Another reason for excessive shedding is low iron and or vitamin D. I have this issue and found out this was it after a routine checkup. Im on a journey to get it back on track now with supplements. xoxo
Ya. I thought they would mention being anemic. That's a big reason for hair loss. Also hormonal issues. I have these issues and have rectified them. It should've been mention.
@@marshareid4255 yes it’s definitely a culprit for hair loss but they may not have known about this if they haven’t dealt with it before. It’s not something I knew about until it happened to me. But thank God we know so we can share with the other subbies. ❤️
Yalls animated intro 😍😍I wish they were dolls! I’d buy them for my 7 year old! She’s into hair! And Kelsey I loooooove my Felicia leatherwood brush! I forgot which one of you said you’re cutting your hair into a bob when you’re 40.
NOW , YOU'RE ONTO SOMETHING, WOMAN! 💁🏿♀️ WE NEED!! NEW DOLLS FOR WOMEN OF COLOR, WITH OUR HAIR TYPE WE/ OUR CHILDREN CAN PRACTICE ON!!! The Bratz dolls was a start but we know what happened to them. Some FYI All hair has three stages: growth, rest, shed. Recommend supplements after standard blood work: B12, D, and Iron. A good haircut can help with the appearance and also stop split ends from moving up the hair shaft (length). Wet hair is very fragile and vulnerable to breakage.
On the growth plateau question when I started getting stuck at shoulder length I just started wearing my hair up more. Even when I wasn't in a protective style I did more buns and puffs to keep my hair from rubbing my clothes. Be careful with doing too many puffs though. I learned the hard way with that too.
Love y’all hair advice💗 Y’all are the reason I decided to go natural freshman year of high school in 2014 and I’ve been watching ever since. Y’all give the best advice and my hair has definitely been flourishing. From neck length to bra-strap length🙌🏽 I’m here for the new intro as well💖 Love you guys😁
Wow, 58 minutes!! Love the long videos and I love how the both of you are matching in color and hair!! 😍😍 I swear, every time I see y’all’s hair, I’m like: those are my natural hair goals. Long, beautiful and healthy! I think I take good care of my hair, but I do want waist length hair that’s healthy and beautiful, that way I won’t have to wear wigs or put braids in my hair. These were all great questions and great tips ladies!! Loving it and I’m taking mental notes.
I'm Latina I don't even have black hair but I am obsessed with you girls! Seriously the most beautiful girls on RUclips I've watched you guys for years OMG you girls are drop-dead gorgeous
I have two of y'all book's it was for my mom and She'Lar. My hair is around long. Now just people keep asking me what did i do. So i just tell them about y'all book
Love the Intro! ❤️ Ateyaa's routine actually helped me stretch my relaxers so long that I eventually went into the transitioning stage and stopped relaxing altogether. Once natural, your videos and Nap85 helped my hair thrive. Thank you for creating this content. It helps so much!
This is a great video! Just wanted to add a little to the shedding discussion from personal experience. Most people go through cycles of heavy/heavier hair loss in seasonal patterns, just as animals like cats do. I started noticing a pattern of shedding and even thickening/thinning with my hair that corresponded with the seasons. In the fall, my hair would start coming out at what I thought was an alarming rate, but then it would ease up and the roots would really thicken up as the weather turned colder and winter started. Then in the early spring months, it would shed heavily again and the roots wouldn't have as much volume as the weather heated up for summer. Once I realized what was happening, I wasn't so startled and just made sure that I wasn't losing clumps or seeing bald spots, which is something else entirely. Folks should also make sure to get thorough annual exams and press on your physician to order blood tests for anemia, thyroid, and hormones, particularly as you approach your late 30s and hormones start shifting.
If you struggle with frizz and you have 3c/4a hair try this combo for your wash and go : Shea moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and then Wet Line Extreme Gel on top of that. This changed the game for me! My hair also has a lot more movement now. I just top it off with a light weight oil spray :)
Amazing video! Very informative. Side note: How is your baby sister Kylie? Will we ever see her again in a video? I would love to know how she’s doing now.
I really appreciate how you ladies are switching it up while staying on brand...and that new intro Chef’s 💋 and that volume!! Makes me want to go deep condition now!
Great tips twinz ❤️❤️ if you have low porosity i would say always use heat to open up your hair follicle so your hair receives whatever moisture you’re trying to put in it. (Sit under a hooded dryer with your deep conditioner & your leave in) or even put a hat on so trap the heat. & always wash your hair at least once a week to get rid of product buildup low porosity tends to accumulate product buildup quickly. Moisturizing shampoo are fine for majority of the time. But once a month use a clarifying shampoo. Low porosity receives & locks in moisture very easily when u use heat to open the hair follicle.
I found the point about layers very interesting.. I’ve been wanting to cut my hair all even for a while but my hair grows in layers I think and if it doesn’t it’s sure looks likes it does because I have different curl patterns/ shrinkage levels in different areas..
I haven't been wearing my natural hair because it will be cute when I leave the house but by end of day it's a big poof on the top of my head. Any suggestions?
OOOOO!! IT’S THE NEW INTRO FOR ME, BOO!!!! 🥰🥰 IT’S THE WAND CURLS FOR ME, BOO!!!! 🥰🥰 IT’S THE BROWN SUGAR-COLOR BACK GROUND FOR ME, BOO!!!!!🥰🥰 ✨KELSEY & KENDRA JUST COMING THROUGH WITH ALL THE NEW 2021 VIBES✨
I think if you do the transition process vs big chop also depend on your hair texture. Some hair texture it’s easier to manage with the transition process
One thing I did in my car when I had cloth interior was to slip a satin pillowcase over the top of my seat. That way my hair wasn’t experiencing friction from the seat.

yal have been my go to for all things natural hair! I really needed to hear what you were talking about with shedding. It's crazy im still learning so much and i've been natural for 6 years. Thank you for taking the time to share with us.
I only use box dyes on my hair and Garnier and L’Oréal are the only brands I use. I big chopped and I thank God my hair grew super fast lol. I cut my hair on March 30th of 2019 and literally by June or so I was able to put my hair in high puffs.

What about blow drying? Does that cause more heat damage
