Here's the FULL romance for those questioning the chemistry! ruclips.net/video/iyeqcO29VK4/видео.html
I knew I wouldn't be the only one who noticed and appreciated the incredible amount of detail in that! It makes the whole thing that much more believable and just downright fantastic. Beautifully done on the developers' and actors' parts. Love it.
They actually said that is most of the reason the DLC was created only for the PS5. Between the detail and the hair physics it was something that couldn't be done well enough on the PS4.
I can’t bring myself to watch Zero Dawn cutscenes bc of the lack of facial expressions. I hate how much is bothers me so much. 😭 Maybe if they remaster it, they’d redo the mocap. But this game’s facial animations? Holy incredible improvements, Batman!
I honestly didn't expect this- but i'm not too opposed to it either, i always wondered if Aloy would ever allow herself to be romantically involved with anyone considering how stoic she is. She always gave me the vibe of someone who's too focused on her missions to ever think about settling down and live a simpler life.
It's only a way for the player to express their own feelings about the relationship - it'll have no impact on the next installment (at least none that you'll have any control over).
@@daganbanks There is - two of the options leave the relationship up in the air - now it depends on whether or not they decide to introduce a Male character into the mix. If I had to sum this up, clumsy and whether they realise it or not, they"ve made Seyka self-centered. She's just rescued her sister yet she's more interested in herself - she should be helping her sister, not pursuing a relationship with Aloy.
What I like about this romance, even if it doesn’t pan it out, it gives Aloy something more personal to fight for. Have a relationship and share it with someone she truly cares about. Thinking big picture is alright, but when the times get rough it’s nice to think of someone you are fighting for
I don't mind the spoilers because I'm not going to play the game. But I'm a bit spooked at how freakishly realistic CGI has become: the movements, the facial expressions are so lifelike, you have to remind yourself these aren't real people. Kudos to the animators, I hope they're proud of their work.
People miss the point of Aloy's journey in Forbidden West. Thanks to Varl 's insistince in coming with her and never giving up she grew more comfortable around people. This isn't out of nowhere and its not forced. If you play the dlc you'll see how much chemistry she and Seyka have throughout and Aloy's inner monologue shows how strong her feelings are growing for Seyka. And just because the world is still in danger doesn't mean its out of character for her to have one quick kiss before leaving. The dialog in this very scene shows she's still has her priorities in order. She just has even more reasons to fight for than just because its what Elizabet Sobeck would have wanted. If this happened at the end of Zero Dawn I could see people's point but we had a whole game of Aloy growing into being more open and receptive to other people.
I guess if you played the whole DLC this may feel different but for the rest of us this scene feels forced. I think the scene just wasn't done well, the idle talk, the two stiff planks of wood it doesn't scream romance.
@@ericneo2 Ahhhhh!!! And that is the problem with all of you... You hate without having played or concluded the DLC... You are doing the same thing Rotten Tomatoes did with the first season of The Witcher, you are hating just because there are two women that MAY OR MAY NOT kiss each other and you are hating just based on the RUclips videos!!!!
@@tiagopatricio3805 Seriously tho. You could feel the adorable awkwardness building throughout the entire main quest line. I mean, not to mention the huge emotional bonding based on what they accomplished and survived. Just because Aloy is saving the world doesn't mean she doesn't get to have a life! Varl and Zo built a life before it got cut short but you don't see anyone condemning that.
The thing I see is that both of these women see the same thing in each other as they see in themselves. Which is why you work so well together. Both carry heavy burdens that they don’t want others to have. They both feel like they don’t fit in with their people. I think what sold it to Aloy was when Seyka admitted she doesn’t want to go home because she doesn’t fit in. There more underlying things but off the top of my head that’s what I can think of.
It's shame to see end spoilers so early after release of DLC (it released like yesterday?), but nonetheless I am happy for Aloy. She did lots of character development in HFW (after all those loner years) towards learning how to trust others and what family means for her. Makes complete sense for her character to start looking into other kinds of relationships as well.
Character development? I found her insufferable almost all the way through the game. The only one who really calls her out on her bs is Sylens and Rost, but that could only last so long. Basically treating everyone the way she was treated in the first game.
Just like with the kiss, you don't have to kiss seyka alr let seyka kiss you in the game and you don't have to watch this video so you dont have to see how the game ends if you don't want to.
You have to consider that people in survival mode like them truly live day to day, notwithstanding the idea of the world ending soon. It brings true feelings to the forefront. I'm not totally sold on their longevity but I'm happy that Aloy has reached a place where she can open herself up to relationships like this. I was hoping it would be Talanah but she does have more in common with Seyka. Also, as a queer woman, I saw her sexuality from a mile away. And it's amazing to already love this game and relate to a video game character even more.
How did people not expect this? There were SO many hints during the DLC. Even prior to it, Aloy has never shown any interest in males or reciprocated any male interest in her.
That is factually inaccurate. Play the first game. You can flirt with almost any NPC who flirts with Aloy. The Sun King even tries to court Aloy and you can opt to say that she is also interested in him, but she needs to finish her quest before discussing this further.
@@Stormocitynope you can’t. What you said is factually inaccurate. Hell, Aloy herself stated that she’s never had feelings like that before Seyka, and didn’t think of it as a possibility.
The same could be said about Zo and Varl's relationship, but most people tend to gloss over them. Not saying you are wrong about the speed/pacing of either pairing, it was fast, but when you think about how primitive this world is compared to ours, it makes sense. Unlike our more advanced world, due to their more primitive nature I highly doubt they understand the concept of dating. (I base this theory off of Varl's comment about stuffed Teddy bears) So it makes sense for the inhabitants of this world to base a relationship off of just knowing a person for a day or two. Either way, I hope they give players an option to continue this romance in the next game cause I really enjoy the concept of giving Aloy someone specific to fight for. 😊
Well I was not expecting that Aloy would have a romance but that's very good, I didn't see that in a long time. That's what we want, a good writing about two characters evolving together, beautiful scenes who are not so silly. That's not like the romances option in Ac Odyssey that gives nothing to the story and after we don't even care about the characters
It makes me wonder if Seyka will be present in the sequal or if there will be more romance options considering that you can choose to not be with Seyka
I wouldnt’t see anyother way with the romance option as much as feel aloy and someone along the lines of say like a talanah i feel much more for aloy and seyka so glad they finally put an end to no romance hope they continue on from this if theres more for the horizon series moving forward
I saw this coming from miles away and It was still unexpecting. I love Aloy and seeing her being vulnerable with someone other then a friend was refreshing. It didn’t come out nowhere, nor was it forced it was simply two warriors discovering love for the very first time. I wonder what’s gonna happen next, considering everyone is ready for Nemesis. I love this franchise and I love how they basically changed everything for Aloy but in a fun, creative and new way.
how much was you paid for this post? nobody saw it coming, cause it was clearly a sony and ESG deal RE ps5 bundle sales to boost game sales the romance makes no sense she knew her for 5 mins then started acting like its some super big romance with lip biting and stuttering lmao totally forced, and new and refreshing? bruh race and gay swapping has been a american media trend for yeaaaaars now and its cringe af,hope you buy 2 copies of horizon 3 cause i aint buying it.
@@josuetorres4268 Sad thing is that it isn't - the choice you make at this point has no impact on the game - if they wanted it to they wouldn't have given you the option. It's also worth noting that it's Seyka that makes the advance, not Aloy. As I said, it's just allows the player to express their own opinion as to how they see the relationship between them. I've sure Seyka will be in the next game, but the choice you mke here will either be ignored or the game will make the choice for you.
Part of me was hoping that the cutscene would keep the headdress on so that during the kiss it would awkwardly clip into her face because the devs didn't account for that or something.
*_Do more than just survive. Flourish. - The Enduring_* Probably only second to the cute "Miss me?" Aloys says when you return to your flying mount (before jumping, gliding down and leaving Seyka freaking out up there 😅)
Aloy is my girl of gaming; I'm so happy she found someone she can let in and share moments like this. The voice acting of this scene, the music and the writing is as good as any romance moment in any media I have ever seen. When Aloy said "What if I do..?" was just so perfect and got me right in the feels. The utterly stunning graphics, detail on Aloy's model almost at times feel as though she is real. I've never seen facial animations be so consistantly outstanding in a series.
I loved it. After everything Aloy has been true from the begining she deserved to be whit someone that understand her like Seyka did. Aloy deserve to be happy and to find love. Hope we see more to that inn the 3rd game. It's great that there is 3 choice to pick, but I wil always pick the love choice
I never liked the idea of a romance for Aloy, for me she's one of those characters who doesn’t have time for romance. Like its one of the last things on her mind.
I know this ship is contraversial, but personally I like the execution. It's more about Aloy's emotional development, experiencing a first crush. And unlike before she's starting to be in a mental space where she can pursue a romantic relationship, even if a temporary one. People say it was rushed and I understand why they do, but it's not like they're dating. They admitted to their feelings and parted ways. I love what it had meant to Aloy and I'm happy she got to have her first kiss.
I don't think it was rushed at all personally. In real life, romantic feelings can develop very quickly, and it was hinted at several times throughout the DLC in the way they'd look at eachother, how Aloy would smile at her, etc
@@c.lvr2602 it was cause she literally kisses somebody that she just met and only knew for at least a couple of days. I get it’s more of aloy emotional development but they could’ve at least handled it better imo
@@Nightlizard1564 Lol I had a female friend of Alloy's age who kissed boys she had only known and talked to for a couple of minutes at parties. This here is much better
@@enzocrespin5806 but that’s literally different. Your friend might’ve kissed boys at parties but she never told them she loved them or even went out with them after. In aloy case she’s not kissing her for fun it’s more getting romantically involved which doesn’t make sense considering the other interests she’s had and have more chemistry with
@@Nightlizard1564 Love I dunno but she did go out with them afterwards for a short while, yes, even had sex the evening of the party at least once. Point being, people differ, some take a while to feel any attraction, others experience it in intense bursts
I really hope she gets to meet up with seyka in the next game and they can even fight alongside each other but I doubt they’ll do that. This dlc tho was incredible 😊
I honestly didn't expect there to be much negativity on this but once again, I appear to be mistaken. I definitely feel like my opinion on this has some good reflections on this scene and everything that led up to it. I played both games and while I was originally shipping Erend and Aloy, then Avad and Alloy after the scene of them before Aloy left for the Forbidden West. But after confirmation that Elisabet was at the very least bisexual, from her relationship with Tilda Van De Meer, we can conclude that Aloy is the same. So for anyone who says that Aloy being attracted to women doesn't make sense or isn't necessary, they actually wrote it organically into the game. I can definitely understand people not wanting some left-wing progressive shoehorning that happens quite a lot in media but this wasn't that. By the time Aloy and Seyka have their kiss, it was built up to organically and even me as someone who hates progressive shoehorning in media (cough, cough Eternals), I can appreciate that they simply orchestrated a beautiful moment. In fact, my belief is that the Burning Shores DLC wasn't really meant to create a stepping stone for the future third installment, but more to show that Aloy is developing as a person. While she spent her whole childhood shunned and outcast, she now has what could be considered a family. Horizon Forbidden West was her gradually opening up to people and letting people in, something both Elisabet herself and Aloy struggle with. For Guerrilla Games to create a scene like this with all the subtext there was available leading up to it, AND then for people to claim it as "not necessary" is to me, a bit short sighted. I will absolutely call out progressive shoehorning when it is obviously done simply for the sake of inclusion. This scene and everything that led up to it, in my opinion, doesn't deserve that criticism. It was a heartfelt moment that anyone should be able to appreciate, no matter their views or beliefs.
@@ThePeaceofWildThingsI don’t think this scene changed that though. She’s still extremely independent and by no means dependant on a significant other or desperate to always have social interaction. She’s just not asexual, exactly like Élisabet.
As a fan from the beginning and played all the side stories and all the interactions allowed ... this does fit ... and feels right ...I'm glad she finally allowed herself this .. she has denied herself this every other opportunity putting the world before her own wants ... she deserves this for all she has gone through
@@jackreeves7 for me I felt the opposite she flirted constantly with people she met and there were definite opportunities but she would constantly shut it down depriving herself and us following the story
@miguel figueroa yeah I like the flirting in both games but going any further than that I'm not a fan of. I'm also not really fan of the new character being with Aloy, I wasn't feeling it, there are much better characters in the main game.
@@jackreeves7 I think what changed was varls death and the fact that he allowed himself to have that romantic relationship in spite of having the same task as aloy... his death made her realize things can happen nomatter what and denying herself that kind of relationship wouldn't change anything and infact was just depriving herself of something wonderfull
Only if you want Aloy to - it's an opportunity for the player to express their own feelings - it won't have any impact on the game becuase the choice you make doesn't carry over to the next game.
imagine getting so mad that a anime girl vtuber wants to play a harry potter game.... oh wait cancelling shit you disagree with is ok as long as you are a wokoloid

I don’t think it’s so much about the kiss as it is that all options you’re given imply that Aloy is romantically interest in her. By the way, I’m not saying I mind it. I just think that is what people are upset about. No matter what you choose, it always points to Aloy at least seeming gay.
I'm finally playing the DLC for myself, and holy shit, I'm loving it and I really enjoy their interactions. It doesn't feel forced, it does feel like a natural progression for Aloy. So, when I get to the end, ik I'm gonna probably have Aloy kiss Seyka. Like, I like them together cuz it gives Aloy someone to fight for, yea, she's fighting to save the world, but now she's got a more personal stake in saving the world. So, in the third inevitable game, hopefully they'll have Seyka there as a romance able character. Like, hopefully Guerilla won't backtrack after the backlash. If someone doesn't like the romance, alright, whatever. I can see the arguments for when someone may say it feels rushed, but I personally don't agree, but hey, it's all subjective. It is what it is. But I personally like the idea of Aloy and Seyka together.
@@The_Desert_Hero Yea, same lol. I'm so down for more lol. Like, the dynamic between Aloy and Seyka is just great. And as I said, I'm all for it Aloy having Seyka there cuz now as a character, she's got a more personal stake in saving the world and someone worth fighting for. And that's cool to me. I hope they will expand on the relationship more. I genuinely really like Aloy and Seyka together.
@@The_Desert_Hero Yea, same lol. I have a thing for Aloy, not gonna lie lol, I do hope they will expand more on their relationship. Aloy is my favorite video game character, and I think Aloy should have a relationship with someone, so, here's hoping Guerilla sticks with it.
@@The_Desert_Hero I mean, it'd be cool if Seyka was a playable character in Horizon 3. I doubt it tho, like, Horizon 3 I'm assuming will be the finale of the series, and I think Guerilla will be very focused on Aloy, so they won't focus on that. It'd be cool, tbh, idk why, but going into Horizon 3, I got Mass Effect vibes. Like, Nemesis seems like this unbeatable threat like the Reapers were for Shepard. I love the Horizon games, like, the lore behind them is great (even tho when you really sit and think about it, it's very flawed on its face. For example, Aloy has a bow and arrow, Seyka too, and yet they took a Horus out. Why couldn't the ancients do it? Seriously lol) I think with the next entry into the series, it could be as great if not better than Mass Effect as a trilogy.
@@The_Desert_Hero Ik, but like, a Horus, if you look at the description in Forbidden West is a Titan, corrupters are basically nothing lol. And come on, Aloy defeats them easily with a bow and arrow, the Ancients should've easily kicked ass, but I let this all slide cuz its a minor issue that means nothing at the end of the day, I still thoroughly enjoy the games.
@@abnormalnox that wasnt flirting that was just being mates, but zoomers dont understand irl communication skills cause they was raised with a tablet she was made gay in this DLC due to a sony ps5 bundle deal to boost game sales..in exchange for ESG related shit like woke stuff
Kinda lame they did this. I kinda like Aloy being maybe the ONLY female protagonist in gaming that didn’t need a relationship (heck they made Samus get one). She always had a higher calling.
This game’s lore and stuff is so interesting but its got SO MUCH exposition dumping and telling rather than showing. Scenes like this make me wish that this game had better plotting or writing altogether, because there are like 6 cutscenes just like this that randomly hit you in the feels and are really well done.
Ashley Birch’s performance was phenomenal and Aloy’s character progression was beautiful. As much as I love Aloy being gay but didn’t really feel chemistry between these two. She’s had more chemistry with previous characters so this felt a little forced. Hopefully they allow the player to choose who she ends up with but regardless happy for Aloy.
BY THE SUN AVAD IS CRYING😂 im glad that there is a romance option but heres my option 1. Not every on has a ps5 or the dlc so if it can somewhat come to ps4 that would be amazing 2. Im glad that the player does have an option but does that mean this is a teaser forthe 3rd game? Are we allowed to romance anyone else? It is obvious that people have flirted with aloy such as Peta and Erend but really can the player have a choice? I am not against any gay or lesbian rights in fact I support it but you should be able to romance who you like it would expand the game sooo much 3. To be honset I wasnt expecting this in the DLC but again it could be a teaster Idk leave your comments and suggestions down in the reply section I would be really curious to see yalls options about this
1. Something to do with tech sadly. Not sure what but the ps4 can’t handle it for some reason. 2. Unfortunately no. Seyka is Aloy’s only romantic interest. It’s very unlikely because you can not turn Seyka down. It’s either “yes” or “maybe someday.” (That’s the exact words that Aloy will use to Varl if you chose that and go to his grave. She clearly still likes her even if you chose that) Aloy also stated that she never thought she’d feel the way she does towards Seyka. Meaning she doesn’t feel that way about any other character, even the ones that flirted with her. Remember that you don’t choose Aloy’s personality or feelings, you only choose how it manifests. So in regards to choice, that’s highly unlikely. (In my opinion, it would not expand the game at all. I’d rather take a romance the script is designed for than one that bends over backwards trying to compensate for multiple choices, especially when we now know that Aloy doesn’t feel the same way towards others besides Seyka. Choices would mean that you get less out of her personal story since that’s a lot for writers to juggle. Considering the scope of the third game, it’s easier and better if the writers focus on one) 3. This was apparently discovered naturally during the process of filming this dlc. Ashly Burch stated that this was something that her and the director found out and felt right for Aloy in this moment, which is why it’s in this dlc. Which makes sense, it’s the only logical explanation why something so big to Aloy would be in a dlc.
@@El-Morshed what exactly is your damn problem? Let the people enjoy it and stop turning it sour for anyone who's not completely with your opinion by talking smack about a perfectly good character. I know, homophobia ain't a choice (as is being gay/whatever). But please, stop talking sh!t just bcuz you don't like something, ffs!
Imo compared to the other interests aloy has had feel like this one has like the least amount of a chemistry. Like if it were her and talanah then yea but this one just feels rushed tbh
I have no issue with Aloy being gay or bi really. However, we have played two fully games of character development and have gotten way closer with two other characters. Seyka is nice and all, but is nothing to either Talanah or Erend. She is an insert in DLC. That is why I hate this kiss. Not because she is a woman. We were never give choices like this in the main games. Not OK.
i mean seyka is very similar to aloy in many ways if u think about it. non of the other cast have the "fuck the tribe and your rules but also ily" vibe. beautiful story cant wait to see how both progress
@jaywand lives totally agree aside from thealoy being an outcast part they are quite the same i personally don’t mind it does it feel kinda rushed sure but i’m just glad theres finally a love interest and hope for more seyka or teases of her in the future games
In real life attraction forms instantly. It's love that has to take time after you already formed relationship, lol. IDK about you, but it doesn't take me ages to form crushes on right people. And for most non-aromantic people it is the same way
I don’t know if they would ever get to have that relationship. The world needs Aloy. People would always need her help, no matter where she goes. She’s a hero.
@Flash Columbus5023 We don't need to get over what's so incredibly mockable. it's such a shame you-kind aren't able to decipher how forced and pandering it all is. inauthenticity does more harm than good if you used your head.
To all who are saying that they love is rushed let me remind you that Zo and Varl kissed after 3 days they talked while aloy was out and no one said it was rushed (yeah and also he got her pregnant within like few month tops)
@@sanjaynahar2161 I mean it is not slowly paced indeed but it is what some people do and it really depends. me personally I can take like 2 month only on exchanging looks with the person but i know people who get married within this time
i've loved this game since i was in 6th grade. i got all the zero dawn trophies and almost all the forbidden west ones and i've played the first game at least ten times through. this game is everything to me, and i'm very sad i can't play burning shores because i dont have a ps5... i'm happy though after seeing this, i love aloy with all my heart and it's amazing seeing how far this game has come. i'm hoping soon i'll get a ps5 and be able to enjoy this myself :)
I'm not opposed against the idea but it feels a bit rushed here, they miss the opportunity to build a relationship during the whole HFW plot, a short dlc love story doesn't feels like something the canonical Aloy would fit in.
Regardless of the main plot or the side plot of this game, I feel that all men are useless, especially male leaders... The men who sacrifice their lives for Aloi are not like Sega, who always complain but are able to welcome love. This is the result. It's so unfair that you don't have a choice at all!
I feel like her relationship with Seyka is gonna end up like Elisabet and Tilda. Aloy clearly loves and cares for her, but she considers Zero Dawn more important then her personal relationships and she’ll eventually she’s probably gonna have to make the choice of Seyka and the others or Zero Dawn
I don't think the main issue between Elisabet and Tilda was Zero dawn, it was Tilda's inclination towards being controlling and manipulative. Obviously we don't know the whole story between them beyond the fact that they used to be together and that Tilda tried to trick Elisabet into giving her a copy of Gaia, but we can see in the way she treated Aloy (who she saw as a perfect copy of Elisabet) that she didn't much care for what people wanted. She only cared about what she could take. And ultimately that's what ended her relationship with Elisabet.
YAAAAAAYYYYY!!! Finally, a lesbian protagonist!!!! They didn't let Lara Croft be gay (at least not yet)... but at least one hero is allowed to exist in the queer community!
It was alluded to when Seyka holds Aloy’s hand for a brief moment before you override the waterwing. You could see the sparks flying between them for a second.

What a fast personality shift. Through two games she was distant, even with people she *knew* longer than this woman. Where did all the urgency go to save the planet with that "thing" on it's way to earth?
@John Winchesterp29 Varl got treated like *shit* by Aloy for NO reason. One minute, she doesn't want him around, and then the other she gets judgemental when varl is getting friendly with another woman, and it wasn't even ROMANTIC at that point!!
Ikr? And people here say that it's cute because she's opening her heart or that the scene is well written. When right in the start of Forbidden West you have that dialogue with the Sun King I was like "from when Aloy care about this man? Why suggesting this romance, when she only care about Elisabeth and humankind?" And now this: when she's approaching Seyka, Aloy is awkard and nervous, not her at all. Seyka is not so deep, you spend very little time with her. Why this bond from nowhere? I mean, I love the game but for others reasons, not for narrative. This isn't the only point where Horizon is weak at narrative. Look at how Londra dies or how much is fast the grief for Varl's death. Only surprises me that people found this scene well written.
I can imagine the writers at guerrilla going “Guys since Elizabeth had a relationship with Tilda, how are we going to this with Aloy? Because she’s a clone, how’s that going to relate to romance options for the game?” And then they swear and mutter under their breath because what ever they do there are going to be people who are not happy about it and are going to be vocal about it.
@Ben I know! But it’s totally not going to happen that a small group of people will rant about it because the first romanceable character in the game is another woman because outrage sells.
@@Bluis5445 Did you really just say that bisexuality doesn’t exist? It obviously does. It means you are able to fall in love with men and women. Meanwhile if you’re hetero or homo, you can only fall in love with men OR women and falling for the other isn’t possible for you.
@@jorikrouwenhorst7220 I don't like this because Seyka is new character in a DLC. They could have chosen Talanah for we know her better and she spent more time with Aloy.
Not really they literally put a lesbian romance as the main catalyst for the plot to continue in forbidden west and alloy to win in the end. Making alloy game was just their conclusion of adding the lgbt nonsense.
Here's what aggravates me. It's not the fact that she's with her, it's the fact that there's tons of romance options, but they won't give players the choice to choose. I hope in the upcoming horizon game, if it's the last one that choice will be given.
I actually don’t mind this romance. If they had really try to shove it down our throats it would have irked me more. Doesn’t matter if it was a guy or girl they chose, I’m so used to Aloy being more focused on saving the world it would have been so hard to finish the DLC if she went all sappy on us. This was more subtle and that’s what I liked. It was more fitting to her character. I was able to enjoy the hints, scenes, and the quests. Once the threat is neutralized, then she can go all sappy and live out the rest of her days with her girlfriend.
As soon those two were touching hands exchanging stares multiples times, I knew it was going to be first Romance for Aloy Then Aloy starts worrying about what to say to her, she literally never been like that before so I when given the choice I went for the Romance
@@alphagamer9505 I do. Think about it - all the speech "checks" in the game have no impact on gameplay - they're just there to allow the player to see what response they'll get from the NPC they're interacting with and that's all. Also, whichever of the three options you pick at this point - they're not saved in any way so when the start the next installment the game will have no way to know which one you picked (unless it asks you again at the beginning, and as a game dev you avoid things like this as you end up having to almost build two games at the same time).
@@Weissman111 true but they will acknowledge in the third game, I'm sure of it, maybe H3 will come start the game with a save of HFW and h3 goes on that choice
@@alphagamer9505 I sincerely doubt it - it's hard enough coding a game as it is without having add branch points that change the game depending on what choices the player makes. THANK YOU 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Aloy's facial animations are so impeccably detailed. You can see almost everything she's thinking with just her face
So true!
On another level
Aloy is such a chad. Kills the leader of her gf’s tribe, is heralded as a god for that same tribe, kisses the pretty girl of the tribe, leaves.
He was more the leader of a small splinter group, the actual leader of the empire has not been shown yet.
I honestly didn't expect this- but i'm not too opposed to it either, i always wondered if Aloy would ever allow herself to be romantically involved with anyone considering how stoic she is.
She always gave me the vibe of someone who's too focused on her missions to ever think about settling down and live a simpler life.
Honestly seeing this scene is nice, as Aloy as always came off as emotionally guarded, with focus on her mission
It's only a way for the player to express their own feelings about the relationship - it'll have no impact on the next installment (at least none that you'll have any control over).
I did aloy is Elizabeth’s clone and she flirted a lot with the female side characters in both games
Gay isnt the problem it is no choice to be hetro
I mean in a way since it’s made using mo cap a lot of the actress is really on the character
@@stormbreaker7373 The weird part is the voice actress isn't the same as the mo-cap actress but her speaking seems seemless.

Of course it's real people... 🙄 It's called : motion capture.
@@tiagopatricio3805 I've seen good romance scenes in video games but that one was shit, quit sniffing copium.
@@ericneo2 if you dont have the full context then dont form an opinion, thats stupid.
Ugh, same, downvoted this video for spoilers. IDK why would anyone do this
Just like with the kiss, you don't have to kiss seyka alr let seyka kiss you in the game and you don't have to watch this video so you dont have to see how the game ends if you don't want to.

Also, as a queer woman, I saw her sexuality from a mile away. And it's amazing to already love this game and relate to a video game character even more.

@@IndigoStar of course. That's what happened to them
The same could be said about Zo and Varl's relationship, but most people tend to gloss over them. 😊
@@IndigoStarthat's the worst kind of love in tbe end
Well I was not expecting that Aloy would have a romance but that's very good, I didn't see that in a long time.

So wait we kiss and then split within a min 😢

So sony makes all there games gay not surprised

But I personally like the idea of Aloy and Seyka together.

im glad that there is a romance option but heres my option
1. Not every on has a ps5 or the dlc so if it can somewhat come to ps4 that would be amazing
2. Im glad that the player does have an option but does that mean this is a teaser forthe 3rd game? Are we allowed to romance anyone else? It is obvious that people have flirted with aloy such as Peta and Erend but really can the player have a choice? I am not against any gay or lesbian rights in fact I support it but you should be able to romance who you like it would expand the game sooo much
3. To be honset I wasnt expecting this in the DLC but again it could be a teaster
Idk leave your comments and suggestions down in the reply section I would be really curious to see yalls options about this
The horus can't run on the ps4
Considering the scope of the third game, it’s easier and better if the writers focus on one)

@@cat_03tv well considering Aloy and Ellie are both girls and redheads… coincidence?
Also no I don’t have a problem. Just asking.
To all who are saying that they love is rushed let me remind you that Zo and Varl kissed after 3 days they talked while aloy was out and no one said it was rushed (yeah and also he got her pregnant within like few month tops)
It’s still rushed though isn’t it? Both romances were poorly done.
@@sanjaynahar2161 I mean it is not slowly paced indeed but it is what some people do and it really depends. me personally I can take like 2 month only on exchanging looks with the person but i know people who get married within this time
A dude that can’t wait to clap some cheeks gets a woman pregnant in no time? Sounds about right.
I loved the DLC, Seyka and Aloy are extremely cute together.

i've loved this game since i was in 6th grade. i got all the zero dawn trophies and almost all the forbidden west ones and i've played the first game at least ten times through. this game is everything to me, and i'm very sad i can't play burning shores because i dont have a ps5... i'm happy though after seeing this, i love aloy with all my heart and it's amazing seeing how far this game has come. i'm hoping soon i'll get a ps5 and be able to enjoy this myself :)
Saaamee!
Strong women equals gay apparently
Nowadays every game character is gay.
@@Baysal_Alisan It's to make games different, making characters all the same.
Another game that gets dirty
I'm not opposed against the idea but it feels a bit rushed here, they miss the opportunity to build a relationship during the whole HFW plot, a short dlc love story doesn't feels like something the canonical Aloy would fit in.
Of course they have to put this gay shit in every game you loved, so silly
Gaystation
Agreed, why almost all characters are gay nowadays?
@Baysal_Alisan To tick off a few diversity boxes..... 🤢
How can you complain about this? How can your Life be so bad that you need to search for every little opportunity to protest against anything?
Regardless of the main plot or the side plot of this game, I feel that all men are useless, especially male leaders... The men who sacrifice their lives for Aloi are not like Sega, who always complain but are able to welcome love. This is the result. It's so unfair that you don't have a choice at all!
I wonder how many of the people crying about this would complain as loudly and vigorously if Aloy was kissing a guy?
Not many, I imagine.

Not the point, either have multiple options for romance or none, it's that simple.
In Horizon 3 Aloy going to have they/them pronouns and dress like a man. 😂
Homophobia's pretty tasty tho.
@@revy1370 bruh Aloy is in 98% armor most of the time and not much boob armors you see in anime games and this whole time she's dressed as a girl?
@@StateOfTheMind11225 wait, I don’t understand your argument. Aloy wasn’t dressed femininely… because her armor wasn’t sexualized?
Annnnnd I believe this is the 3rd character that Ashly Burch has played that is not straight? (Chloe price, Rachel from mythic quest, and now Aloy)
wait, is aloy voices by the same person who voices Chloe? how did I not know that?!
Aloy never kissed someone before
Yep I believe Aloy just had her first kiss! You go girl!
I always had a feeling in Zero Dawn Aloy had a bit of a crush on Varla though
I highly doubt it.
I had a feeling after I found those ancient scissors..
Well crap, there goes my Aloy/Petra ship.

YAAAAAAYYYYY!!! Finally, a lesbian protagonist!!!! They didn't let Lara Croft be gay (at least not yet)... but at least one hero is allowed to exist in the queer community!

Modern gaming be like: make it lame and gay.
Why are you gay? Who said I am gay?
What a fast personality shift.
Through two games she was distant, even with people she *knew* longer than this woman.
Where did all the urgency go to save the planet with that "thing" on it's way to earth?
Well there is an agenda to promote. Although to be fair some steps were made for alloy to stop acting like a lone wolf in the second game.
@John Winchesterp29 Varl got treated like *shit* by Aloy for NO reason.
One minute, she doesn't want him around, and then the other she gets judgemental when varl is getting friendly with another woman, and it wasn't even ROMANTIC at that point!!
@@damien9683 baby steps. But in general alloy had moments you were jeez calm down a bit.
Most of HFW is Aloy realizing she doesn't have to do it all by herself... and that she can share the burden with her comrades.
@@Bluis5445 that’s not an argument proving why I‘m wrong.
Is it taboo for a woman to like a man these days lol
I have a lot of straight friends and I don't have a problem with that.
and rightfully so
What a way to ruin good games
Pretty much knew Aloy would turn out lesbian or at least bi sexual… haven’t played BS yet but I hope it feels natural and just well executed‼️‼️
No it feels forced and rushed
Just like the woman she is clone of. Gaia wanted an exact replica of Elisabeth.
Did you expect her to like males in this climate?
Only if you choose that option - that's all it is. It won't carry over into the next game except in the mind of the player.
@@Weissman111 Who knows. Nil is alive in FW even if Aloy killed him in the orginal game..
As soon those two were touching hands exchanging stares multiples times, I knew it was going to be first Romance for Aloy
Then Aloy starts worrying about what to say to her, she literally never been like that before so I when given the choice I went for the Romance
You got it - this is entirely the player's choice - it won't carry over into the next game except in the mind of the player.
@@Weissman111 we don't know that
@@alphagamer9505 I do.
Also, the save file doesn't record the choices players make in these speech checks (and not an option if you didn't play FW beforehand or play the next game without playing any of the others).
It would be nice to think that these sorts of choices acutally made a difference but it adds complexity and cost to the game (not to mention driving the devs crazy).
