I had a first yesterday on the way to Pai. THREE cars coming towards me 😂 when they were all supposed to be in one lane. The two lanes on my side were obviously fair game lol
Big variety of makes and models on the ride. How does the XSR900 stack up ? I have a 2018, bought new spring of 2020 here in BC Canada. Just discovered your channel and, subscribed. very cool and interesting vid sir. thanks ✌️
Mine is also a 2018. I bought it last year in BKK. I absolutely love it, and whilst it's clearly not designed etc as a touring bike, I find it's magic on the roads here. Powerful, nimble and enough torque for days! Thanks for watching and subscribing. It's great to hear we're reaching far and wide!
Unfortunately we have a serial phantom "disliker." I have my suspicions... We get one almost right away which means it's a sub! Shows us how mental some people are 🤷🏻♂️
Justin knows it! Best road in thailand is the 1081….and the 1148 and the 1256, and the 1097, and the 1093 and the 106, and the 108……oh wait, you said best……..1081!
The 1091 is also way up there! The 120, short but sweet. It's reportedly finish now as well. I forget the road number but the road running southeast from Phu Chi Fah is fantastic.
Loving your channel and content guys. I'm planning to come to CM, from where I live in Hua Hin, with my buddy first week in December, so would love to hook up. From the last time I was their about 4 years ago I can verify that the North is biking Nirvana. Nice bunch of lads in this group.....well done
So many roads to choose from... I like the 1346 up to Hinoki Land, The 1095 to Pai (who can't like that?), the 108 through Op Luang Park, Highway 11 to Lampang through the middle of the night, the 1081 in Nan, the 118 to Chiang Rai of course.

@@trademarked8320 yeah that's right! We met in Nimman. You were with another guy (possibly Russian?). Haha yeah, my ankle was caused by walking to my bike! Absolutely gutted as it happened two days before xmas and it kept me off the bike through Jan and most of Feb.
I have a new favourite channel it seems. I am escaping Australia very soon and I will be in Chiang Mai. Look out fellas, I like good food, good scenery, good company and good roads too. You have me champing at the bit

We're spoiled in the north as riders for so many different reasons. The group thing up here is great and the community, in my experience at least, has always been very welcoming. I've basically learned how to ride by going out with groups like this.

Ive done 4 big bike trips around thailands north over the past few years and look forward to exploring much much more. The one thing I am getting the most conflicting answers to currently is around buying a new bike in Thailand. I contacted Kawasaki CHiang Mai and was told i need a certificate of residency, Ive had people say a business card from the hotel can be used to obtain a COR and others telling me you need a lease. If you have any clarity on this subject I would love to hear about it )
@@piercingpete you'll be made very welcome with Krusty's. I believe the CoR has just changed a bit where you can have it emailed to you. I'd need to ask around for an update. The last one I got in September 2020 I didn't have a permanent address.

I don't think you'd have any bother with customs if you bring it in your luggage or even as a carry on. For quality, helmets here are more expensive.

Used to love ridding my CBR250 around Chaing Mai. Even rode my little Honda 110 CZi from Pattaya to Chiang Mai twice 😎

We're planning to make an entire episode about the 120. It's not a terribly lengthy road, but it is a beauty and worthy of a feature.
