    I love my B175, all my best spots are ones that I found myself. I did exactly what you did, I ran over spots that I knew were already there to see what they looked like. I actually zoom in even further, I only watch the bottom 10-15 feet.

    Man that was just outstanding. Great job. A legitimate tutorial on how to locate structure with electronics, use the boat as a tool to get different vantage points or looks at the structure by using the track function to create different passes over and around it such as a figure 8, etc and then a straight up master class in lighter rig vertical jig fishing. One of the best offshore fishing videos I've ever seen. Great job Captain, hope to bend a rod with you one day as we venture West here in FL from Jacksonville which is our home waters.

    Captain Collier
    1 question
    I have the identical electronic set up but when I travel that fast I get insane noise. Any idea how I can get the clear image that you get.

    • @CaptCollier
      @CaptCollier  8 месяцев назад

      Could be a couple different things. I would play with your gain first. While your on plane, try and lower your gain until the “noise” is minimal to where you can read bottom. Also, you may be going to fast, most transom mount transducers only real well up to about 25-30mph. If you are still not able to read bottom while running I would check to see if it’s mounted correctly. You may be getting air bubbles messing you up if it’s mounted to low or too high

    • @MrCliftonLaird

    Do you do a similar thing to find natural bottom? I feel it would be a little different since some natural bottoms like the Swiss cheese bottom don’t create very noticeable readings

    • @CaptCollier
      @CaptCollier  8 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t personally, I use the CMOR map chip for fishing our natural bottom areas, but I’m sure you could find some if you have a good transducer and cruise at a low speed.
