EVERYBODY WINS when doing the Jucy/Juicy Lucy Challenge! I try to hit each of those spots on my trips to MN. Matt's has better fries IMO. The 5-8 club has a better atmosphere and doesn't smell like pee.
Yeah... Matt's venue is pretty bad. I've experienced both places and even if I liked Matt's better I'd never go back.

Love the 5-8 Juicy, never been to Matt’s to have one there. Jerseys Bar and Grill also makes a great Juicy Lucy.

Over the last four years have went from a Cousins-Hater to a huge fan of our QB Kirk-O Chainz.
Even if he gets traded post-June 1st (Trey Lance, here we go) I will always have fond memories of Thuggins.

5-8 lucy back in the day yes, hot & oozy. the last 3x ive had it there a hard no. cheese isnt hot and just sits in place. very meh. worst lucy: the nook. undercooked burger and poor quality cheese. they undercooked every burger next to me, one of them had them redo it it was so bad. matts has been consistently better these days.

Matt’s is home of the original juicy Lucy. I was eating those before there was a 5-8 club. Easy to improve on someone else’s idea.

It's the original Jucy Lucy..ambiance is a dive bar...love it for what it is.
