I do not mind the screen size but wouldnt purchase at that price. Why would I get this over the FPE V2 or even my Pokornyi Engineering Hyp-R. I just do not see the value proposition over so many other wheels. I would love to review for myself, but at this moment in time. I do not see the value compared to other wheels on the market.
Sorry Dan, I gave your video a like, but stopped watching it early on when you highlighted the “fit and finish” issues! A that costs the best part of 2000 notes shouldn’t be suffering from build quality issues like that!! This now the second wheel from them recently that has been reviewed and had build issues - the AMG wheel had a missing power button cap and a sticking shifter (that might have been on Boosted Media’s review). Even if they are “pre production” versions, there is no excuse for that, and first impressions last… For that kind of money I’d be going for the Soelpec Spectra or a GSI Hyper P1 😉
Agreed, the shape and size look perfect but the screen would sit to low with the height of my wheel base and a separate screen would be a better fit IMO
Yeah its just cubecontrols things. They create solid products at premium price points, but the simracing market changed in the last 3 years. Solid is not enough at those price points anymore.
@KCnoob7 ok possibly, but even if you have the monitor sitting flate on the wheel base shaft it still doesn't line up perfectly with the in-game dash for most cars. Unless you are driving a car that has the screen on the wheel.
PLASTIC :( . A $1500 wheel shouldn’t be suffering from build quality issues like that. It's been a while since I've seen a wheel that costs more than 200 dollars with such a poor finish. There are competitors that offer much better quality in every aspect for less than half the price.
Happy they have a 5" screen. I've had both sizes, 5" is much more readable for me. Allowing me to take a lot of info/data off the driving screen. Would be highly interested in this if it was $1000.
Nice review! I will be expecting the video about the qr board you’ve done there,I’m dwelling to get into the diy space for wheels and being on a Simagic base this board will be a bonus for me.
I absolutely dislike this design. But good review for sure! I really hope this isnt the look they will be going for in the future. That slmost futirist look imo looses alot of character.
I wonder how many people actually use the screen because I sure don't. If we include non-screened wheels, I don't know how anyone, especially cube controls, could compete with the new Simagic GT Neo for the price if the quality is as good as it appears. Do you have one for review by chance?
I love the light setup in your studio man! You definitely know how to set everything perfect in terms of light position and colors! The bluish background with the correct color skin is just in perfect contrast! The reviews are always top but I admire a lot the setup in the studio 💪🔥
I just got a Cube Controls FPro wheel. During sudden changes of direction or in hard cornering (with ffb quite high) , I can notice a slight creak sound in the rear part of the steering wheel. I have a Simucube 2 pro base with Simucube quick release, all the screws are very tight. Can easily recreate the noise by flexing the wheel (twisting hands in opposite directions, one pulling and one pushing). Did you ever hear any creak sound using any Cube Controls wheel Dan?
€1400 for a wheel with a fully plastic front is a total joke. If simagic can make the gt neo with carbon composite and forged carbon for less than €300 this price for plastic is unacceptable. Ya ya I know it has a screen… a screen like that costs less than €100. They just want to make 500% profit on every one they sell.
@@DanSuzuki Simagics website says the body is made of a carbon composite. This most likely means it’s something like carbon reinforced nylon or something similar. Basically plastic with some carbon embedded for extra rigidity. Steliyan from Race Beyond Matter said that the information he got from simagic is that it is carbon reinforced plastic with only the top layer being genuine forged carbon. If the top layer was fake forged carbon it wouldn’t reflect the light like it does. As you said it’s a great deal regardless, if simagic can make this trick work of using mostly plastic and then laminating some genuine carbon over the top then I don’t see why this €1400 wheel can’t achieve something similar. Better than some cheap looking glossy plastic for sure!
@@DanSuzuki I’m just going off the info I got in another reviewers video so, of course, idk personally. Maybe you have better information from simagic than Steliyan? 🤷🏼♂️
Oh yeah, it's a compound material mix out of pc, abs and some carbon in it, but it's no "forged carbon" as in full carbon wheel. maybe my wording also wasn't ideal. nevertheless - it's an amazing wheel, will be the next wheelreview on the channel!@@alecmillea4539
@@DanSuzuki I guess Steliyan may have been misinformed regarding the surface layer being forged carbon. I can’t wait for your review of it! If you can get some additional clarification from simagic regarding that it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all the great work you do for the community Dan!
I would want far more rotary knobs for a wheel that price ... The plastic is interesting cause my cube F pro is aluminum if i remember right... @Dan Suzuki needs some hair product sponsors :)
when shopping in this kind of pricerange i'd much rather spend a little extra and get something like a gsi Hyper p1 or a bavarian simtec omega one even tho i have some experience with cube controls wheel i feel those brands will offer equivalent or better quality, the use of plastic front that doesn't line up, and the lightbleed are imho unacceptable on a 1600euro wheel, i do like the 2 way switches on the backside tho and really see the potential with 4 handy inputs there. also i believe the cable and connector are named Q-Conn and not magsafe? unless they changed the cable on newer wheels than the f-pro
I am looking for a highend wheel. I dont think its going to be that one. At that price range i need a WOW experience. I am not sure yet but so far i'm leaning towards Hyper P1 but i'm not yet decided, also i'm not in a rush to buy. What do you guys think?
If this example you got is indicative of what's going to be shipped then definitely not worth it based on fit and finish alone. Plastic case, gaps, not a refined product worth 1400€.
Hey ! I was wondering if you could review the Logitech direct drive wheel. To tell us what is your feeling and driving sensations with that wheel. Thanks !
maybe i'm not the target audience, but that wheel costs more then the computer i use to run iracing. This ever increasing high-end wheel market it just to crowded for this wheel to compete. Honestly it doesn't seem like it really even competes with these high-end wheels given it's current state..
I am drunk now... But... Did you just paid 7k PLN for just a rim? Nobody self-concius would pay more than 500$ for extreme quality replica / Real one... This one is 250$ MAX
thank you for reviewing. 100 percent valid points at that price the material and finish should be damn near perfect. just look at what GSI and SOELPEC are doing. way smaller brands and doing it way better!
Great review... for a wheel with a very unusual design, let's put it like that. Not for me, but this wheel would be perfect for a sim in the Cyberpunk genre 😅

Great production, Dan, really easy video to watch, very nice! About the wheel: don't think it's worth the price, lots of small things that don't feel right, can find better value with other brands/builders.
Been waiting for this wheel to be announced. Sounds like the one you received was a pre-production model with minor refinements still to be made. Be interesting to see if Cube Controls release a non screen version similar to the one they made for JAS Motorsport (Honda). Disappointed in that you don’t get both sets of handles as part of the purchase instead of deciding whether you want 300mm or 320mm
The exchangeable grips is huge benifit. I have a GSI x-29 and the grip is just right for me. The bigger grips on the other GSI was a deal breaker for me. The plastic on this wheel for that price is not acceptable😮
Is this even available? I tried to buy it a few days ago but it's not on their website. I have seen a few videos on this and I'm a little confused why they are promoting this if it's not even on their website.
I dont think an expensive wheel is "for pros" cause it doesnt really make you faster, its just nice. Although its true that this one is overrpriced af since at 1.5k were at a high end price range where you can get INSANE wheels from other companies
@dinonuggies2276 your right, what I meant was if you play 5h/week and just having fun in lower competition I don't see the point of buying overpriced gears. Wherefore I feel its mor for "pros"
@@snippidippi i mean... i cant say because i just spend 2.5k on a wheel as a n0ob... and i bought almost everything in iracing for offline racing only😂
I think its thebest wheel in the market. Its the most versatile wheel. The reason i say that its because you can use this wheel for both GTs ( 320 mm) and GTPs with the screen and 300 mm. Grips). So with this wheel I probably wouldn’t need any other wheel.

Too many negatives to justify the ridiculous price. Get rid of the screen and add buttons then drop the price under 1k

Switches on lower half are too closely spaced. Three rotary encoders should be in a triangle layout, instead of one row. Then make the knobs larger.
