Thanks for showing how to remove the blade from my 2012 Mazda 5. You don’t need to remove the entire wiper assembly, but you already know that by now :)
I've removed it completely. Was easier that way unless you are replacing just the blade. As I said in the video, if you just bend back, which I did at first, you can overstretche the spring and make it useless. I had to replace my spring. 😢
This video helped me replace the wiper blade on my 2012 mazda 3. I didn't have to remove the entire arm, but loosening the nut allowed it to pivot enough to access the blade.
Thank you so much! I actually needed the entire arm because it was broken. I popped it off as instructed and went to the junk yard and took off the replacement. Thanks for empowering us women ❤️
james42519 you can’t lift it far enough. I have this car and replaced many a wiper over the years and the rear one here cannot be replaced the usual way. That’s how I got here. I googled because could not replace it and didn’t want to break anything.
It isn't necessary to take off the wiper arm. Simply remove the cap that covers it, then the arm will bend back to allow simple removal and reassembly.
There is no need to remove the blade arm assembly from the car. Once the plastic clip/cover over the nut is removed, you can pull the blade assembly away from the window and the blade can easily be rotated out of the arm.
I was not so lucky. When I did as you suggest, spring in the arm would not bend back and I had to replace the arm. I guess possible that I had a defective spring.2nd time I removed the arm and had no issues.

Awesome thanks but don't need to remove nut . Only the cap needs to be removed.
Super helpful. Thanks! Regardless of whether you need to remove the nut or not, I didn't know the cover came off so this was really helpful.
Once you remove the cover, the arm will then swing out far enough from the glass to pop off the wiper. No need to remove the nut and the arm.
I've tried. Maybe I was not lucky but it over stretched the spring inside the arm whe I did what you suggested and broke it.
This is the correct answer! Thanks!!!
Thank you for your information 😀
no this is how not to do it. you don't unscrew anything. just lift it and change it. i don't know what you were thinking.

Sorry, but you are both right.... once i pulled the plastic cap off, the wiper lifted far enough to swivel it, no need to touch nut.
Confirmed. Pop the plastic cover. DO NOT TOUCH THE NUT. Lift and pop off the blade. Easy.
@@paul51413 Worked for me on my 2015 Mazda 5.
Thanks for the video. I was lost before it!!
Thanks for savior video 👏
perfect! thank you.
Thank you!

Maybe. Mine did not work. First time I did it, spring inside the arm overextend and I had to have to replaced.
you DON'T need to remove the arm, you just need to remove the clip over the nut and then you'll be able to lift the arm

I did not have this luck. Spring.inside the arm prevented this.
SKIP the 10mm wrench because the wipe arm folds out. Take off the end clip, fold out wiper arm, replace wiper blade.

After removing the ruber, the old wiper can be bended vertically and be removed
I did not have success. Wiper arm broke.
sigor2011 well, I did it without unscrewing and it took me 10 seconds to replace the rear wiper blade on my mazda 5 2012
You do not need to remove the nut simply pull back on the arm and it gives you plenty of room to remove the blade
I did not have your luck. Broke the internal spring 1st rime. Removal prevented that issue on the 2nd change.
Wrong! No need to remove the arm from the shaft. Simply pull blade away from the window and there is enough room to remove old blade and install new.
Sis not wprk for me, broker a sprong using your method.
You should have titled this video, "How to change the blade with one hand tied behind your back". A video to show how to remove a nut. Wow.
Except he did it wrong. That's why you check more than 1 video.
