ABOUT GOOD GIRLS
When we last saw Beth, she had just shot Rio as he was beating up Agent Turner. Now that he's out of the picture, she's ready to run the game and stay in control. The women take on seemingly innocent jobs - Beth in a stationary store, Ruby in a nail salon and Annie as a valet - each with a special purpose to aid them in their new criminal enterprise. What happens as they expand their operation will have a ripple effect with their families. Meanwhile, Stan's taken a job in security at a strip club and Dean is working sales at a spa company. From Executive Producer Jenna Bans ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal") comes the third season of this comedy-infused drama that mixes a little "Thelma & Louise" with a bit of "Breaking Bad." This scene was more intimate than most will give it credit for. I love how he uses his gun to intimidate her into showing how she makes the money. Then as time goes on and he’s just watching her do her thing all intrigued, he puts his gun down (like he’s putting his guard down). He’s enjoying the moment like a proud teacher.
I don’t believe he ever had intention of falling through with his plan of killing her. Her proving she’s useful to him gave him a legit reason to justify his not doing so

Editors are usually the unsung heroes of these moments. Because they are dealing with a lot of footage from multiple angles. And they know how to cut it in a way that gives us exactly this.
Alycia Mojica It’s the main draw of the show. If not for these two, no one would watch the show. Their chemistry is just insane. In theory, it should not work between them but when you see them it makes total sense.
@@alyciamojica9723 No it is the case for this one too. Not say the actors don't contribute. Obviously they did, and it this was borne out of their natural chemistry which the editors pick up in post and helped it be what it is.
But for this scene in particular the award has to go to the editors. Because a lot of what makes this scene works is they way they cut everything together. No reason why we can't give them their flowers when it is earned.

No but fr, their chemistry is off the charts. I love every scene they have together. More importantly, I love how they haven’t changed rio into some lovesick puppy for Beth yet. He’s still subtle, makes things way more realistic for the crime boss character that he’s supposed to portray. It’s refreshing
Crime bosses are not hard men. They’re men who have been hardened. The more aggressive men are, the more sensitive they are. Because their aggression is a shield and defence mechanism.
Heightened responses means that the situation triggers them and that they can’t deal with it which why aggressive men turn to threats, intimidation and violence.
They grow up in unsafe and rough neighbourhoods. The more sensitive they are, the more aggressive they feel they need to be to hide their soft side and to be taken seriously.
Their negative emotions are heightened just like some peoples positive emotions are heightened, only negative emotions lead to more misery.
Beth and Rio's story line is so intense they should have their own series.
