I'm so glad that the old standards haven't completely disappeared yet. Artists like Jon and Michael are keeping this great music alive. Thank you Harry Connick Jr. for getting the ball rolling.
Yes, they almost single-handedly kept the whole thing going, otherwise it would have just been the occasional Frank Sinatra impressionist or something. Bless them.
Agree - I personally am hoping Steven starts taking the Friday show totally off and lets John do his thing (music, interviews, history etc) for a whole show. I'd sure watch. EVERY Friday.
❤️ What a blessing to have this quality of music on the program every night. Jon and Michael singing “Crazy”, brought tears to my eyes. Stay Human you were awesome as always and looked fabulous.
Saw Bublé in concert in Kansas City when he was still a young pup. Not only sooo talented but funny/personable as well. Money well spent on those tickets and GREAT MEMORY.
I was lucky enough to see him in Buenos Aires near the end of his Call Me Irresponsible tour, probably something like 13 years ago. So talented, he was so enthusiastic, and Buenos Aires crowds receive and double the energy right back. Plus, he had just started his relationship with his Argentine wife, so he was super-excited and no doubt wanted to impress! It’s nice to see that like any great piece of art, he ages with class and gets only better. Seeing him here with Jon Batiste is a gift!
I LOVE this song- I’ve got to say Jon’s voice is absolutely beautiful!!! He did a really lovely job of this fabulous song. Thank you to the two of you 🥰❤️
This will always be Patsy's song, but, John and Michael's love fest is a moment I'll treasure. Did anyone else get a Mr. Rogers vibe from John's amazing ivory tickling? What a gift, thank you John, Michael, and Stephan! 💜
@Kilo Mintoni I meant in regard to the singer(s). You're not wrong though I would rather listen to Rebecca Black singing it than Willie Nelson's warbling screech.
I rarely stay for the music , but...when is buble and Jon together ,nobody in thir right mind would miss this ,man ;that was magical the shortest 4.5 mins of my life!!!! Thank you .!!
Absolutely STUNNING!! Jon and Michael meld so beautifully, I would love to hear them do more work together. Jon’s transcendence into that place of JOY is so obvious when he plays, it’s like watching the blossoms of someone’s soul blooming, and Michael shows that he’s right where he needs to be in the universe when he sings. This was a truly beautiful performance by two beautiful people. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this magic.
Wow Jon is hugely talented. We need to hear more from him and his band. Michael is lovely as always! Grew up on parents Nat King Cole records. Jon sounds a bit like Nat. Do an album together, guys! Wow!!
This is what should have aired last night. The other number on the show, a glib, upbeat version of Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love”, was unremarkable and forgettable and didn’t do justice to the material. This, on the other hand, is a truly great performance of a song that has had many of them. I hope Willie Nelson saw this, because it shows that after 60 years there are still new performers discovering this song and new depths to be explored in it. And the at the end they took it to another level with a quote from another great song of the same name by Gnarls Barkley, which is the one that Jon Baptiste grew up with. A passing of the torch and an acknowledgment that both songs belong in the canon. This was a cover version for the ages.
I loved this. Did Michael do a second song at the end? What was the name of that last song before the show ended? I fell asleep and woke up to it. It was beautiful! OMG!
Beautiful... and pure gold. Bublé is one of the most talented performers on the planet, but the way Jon pours it all into every performance I've ever seen him do is more than beautiful, it's so powerful.👏
I've been following Michael Bubble's career since he was doing videos on RUclips to get people interested in his music. And I was hooked from the start, and, I have all his albums. I doubt there is anyone who loves to sing and entertain more than this incredible young man.
I'm from elsewhere and I know buble is a Canadian but I still always claim him as ours and pretend I haven't got to share. His music just melts me when I need something smooth and beautiful, just taking a half hour after work to drink some tea (or whiskey) and listen to something that feels safe and light and strong at the same time. Mmmmm love
That was an absolutely delightful treat! So much talent, musicianship and mutual respect among all the people on stage, and dayummmm Jon Batiste can really tickle those ivories can’t he?! 🤩 🎹
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ❤️ this jazz version of one of my favorite country songs. Jon Batiste and Michael Buble'... what a great Duo. I definitely would like to hear more collaborations like this!
The joy on Jons' face when he plays instruments and sings...travels through his arms and out his fingers ~ Jon Batiste is a musical genius...with the best vibe and style 💜
What a treat! I could listen to Jon Batiste sing and play and talk about life - he is always so joyful. And Michael Buble! What a wonderful collaboration! Musically brilliant. Thank you!
Magical. Drew me in so deeply, I felt like I was sitting right next to them watching at an underground club in Greenwich village or the likes. The whole ensemble were so attentive to the needs of the musical performance as a whole, each musician shining and then being understated, yet all necessities to the collaborative cohesion of this perfectly wonderful rendition of Patsy's classic that I never knew I needed. It was like an intimate unplugged session. Bravo to Jon, Stay Human, and Michael.
I'm so glad that the old standards haven't completely disappeared yet. Artists like Jon and Michael are keeping this great music alive. Thank you Harry Connick Jr. for getting the ball rolling.
Yes!!! I totally agree.
Could Willie Nelson have written a more standard "standard"? This one lives forever (Patsy Cline recorded it, but Willie Nelson wrote it)...
@@igorschmidlapp6987 willie is a song writing machine 💕
@@igorschmidlapp6987 didn't realize all these years that Willie wrote it, but now that I listen to it - it does sound like a Willie tune.

Anyone else think these two need to do an album together?
YES!
Grrreat idea!
@@marygoodson4920 ei love this singing!
Hell yes!!!
Sign the both up IMMEDIATELY! Awesome singers, awesome song!
A duet I didn't know I wanted or needed, but I'm glad it happened. Lord I love these two!!
They’re just do marvelous together!❤️
We need more like this.
We don't get enough of the band.
Maybe give Stephen a rest and have a musical show a couple of nights each year.
Agree - I personally am hoping Steven starts taking the Friday show totally off and lets John do his thing (music, interviews, history etc) for a whole show. I'd sure watch. EVERY Friday.
i could handle that
What a great idea!
This is such an obviously perfect idea that I can’t believe it’s not already a thing.
😎 idea
Jon Batiste is a genius!
No doubt his arrangement.
He really is!
Nope. He's a svengali!
@@FixNewsPlease I think it’s off Buble’s new album so … then again they’re jazz singers.
God blessed this world with the talent of Jon Batise.
I love Michael Buble, but Jon Batiste rocks this song!
Both of them great enough to let the other shine. Those two are a sold out show anywhere in the world 😀.
Jon is an incredible musician!
No, Michael Bublé does it better.
@@xFaithkeeperx Seems like arguing about chocolate or vanilla ice cream. They're BOTH frickin delicious.
Jon! Michael! What a performance! A masterpiece!! Loved every minute of their duet. Piano Master!!
❤️ What a blessing to have this quality of music on the program every night.
Jon and Michael singing “Crazy”, brought tears to my eyes. Stay Human you were awesome as always and looked fabulous.
Same here. Positive vibes from New Hampshire, remember to be kind to each other and yourself
Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH talent on one stage? 🔥
Right!?!
What that performance did for my heart and my soul, I don’t think I want to agree…but oh my goodness…in this case too much is never enough, right?
Great rendition between the two of them. Beautiful arrangement from the band as well.
By far, the BEST band of all the late night shows.
As far as duo’s go, this is undeniably a chef’s kiss 👌🏼

Is there anything musically that Jon can't do??? I had no idea he was also a singer! Great job Michael and Jon.
Jon Baptiste’s warm up licks should win a Grammy!
I am with you!!
i saw his band members looking at their charts, but jon nnaaahh i got this,i bet he not even had to practise, what a genius, and i am so envy;)))
I really want to hear what the audience hears during commercials. Those guys are jazz monsters.
And his voice really stole the show away from Bubs in my book.
Hey it's Scott fucking Baxendale!! Big fan

This song was written by Willie Nelson in 1961. Timeless!
I think Willie would approve of this performance.
How gently he puts down the mic even. As a seasonal engineer how I love an artist that respects equipment. Oh my goodness.
