      That's a good use for them. I'm building a 3.5 with 1404 motors right now.

      @Mangorille I currently have them on the pirat lil matey. I have a 3 to 3.5" frame I designed that I plan on switching them to. That frame is not published yet but similar to the f3. I have published a 5" the skelter5 v2.

    These motors fly great on my grinderino. Just wish they were more durrable. They just dont take crashes well. The inner motor shaft is very small and bends easy in minor crashes, And cant really bend em back cuz they snap. On top of that tmotor wont sell bells seprate. So now i got 8 paperweight stators. Haha.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  9 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately I think that's these smaller lighter motors in general. The 1404 and 1604 both have 2mm internal shafts with a 1.5mm pin for the props. Only so much that shaft can take.

      @Deathdezine 9 месяцев назад

      Yeah your right😢 i really liked these motors too. Fly great and had good flight time.

      @@Deathdezine Exactly, I've had to replace a few 1404 motors over the years, they develop a vibration after a few good crashes. Nature of the beast I suppose.

      Those are 15g motors, too heavy for my goal of having to stay under 250g. Why not go with a t mount style? Yu can save at least 15 grams right there.

    I almost replaced my Brotherhobby 1504.5 motors with these 1604 but they use an odd 9x9mm mounting pattern that my 3” frame doesn’t accommodate.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  9 месяцев назад

      Yup they are a 9x9 mounting pattern, same as the 1404 motors so great for me.

  • @v1.hattrick

    Gotta go with that 530 or the 380 HV for the lightweight feeling, which will in turn lower the amperage pulled as it wont be slugging as much weight.

    • @Mangorille
      @Mangorille  9 месяцев назад +1

      I think the 530HV is the sweet spot for a lightweight 3 or 3.5". Only problem is that they're a bit hard to find where I'm located. I tried the 6s 650 and it gave me about 1-1.5 minutes more flight time than the 4s so I think the 530 should give similar if not slightly more flight time than a 4s setup.

    • @v1.hattrick
      @v1.hattrick 9 месяцев назад +1

      I use the 530mah myself, getting close to 4 minutes of proxy freestyle (not many aggressive punches, a lot of aggressive turns). So the flight time is quite similar, the lack of voltage sag is where it really shines, along with the extra punch if/when you want it. @@Mangorille

      @@Mangorille well with the li-ion it's heavy. Quad right now is 175g with camera. Li-ion is 206g. I want to use triblades on my other drones they are more efficient at low throttles. Also on way home explorer is at 60% throttle in current configuration. Also curious is I could run 6s (li-ion might weigh too much for the skinny arms)

      Yes Sir! These are the motors I have on my Siren F3 split as well! They are fantastic! The only thing I didn't like was the T-mount, so I was going to switch to the 1804s with the 5mm shaft. Then I built a squirt with the T Motor 1507s that have a 5mm shaft. It is very difficult to change props because you can't get a good grip on the motors without slicing your fingers, so I gained a new appreciation for my old T-mount! Lol! Maybe the 18mm bell would be easier to grip than the 15mm bell, but for now, I'm sticking with the 1604s! I love my Pacer 1604s I know you're gonna love yours! Murders runs these on his F3 as well. Welcome to the 1604 club! 😂 🎉
