I can tell you about frozen vegetables and why there are so few of them. They are rarely bought there. They are mostly bought and they lie in the freezer for months when a person is too lazy to go to the store and buy something from vegetables (often they lie like that for years...). I have rarely seen any of my friends that I know cook anything from frozen vegetables when i lived in Russia, they often just buy fresh vegetables at the market. The culture of frozen, ready-made products is not very popular there. Basically, from frozen they often buy some (mini pizzas) and so on.

They have better selections of fruits, vegetables, chocolates and pretty much everything than in my central London stores, even those that are considered "premium" supermarkets in London don't offer such choices and quality as those seen in this video in Russia. And you have to consider that prices in London many times higher on pretty much everything. £3.50 for a pack of 6 eggs is the norm in London. Those Pepsico products(potato crisps etc.) also cost much more in London. They are clearly made from gold in London, not form potatoes.

You don´t seem to understand what is actually sanctioned. Food and daily life stuff isn´t sanctioned. What you mean would be a blockade.

The industrial kitchen that wasn't made in Russia, the truck parts for the delivery of goods. Even the payment gateway at the registers. A few of the challenges with Sanctions effecting retail stores like this.

Sanctions on some of the logistics affect food only indirectly. And increase the prices. Of which you avoid to talk. Understandably, though...
There are no direct sanctions / export restrictions on food, contrary to what you imply all the time.
But this is how you earn your living, and security, in Moscow...
On the other hand, it is the Russia government who puts direct restrictions on imports of certain product from certain countries.

This is supposed to be a large grocery store? Should show the cost vs average income and spending power.

Unfortunately, that chain now closes some stores in Kazan . The main feature of this store - is "homemade style " cuisine

Western companies realized how much $$$ they've lost due to these "sanctions". They'll try to find any way to creep back into the economy there. Great video,as usual. Thank you.

Russia was not a big market for Western companies. For example, Coca-Cola Company made only about 2% of its world sales in Russia, before leaving Russia.
