality fantastic.
Fantastic review sir! I bought this Yongnuo 16mm two months ago and for the price it’s surprisingly good. I use this lens for most of my talking head indoor shots. I use this on my sony zv e10. No complaints so far. 😃
On thing or switch I'd like to see on every lens is a AF/MF switch. It could be the only one, but that is one that will make life a little easier. I do like that the Yongnuo lens has the focal length clearly printed on the barrel like Sony's 24/40/50 trio of compact FF lenses. No more guessing. Where is the ZV-E10 mk. 2?????? Not listening to rumors anymore.

you’re confusing concepts a bit. If you want to shoot dance, set your shutter speed at 1/60 and shoot 30p.
There are so many alternatives out there. The Sigma is a little bulky. I might take a second look at these other brands. I
You gonna grab that new Sirui 16mm f1.2 autofocus? 👀indiegogo backer price under $350 USD
Yongnuo actually has an 11 Thant might be perfect for you. ruclips.net/video/kjeyplKmkvQ/видео.htmlsi=nHz5W2hUSlzKc_bH
I still prefer the Sigma. Have you any news on the ZV-E 10 mark 2?
no news
The sigma 16 was the first lens I got for Sony when I got my first Sony camera the great zve10
Have you changed the sound at your studio?!
no - does it sound different?
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I got the impression that it did. Obviously my ears are not worth a penny 😂
Don't kill me, but I use the kit lens a lot, and only take out the Sigma lens, if I want it to look "professional", because oh boy, does the good ol' Sigma look sharp and good
in Russian marketplaces the Chinese sell Yongnuo 16 mm for $140-180, I ordered it for $140 and am waiting for it to arrive from China, thanks for the video
wow!!
Pricing is now outdated on the Sigma. Now goes for over $400. So price and size might be deciding factors for some. But build quality/longevity is well known for Sigmas. Maybe less know for the YN's. A lot to consider..
HAD SIGMA 16mm a year...great image and bokeh ball. but too bulky and heavy. sold it and turn to YONGNUO ~ :)
The sigma is clearer, faster and sharper from what i see. Keep the sigma lol
The sigma has weather sealing👍🏼. I’m definitely sticking with my sigma 16mm but I’ll definitely recommend the yungnuo for anyone who’s looking for a 16mm lens!
Yes - I made the correction in the description. What a dummy I am!! 😂
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis hey we still love you regardless you handsome devil!!😂😂
Somebody stop this man. He’s too handsome
can’t be stopped!!
You're totally right to call out the ZV-E10. That combo with the Sigma 16 has always treated me well. The colors are amazing, AF on point, image quality fantastic.
crazy great image quality
Fantastic review sir! I bought this Yongnuo 16mm two months ago and for the price it’s surprisingly good. I use this lens for most of my talking head indoor shots. I use this on my sony zv e10. No complaints so far. 😃
Do you have any video you made using that lens?
@@FamilySS2011 all my recent talking head videos I made on my channel is using this lens. Personally I prefer this over the sigma 16mm.
For me Sigma still takes a Cup🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Can't go wrong with it. A 1.4!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Sir can you please share the picture Profile that you're using on your videos

2?????? Not listening to rumors anymore.
yeah. I kept telling people the zv-e10 was only two years old and Sony doesn’t update for at least three years, but rumour sites don’t care 🤣
Mark I am trying to save money man sheesh.
haha - who does that??
If they make it for Fuji it would be an insta buy.
I hope they make 23mm version
It supposed to come out in this year. 23mm , 33mm and 56mm F1.4 lenses they have announced last year but so far only 33mm for Z mount was released.
Try ttartisan10mmf2
that one is not an autofocus lens though
